The book is divided into two books.
With school information and lots of ideas for bikers and organizing equipment.
And for manual with information on towns and random tips and different opinions about all kinds of things. Yogi's nice but is a bit messy and a lot less crowded and obictivi information.

I began the process of removing the visa today.
Fill in.
I currently have a bit of a problem, a good friend is getting married in June.

About the PCT PLANNER
I'm not so sure what to write at a walking pace and walk
I was going pretty fast, but I don't know how much is in miles per hour. The average person goes relatively quickly.
At the moment I wrote 3 mph but I think it's pretty easy isn't it?

Another question, all the marked points as HIGHWAY means you need to hitch a ride somewhere or is there some shop at this point?
Because I think I'd rather buy food for a day or two than to rely on time-consuming ride.

The PCT planner is nice but lacks information about what really resupply there, it can be a full city gas station with a small shop or a resort to a package in the mail and there is not much to buy.

Usually a Highway means that catching a ride or walking a short distance to the town, sometimes in some cases it could be more than a ride.
In this link
Http://www.pcta.org//planning/before_trip/strategy.asp

The Division has for those who do not want to send food packages mailed to himself, this will give you some idea.
I think combining between towns on the way to buy and how much of a big city to send packages is a good solution in terms of diversity in food, the convenience of receiving a package, then there are fewer errands to run and save quite a bit of money. Very large budget writers in the USA compared with small shops at a gas station in the middle of nowhere, and are very cheap and reliable.

This is exactly what I was afraid of him.
To get to some resort without a store.
I'll check the link you gave me.

Read the article in the link you sent me.
Audio is exactly the kind of trip that I seek, I love nature but I also love to visit all kinds of small towns and see how people live and talk to the locals. It is very special to me.
The question is how realistic to catch rides in all the places he mentions?
You use the program. Arthur 41282.6937152778

Hitching is mostly luck, got to wait 5 minutes to lift someone else waited two hours. There's a little more difficult than other rides, but merely the most waited for a ride was to ETNA which was little more than an hour. Most of the time people were really nice and the rides were added for fun experience.
I buy food composites and to send relatively big city packages down the road, what he offers is not to send even one package all the way.
It is possible but would be some sections that have to carry food for 150-160 mph, it should buy food sucks and is very expensive in many small shops.

Yes I see what you mean.
The combination of buy in + send a package to problematic places look like the best method. As long as you know what Earl spots beforehand.
The list you sent me this site + close the corner of the supply.

I noticed that nobody talks about.
You cook during for Or dry food?

When aleia. Very easy to find cheaper alcohol and sometimes even for free in aiiker box or with Maliki that Bill.
There are many who take gas balloons, not really searched so I don't really know how it's available everywhere. But it didn't seem a problem for people.

Pepsi Stube.

Fly:. don't use all sorts-some companies come to the Embassy, and clearly the craziest thing you're going to do and what they want (payroll, and reservists have other evidence that you're not left in the country-the options are limited to those back-the warranty is possible)

Write a letter to PCTA to jack hacksel don't remember exactly the name and ask you sent along with the permit letter explaining the visa officials or customs officials unswell the purpose of the trip and how long you should stay.
Even if you obtain a visa of the customs official is the sole authority that determines how long you can stay, I asked about six months ago I explained a little about the trip and gave me problems.

PCT 2012ביקורת equipment and tips in General
Ula catalyst backpack.
I was disappointed of the case if I could replace him. Another reason I buy all the gear at REI
The relatively long lay bag carrying over 14 pounds including food and water. In the Sierras and loads more pounds of the plastic bear box easy to swipe it, and in the desert carry plenty of water. Towards the end of the trip that had risen significantly and carrying four days of food in my bag was really not.
Good neighbor things, also got a beer when he's big kanister. There's plenty of room,
Front rest for things that need to get to them fast and large pockets on the waist belt is extremely comfortable.
Large side pockets and can actually be accessed without downloading the file.
And their service is superb waist belt sent me a new one free of charge after your pockets broke.

Shcsh rei sub 20 kilo
Great sleeping bag, and I think he was in the $ 160
He weighs about 800 grams but not olterliit relative to price and he is hot.
He has no real trip stock and is still in good condition, had a cold in one night I actually went to the area although I slept with liner and isothermal trailers clothing. (A liter bottle and a half of water in the tent was a block of ice pay am) the rest of the trip I only slept with liner and sometimes with thermal shirt.
Take the measurement standard and I and the bag 180 cells really just anyone who is a little higher than I think it will not.

