UM ...

I'm not entirely sure about ZERO DAYS. Unlike thousands of segregation for the Israel tip was to take days of rest every 5-7 days. And I personally, and I stress personally I wouldn't need it except after cockscomb also really wanted to stay on the field because I love breakfast.

There is certainly something that I'd rather stay with people I knew already. I guess I'll just have to see how it goes on the PCT. You can't plan everything in advance.

Not going to conserve food. But to save money.

I can find the golden mean between to eat properly to maintain your body and not get much. As soon as I find patents report!!!

Thanks for the advice!

Fly-$ 1000.
Insurance-$ 350.
It depends on what equipment you have. If you are a beginner-מ0 pod shcsh, 250, 200 200 tent, add in about 300 to around the camera and electronics.
About the trail itself-aiiker box can indeed save many. I had all week that someone left. It all depends on how ziros (days) you are taking. Most of the expense. Personally I get on average $ 10 per night. Meals-$ 8.

Total say on average $ email (not including flights and equipment).

Constantly talking about how Americans are preparing themselves in advance packages and the Israelis don't do that because they have family in the United States to get them.

Well, I have a family in the USA, you can organize and help along the way.

The question is, is it worth it? In terms of cost versus benefit.

From what I've seen in any town in Appalachia can buy food, shipping or the House must reach an open-villages has almost always unable to take whatever sent because I am overweight, always send. Most people don't do that. The service is used when you want to send to yourself will have summer equipment or any other equipment I bought shoes lying to myself, and when I had ordered mine ripped a pair I picked out and bad choices in the stores haven't always been on track.

I'm probably one of the most extreme examples of trails sparingly (not to say cheap).   My experience on the PCT almost never worthwhile to send packages to yourself. There's one place on the PCT (Canadian DOS) you might want to do this and two to five locations on the CDT that it should.  The problem is you never know in advance how much food you need. Rarely entering a town with zero food, so keep food from the previous part.  This means that almost always, people with packages have to leave at least aiiker a day or two of food every time.  Totally eliminate the viability of. This is assuming that your relatives are somewhere in California, so that the relatively low packages.  In addition (and this is another consideration) usually use in food varies throughout the month.  Granola, oatmeal and the taste changes more towards junk food and chocolate.  I have a friend who for three years has given his relatives Granola as holiday gifts after Christmas stuck with 30 kg, we planned to eat apalatim and after 2 weeks so he got tired of them he couldn't touch.
There's a reason you find all aiiker food box is that people discover this truth.  By the way, so I wouldn't count on a Shaker. The grim truth is that sometimes you get extremely rare in toto and find dinner Paris, 90% of DRE cases about appetizingly. food people leave in aiiker in okses.  If you're ready to go all the way on oatmeal, you won't have to pay a dollar, but I'm not going to even get to this level.  Food is one of the great pleasures of walking long distances, and compromise you give up a large part of the fun.

The only ones who really need packages are people with special needs diatrim religious, or vegan. The rest will save money and misery if go for Kenya on their way.

Agree with every word of Rooney. I wouldn't trust the Baker BOXX, although sometimes I do find. Sometimes things tchchnanti to buy.
What fun that you indulgent packages with things from home that you can't get anywhere (and mom's cookies, or flecks, biscuits, black coffee, and unlike panties, movies and music etc.).
What can help is to send the family USA maps and YOGI pages sent each time only what you need, and to open a BOX every BOUNCE.
I guess better than after the Sierra ... I am in 454, HIKER HEAVEN
P. s.

Roni-you have a lot of DASHIM from people around (hatman and happyfeet and squatch and others ...)

I'm putting an answer about a question he asked me about Mexico for resupply vvr versus here, as I don't have his email,

I would definetly go with Mexico.

It will save You carrying a sh * tload of food over forester pass, and being pretty misrable in days with before. Ten days of carrying food from k. M will suck, especialy as You won ' t have the food to slow down and hike the sieras in a more leisurly pace.

Mexico will cost You an extra day of hiking over kearsage pass, but its realy realy beautiful, hiking, with a couple of lakes on the way, so its worth it

Would be if the only from System.exception Your a super fast and super strong hiker in a rush to finish and that one day would make a difference.

Send regards to everyone.

Roni

Just out of curiousity, Ido wrote about after all the DASHIM sent to me, here's a question to veterans (and PCT I guess other trails in the U.S.

How was it annoying, if at all, to hear my name mentioned whenever you said You were from Israel?

I know that when I started hiking the A.T. everyone would mention the name of kutsa, which was kind of weird, because I know her from my army service six years before, but never met her on the trail.

I agree with Rooney.
Need to add this to the growing appetite of Sierra, I ended up eating a lot more every day, and go to school I recommend hitch to the Bishop and to spend the night. Independence it dead.

I plan to start the aplatim.

I want to check the option if I wanted then to proceed to the Pacific.

How it works out in terms of start date? You can start the Pacific around October November?

If not how can I combine them? With a few months break between the first and second course.

You can't combine, one after the other. PCT aplatim is similar to open the spring until the autumn October = snow in mountain passes. Finished, September אפלצ'ים Wait for the end of March.

Even though you can bet if it's possible to do AT the CDT and the PCT in one year.
It is possible. Someone already has. But it is not easy at all.

Standard conditions of two trails ה"עונות quite overlap. If "several months" will have a good time, from September to April, you can do it year after year.
