Great information guys another one had to ask right now is food and water, what is the best pure today, how much water to carry what the easiest to carry water?

About food so I walked was acceptable to send food packages to mail houses, are today behave like that and if so, how to do it. If not, then what?

Another thing, I've seen pictures of professionals and saw everyone going with פאוצ'ים and things hanging out of a backpack.

Thank you, just fun people have experienced so much in Israel who can help that.

Water purification device installation: PUR TWO DOUBLES

I couldn't help but take at least 2 litres, the Americans took a pint every time tested water source has all 5 miles and lots of water. Loads.

Water hose suction casing.

The Americans for their own food, I don't need complicated. There is plenty of food in the "ss" iolkerd every town and in every hostel. And of course stores..

No hanging things, overall, Bobs, fall, caught in branches, Central weight.

If the backpack is big enough.

I had another foam mattress it tied outside. But, in fact, always channeling something outside, sandals, storm, a garbage bag.

I'm planning a trip to the United States before the draft around mid-late January and thought it would be nice to make some really beautiful. haple or PCT.

I wanted to know if there are sections of those trails that are worth the effort of getting them on my trip is planned for New York and Chicago. I don't plan to do some serious walking in these places, with the walk (max bag with food and water). It is therefore important to carry them ' dangerous b-be hostels you can stay in them them one night and will be close to major transport links. If some locations on the trails, I'd love to hear.

Otherwise, I'd love to hear about places worth visiting in the us (or Canada) and comply with the conditions f.

Thanks a lot!

Can be done a day or two in the apalch fun in every season except winter, and January is the height of winter. It's not impossible, but it's not trivial. There is almost no one on the trail in winter except hunters and therefore almost all hostels.        However, if you have a car, and you're in the New York City area, you can take an hour up the Hudson to HARRIMAN STATE PARK and crossing to do some daily walks, including the apalch. The Park is closed to hunting, and more impressive views. There might be snow, could not be there. It is impossible to know. Check the weather on that day. It's not dangerous at all as long as you don't do stupid things and forgets how the sun sets early in winter.
I was there a month and a half ago and it was really nice there. If you want I can recommend a couple of tracks.    About-just find a cheap motel in the area. If you don't have a car (very easy to rent a car in the USA) have to rely on public transport there. This does, but using it requires careful planning, and I really don't recommend this winter for safety reasons and because really no fun to freeze my ass off while waiting for the bus for an hour.

Chicago area there and in winter really, really, really cold out there. Once you get your head out of the car window, heated figure why nobody walking there in winter.

I have a car Greece I have a permit, but you may have to the transport routes-hosted at David who lives in Queens. You can recommend the New York area, and list some of the reasons the instance (hypothermia, or better?)

Is there any section not in the New York area or Chicago, you can explore this season in a day or two, and have him transportation and conditions that I wrote? I have no problem getting to state something if there is something I missed.

Thank you

Photo from the Park (from the top of BEAR MOUNTAIN) on the apalch himself six weeks ago. (Keep in mind that if the four times I was there, this is the first show was good enough to see New York City.)

Public transport in most u.s. d simply doesn't exist. HARRIMAN is one of the few places to which public transportation from New York, and even then it's a bus or train every few hours. If you are going out for a few days and sleep on the ground and can be arranged to fit but it requires heavy winter gear.
I don't think you realize how cold it is there in January. The temperature there is usually about five degrees Celsius from New York next in micro climate because of all the asphalt and proximity to the sea.   Although sometimes the temperature can even be on January 10 or 15 degrees, the temperature in winter resembles hariman temperature you find on the top of Mount Hermon (only much less snow there, because this is not a high mountain).    Which is exactly the way you need to treat it--as a trip to the top of Mount Hermon. No big deal if you have a shuttle waiting for you back home any time off, ' but if you have to rely on Egged bus Rimonim is much more problematic.
You should ask your friends in Chicago, what you need to get in order not to freeze. The temperature in the area are so cold that small lakes freeze in winter so hard that people driving across the frozen lake with vans.

Again, if you have the drive you anywhere, this is actually a great idea ariman day trip that you can drive almost to the Summit of BEAR MOUNTAIN if unfinished road in ice/snow why he closed a short walk on the trail or the road would be nice.
But my experience is that Americans, especially Americans, don't even think about that possibility out winter and heated walk.

About other countries. The only country which probably won't freeze my ass off in January is Florida, and there are some very cool locations on Florida, but not something you want to go in for a thousand miles all Greece just to spend a day or two.

About water-many throughout the path with iodine. First with iodine pills, then with polar caps-tincture of iodine. Almost all the water you can find across the Appalachia they may clean Springs, and in some places even have need for iodine. But just in case ...
I know it's not like filter filters, but it's sufficient. And it sure was a lot easier.

Hi Jackie

Regarding your question on women alone wanted to comment, about a third of the trail I went alone (including sleep alone in shlterim in Maine), and it felt perfectly safe.

Plus, see Amnon's sex and thick forest and realize actual albido Lic. ...

At the end of March you don't stand a chance without the shlterim tent will be filled with other akers, and you will not be able to count on to sleep in them.

About the stores where they obtain food super markets. You pass in any 3-4 days a super close to (and generally have relatively large stores anyway, almost every town has a sufficient store) and buy some meal Lipton, a few bags of tuna, bars of chocolate. What you want. Bread, PITA, tortillas. Yellow cheese.

A deal would suffice, although two people it would be a little tight. Still no where fast with the food, and I think it's worth waiting a few minutes for lunch, and to carry a deal.

The moment you reveal to us marine equipment list.

Amtrak is right, deal for two people, a little crowded. This means the pot is bigger, longer, more alcohol. What happens if God forbid break? Should separate systems. So can a range.

Clothing hot temperatures expected, shampoo. Storm supplies and heating.

Two things:

1. Chico and I got along with questions to us, no problem at all, of the liter. But really it's up to you how much this means to you and pamper you. For example, consider how many times you want to cook every day, and it will invest (more times, better equipment, and weight of propane, for example, have been offset with the weight of chale. However if you want to Cook only once in the evening for example, better equipment easier, and more affordable deal gets longer, because need less chale, and Max can do tricks like to infuse the food a few minutes in the water until the founders the tent It will cook faster, and saves chale)

2. water purification drops called "Aqua Mira" ease and safety to your body much more equipment + no nasty aftertaste.

The easiest there is not carrying anything. For to carry something, you need to carry the minimum.
Just write the exact list and people tell you what you can throw away. This is Ma favourite.

Reaction to the list.

The backpack bomb!
The tent doesn't fit! Most sleep is shlterim and therefore need Tarp Tent for weight savings.
The apalazim need to start sleeping bag and blanket and brass good for summer.
If you are the top League then Nunatak company have the right bag.
It is recommended to add Leiner silk sleeping bag.
Walking poles should be LEKI olterliit series.
My recommended mattress: ProLite 4 despite allowing apalazim to save weight.
Giiters are a very important item you should buy and Mountain Hardwear company.
Item is particularly important for apalazim quality. with small holes! Althosh is bullshit.

Unnecessary things on the list.

Pants + rain jacket
Wet wipes
Bathing suit.
Garbage bags
Hairbrush
Shampoo

First of all thanks. I think I sleep only in the tent, if that's the case you think it's worth buying a tent or what you said enough anyway? Need something like poncho rain or it really?