Reactor Thermolite Liner ® Sea to Summit

Highly recommend for liner for a long walk, very easy to wash it along with all other Laundry clothes, much nicer to sleep with it compared to a plastic bag, and it adds a little isolating not nearly what they claim, but still it's nice and smelly sleeping bag.

Thermarest z lite
Bad mattress. Barely a month later compacted and insulated at all if he feels there.
Thermarest ridgerest changing to
Much better but not too compressed so much that it is unusable. In retrospect maybe I'd buy swells despite can't sit on them, so it's a little breaks.

Stratospire tarptent 1
My girlfriend and I slept in a tent, so criticism is it accordingly.
Good tent some complicated construction but you get used to it, it is important that the clubs ' sharp ahodim insures that there is (not completely laws) are not going to their place and they can slip out, have 6 idthot for tent standing and then he would also eight ghosts are very strong. You can draw a good tent and made walking sticks can stretch without leaving the tent.
Very large terraces one can put a bag and equipment spread most morning network did each his porch because the inside of the tent is very small for two people. (2 mattresses some overlapped one another.
That tent is two layers helps with condensing but if really send nothing really helps. A network only in warm weather it's nice.
A very important advantage you need to dismantle the tent and rain that can break up the inside of the tent inside and then disassemble the manifold.
At first used in tiiock, after we made a hole in the ground bought the tiiock and fixed with koplast.
If sleeping on wet soil or wet grass, moisture will penetrate the floor of the tent not to the mattress.
Henry's service very good, twice he send us by mail new zippers replaced them alone (it's easy) has a lot of dust that erases for the zipper unless you wash and clean them. I think you should just ask him beforehand spare rochnsim.
A lot of rain, but not least we had the tent if it worked fine.
Winds were the tent holding up very well.

Clothing
Socks
Wrightsock REI
Excellent and inexpensive stocking I tshmshti injinji-liner thing too lightweight
The fingers removed socks significantly the amount of blisters.
They also have a Midweight is resting.

REI desert gaiters
Very comfortable then after 400 miles or so

Exofficio raw boxer briefs
Ndefot cool underwear, pants underwear moved to run a lot more rest there is no comparison.

REI sahara pants
Bad uncomfortable pants belt opens each time I saw at least 4 for bikers with a tear in the back of my pants.
Warm clothing
Had West down is very warm I would prefer something with sleeves, but it was a matter of budget.
Thermal shirt and thick tights and socks (some of the time I put them in a rape)
Warm hat and gloves grabbed all the time and I used them a lot.
Sierra design rain pants
Budget also breaks the spirit of lying. And it really sucks to go through loads of vegetation is wet in the morning so cold without it.
MARMOT PRECIP rain jacket
I think relative to how he rises above it's cool he's breathing in my opinion. And at the end of the hike all the tape sealing the seams from the inside apart and returned it to REI.
Can't access his pockets that the waist belt covers them.

Crocs-I bought imitation 8 $ too bad hatkmtznati that are uncomfortable and even heavier
Cooking
Ultralight evernew 1.3 l ti pot
Excellent pot has no tear apart from rubber on the handles but they don't overheat. While cook something so won't stick with liquids and coating.
When I made something similar aleia
Alcohol stove stove top burner zen
The only difference I used smaller cans of Red Bull and made 16 holes of 1.5 mm
The chaleia worked great for dinner for two persons we had between 30-40 ml depending on what we drink warm enough, 15 mm
The great advantage of this type is that so easy to light and there is no need in priiming.
To remove this network thin rolled iron and windscreen windscreen is aluminum that comes with the MSR's nzinia
For there was no assessment on the island until the end of the trip.
We also each plastic box half-liter siplock for cornflakes in the morning hot drinks and dinner. Really annoying to eat from the same pot.
-I SAC sack sleeping bag's storage more convenient nylon bags that tear after

Water purification
At first we used the drops of Aqua.
Disadvantages
Had to wait 20 minutes before drinking the water.
All the Purifier should prepare a solution of 2 drops and wait five minutes.
There's no real way of knowing when the bottles end, doubles set in about two weeks.
Eventually have many sets all and it goes more for expensive filters.
It's kind of a bummer to see the Creek flowing with cold water after 20 minutes to drink warm water with taste of chlorine

Squeeze sawyer water filter
Very good cheap filter.
The bags that come with really bad especially if you not soft (I broke 3 a week) you can use bottles also have worked best in bottle of SMARTWATER's pint they lasted longer than the others.
You can also use the drink bags used as a gravity filter.
Because the path has many water sources whenever possible take a quart or two and it takes comparatively little time if you need a large quantity like the desert it is best to use as gravity that's already almost always stop in the water source.
Clean the filter if tap and it threw and who doesn't take long, no filter parts moving so there is a lot of gas just needs to keep freeze.

