Good luck!!! All the way to the end!

The PCT certainly takes up space in the TO DO list.

We encourage you to write some reviews on major equipment that was you, impressions and significant lessons learned.

Reviews, impressions and indeed lessons soon.
Initial recommendations for preparing for departure next year not to buy the guidebooks. The perfect combination for many is: halfmile, maps and databook of Yogi. With the last one I recommend to wait as much as possible with the school for (separate school preparations) that there's a lot she needs to update.
Also-buy all (!) equipment in San Diego or book online before from REI or olteraliit companies. The Kenya of cameras/MP3 etc I would recommend doing.
Another important thing is almost all media and all hotel facilities have wi-fi, and in retrospect I advanced phone with ... There is also a peek device that sends and receives emails on cellular network (tmobile) worked great for many boys and is quite inexpensive. For more details don't hesitate to talk to me-054-2222572.

Beautiful bespoke

Great picture!

I'd love to know what the cost (more or less) of "the journey".
(For example no flying equipment)

Thank you!

I'd say 3000 dollars not including equipment (that you buy along the way due to delete socks, shoes, clothing) and let you do whatever you want more or less.

The prevailing opinion among us on the PCT was email about dollar I spent less than $ 1 a day on food, so really what determines the overall expenditure is what you spend on reaching the cities etc. Did you take a hotel room or go camping? Are you trying to make it as little as possible and focus on stopping at trail angels (some you need to leave a donation) did you buy any stop in service as the Americans (like water for them!) or just one?
Has someone done that day like me (19.09) but he began June 17 at 11 and I. He stopped only twice a day of rest and that because he had ... I guess his trip was much (much!) more.

Hello

My friend and I are planning to do the PCT.

In three years at the end of the year. I know

It is a long way off, but now need to save

And I wanted to ask if someone can make an estimate of how much

We have to save?  Includes all flights, visas, food, accomodation in hostels

Where possible, etc.

Thank you....

Fly-$ 750?

I don't know, visa in the Embassy.

-If you don't have a whole one-get ready for a few thousand people (backpack, tent, mattress, clothing, cooking equipment, clothing, apparel, shoes, socks) in Forum equipment list.

Free accommodations. There are no hostels. (Tent)

More details Conference site

TRAILFORUMS under PCT

Or the official website for.

There is a lot of material.

Of dollars to mail quite catch. Of course this doesn't include flight and upon initial equipment (but includes depreciation of equipment). It took about $ 5000 with all sorts of goodies on the way.

Here's a link to a post that has a discussion about walking on the costs PCT. .

Also, a search on TrailsJournal The value of PCT costs, among other things, the following:

Another link to FAQ For there's a short answer that evaluates the costs

This site also has basic information about the generic pathway.

There is also a computer M. Griffin Craig (but where only costs planning walking option)

The important thing I think is that some participants in the Forum who followed the path and can consult you and get enough information.

Me and a friend want to fly in June for the Rockies to get Lara to walk in PCT, we started planning about the trip we sit on it in the coming weeks.

But to enter the us need to confirm it by entering the country I don't think bureaucrat two youngsters with large bags on their backs (and after a month and a half trip in Canada-not at Garden State) make an impression of people who aren't going to look for a job in the way we're going to do. Someone did once problems logging in because he said he was going to travel 5 months?

Igina mode? First go and beat.

The best the truth – tell how tall you make. People come to Atlanta and six months in the Appalachian mountains and have problems. Present airline tickets and money and be fine.

Just don't begin to start to organise your stories whether do problems, nothing but the truth.

And PCT do not begin in June, but in April. But if ontchs to do. More about the book. Read also in the Forum.

Hello I want to make the pct but Canada and Mexico. Can anyone tell me what months makes sense to do the course?

Big I came to the us in August this area but maybe it caught me doing it backwards, it is unlikely that I get to warmer areas toward November December

So I'd like to know dates and advantages disadvantages to walk this way and those dates. Thank you
