Only trail is 3,700 miles, tell us more about run without logistical support: you have to eat, to drink, to purify water, to wash off the trail into town to stock up or eat without backpack, for example, when the road to hitchhike into town next door might not take you because you don't see the Baker with the heavy backpack and clothes. About to sleep for example-you have a tent, mattress, sleeping in "hostel" or not "hostel, and with winter clothes? Snow not likely even lower Appalachian mountains in April. What was being done not for on day 61. He was also without support.

The entire equipment. Osprey atmos 65 backpack Montreuil jogging shoes and no type-Solomon. Instead lies miles and levy of alpinitsts (400 g) of lyophilized 7 packages sent to selected stations on the way.

Already marked in towns where I way supplies again includes the name of the store and the address into gear to weather the situation.

Most important is the lesson: just 90 miles a week with 15 kg on the back of the plan of 16 hours of movement.

A few questions to Carlos:
15 kg sounds heavy. It's only for training
Whether you are preparing your own food? With which device? I know dehydrators lyophilization device but not ...
Some also levy and? ד"א my surprise-size rule of thumb is that mutating viruses in existence going with tiny files.

About do-1 kg per day account, off trail towns to obtain it.  Running with 15 kg? Sounds like a lot.

Yes. Carlos l running the Sahara Marathon and the Israel National Trail and race State peripheral to the 60-celebrations

Indeed big backpack but since I don't have any logistical assistance and know anyone I have all the necessities to be with me, including considerable medical file because the feet are beginning to open up after two weeks, the sort that I wear to take medicines and injections and stuff. The food is the same type as Sahara ishtmshno something similar to her warm but much more sophisticated bring Mare, Germany and France also have that add things but the main dishes and warm at the end of the day be bags to sleep if you fall at night between psychological processes and obsolete in the field have a Cape out "Thule", the base of the tent lay on the floor, miles of sliooha and it kind of hivi Minister coverage is completely sealed for rain and wind with guard shaft and body heat. Alpinistim use it developed a system of prolonged running slower with weight on their backs yesterday I ran 30 km with 12 kg.

47 days about so-called "race" supported with running mates, minimal weight and body looking out for supplies and logistics.

There's the other kind, what we call "s0lo" unsupported effort what I intend to do the peak belongs to Leonard:

For those preparing to leave

* Please note *

The crazy weather and get crazy.

I felt that for the previous winter, April, may, June 2009

Winter becomes longer and harder than before, consider this no matter what you do at the end of trail

To me, this is the first time I saw your post about the Appalachian spring.
I think anyone who thinks to do THRUHIKE of Appalachian spring should read the post. I agree with most of what you wrote about Americans (although you really can't generalize, there are places with very different mentality in the USA) on what you wrote about.
But keep in mind, though, that went in rainy year. I doubt if the winters are getting worse. There are easier and cooler winters and wetter summers. Experienced particularly wet spring, just like those who endeavoured to start ethera spring 03. Eventually a year get wet eventually, whether it's worth to you.

I'm thinking about doing a part of the Appalachian Trail, I was thinking something like 2-3 months. Right now, I don't have a partner, and I think to start in May.

Can anyone give me information on this trip? Does it make sense to start in May and end in July? To start? How should such trip cost? Go north or South, and where should I start?

For my personal opinion on the trail of two months three more fun than five to six months in a row, especially onto a monotone as apalch. (I plan to do a section of trail from the last week of April in Central Virginia for mid-June in Pennsylvania.)
Also the start alone, because this season, especially if you go north, there's a lot of Heri troakerim.      The only problem is that June and July and mainly pretty gross if you are in the South, so you might want to do and then jump and North and Maine and New Hampshire in July. Cost 10-25 $ a day and even slightly less, excluding equipment, depending on how you want to sleep in lodges and motels along the way. (Cheaper South of the North)

Hey

I walk on pathway 7.5.2010 South to North but ran in order to try to determine ... Or near the track record stands today on 60.5 days if you do it without logistical support and equipment on your back.

1 well done. And good luck! Put pipe reported.
2. sponsors? Grameen sonto or or Silva won't let you at least watch? (Some run timers sonto going with recording and some good surface models with barometer and altitude profiles, you must learn the model Silva steps/distance some models can accommodate ג'פס and direct recording, you may break a Guinness world record). Go to white or black diamond or gosmeyer or Henry Hare?. Akooamira- Sierra design? Not talking about low or norfiis, these companies are too big and move slowly. Time presses but maybe some ascapi phones in the small number of manufacturers Ho middle-sized something.
3. If someone here can link you to a friend they know on the AT and occasionally give some support. Tzurlis 40291.8115393519

Just something new, I decided to check and so on Appalachia.
I created a Google List with some links have on Appalachia. Is public, and anyone can see it.
Appalachian Trail

Apparently not everyone can edit and add information, but I hope that Google will improve it more.