Maps and books
Maps of the Alp miles cost think will give you the updated version that has changes.
You can download the information for smart software von as backcountry navigator pro
It is not a substitute for a map that very small screen and it consumes a lot of battery, but it can help to know which email you.
POSTHOLER maps
Printed maps of good quality and they are not expensive and altitude profile is at the bottom of each map and makes it easier to read the map.
The map has many mistakes and missing information, I probably wouldn't recommend to use.

Yogi's book useful mostly make food packs, he says in a very messy and ainiinit.

Solar Chargers
I've tried two kinds and neither really worked so well.
Solio Bolt

A terrible player, when he charged from electricity until the end played a battery of smart von 90%
The device loses the case and charge that he used
After a few days the cargo bag every day and breaks aimed at is loaded to barely 40% which is another.

Goal zero nomad 7
Better charger has no internal battery, but an hour and a half of Sun claiming 20%. Very problematic to use it not inconsistent because Sun break depleted battery instead of loading.
The volume of the baggage, and after two months barely worked, and returned it to REI

Unlocked
A very useful instrument in particular, access to the Internet. Wi-Fi is available in many places but very few computers with access to
Could do with a lot of things but it's major drawback that battery runs out fast.

SPOT
Relatively good works sometimes OK message not coming so need to make this family not idisgrano. I think there are a lot of situations on the path that can help, and there were few rescues on the road this season. There are very few cellular places on the trail.

Ice axe
There was very little snow in the Sierra and Washington relative to other years. Sierra had ice axe and used only at Shani passim.
When a neighbor needed it did Noah have something stable to lean on in the snow if you're afraid of heights, like me.
Crampons or spikes didn't happen and some in Washington who really regretted that I didn't take.
Walk on hard ice that can slide much below that not very nice.
I think walking sticks lhatshmsh instead of an axe is not feasible. Canes provide more stability but if you slipped and trying to stop with the stick is simply broken.

Mosquito net for face and 100% DEET
To me it seems to me that duty can be losing.

First aid
LEUKOTAPE
The only tape really left foot blister while walking, and very successful repair holes in the tent bag or anything else. It is not in pharmacies to allow book Amazon or the country.
Sintomatin ointment blisters that mostly hazdamo
Red skin of phyto cream to have blisters that goes in there things but less successful shpshfot
Small sewing kit
Eibofen
אלכוג'ל
Iodine disinfection
Some small gses

Small plastic shovel spoon
Helps maintain cleanliness for you can try digging with a stone or something to find. In practice it's not really working and sometimes with hard spade to dig a hole.
Sea to summit dry sack event compression attribute
Expensive bag but very good and easy to spend after the trip.
Sea to summit ultra-sil dry sack
But the bag very delicate at the end of the tape inside trip fell apart completely.

Resupply
I think combining between to send packages from large cities and way to buy on the road when possible it is a good combination.
You can do without but it means packages to carry larger distances and food most eat small shops is very same and expensive.
The USA is very cheap and reliable, and in most places you can send your package to place opening hours better mail administration, post office have mostly for rape.
Places to send them bales
San Diego
Argentinean dulce Agua allow sometimes gets a ride to Walmart
There is a grocery store outlet store in south lake tahoe are really cheap.
Ashland
Cascade locks setting/hoodriver
Supplies can be ordered from the Internet or phone to wait for a post or anywhere else that accepts packages.
I'd prefer to send a post request because the package transferred otherwise come and programs
Change
That's only true for USPS PRIORITY MAIL
REI
You should buy all the gear in there just because you have always the option to decide not comfortable or not you replace, you can return the equipment through the mail.
Their service really is excellent and worth the difference in price, sometimes you can find online.

Acrophobia-I personally suffer from acrophobia is not easy, anywhere that is problematic from the point of view of acrophobia is for space walk near a cliff and this places, what PCT I remember were problematic for me.

I write about the areas under them of HALF MILE
170 San isinto area
Forsters 780 pass
Goat rocks wilderness before 2300 e-mail about a lot of thing discourage said it very frightening truth that he was fine.

2400 Snoqualmie Pass after a very short section, so maybe 2 minutes walk.

That's all I remember, I also traveled in 2012, so there was no snow on almost all Sierra passim so I guess things would feel differently if there was snow:)41361.4853125 leibman2

Interesting. I went through some different experiences with some of the equipment that you describe here. But it makes sense because it really depends on the person and the year you left the track. Thanks for the detail
