Hello to everyone!

Don't know who remember asking a few months ago about the GR11 route, and anyway many pages, so thank you.

Returned from nearly three months of walking, composed of the GR11 route (from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea) and immediately followed by 35 days of continuous route in Norway (from Geiranger to stonework, famous Kjerag at Lysefjord).

Anyone interested in information about each of the locations/routes etc.-Welcome to fun.
I enclose a link to the YouTube video I made, a little long so feel free to skip (it is recommended to select the highest quality watch)
The clip

Added edit after comments:

Thank you everyone for the comments, glad you liked the film!

In this post I try to elaborate on the routes and to answer the questions raised. I know things went a bit chaotic, not all comprehensive. I really would love to meet and elaborate on anything, so if there's another announcement questions and comments – happily.

Start with a short reference to the Pyrenees, Spain – the GR11. Because short written about quite a bit here in the Forum, especially detailed message matanba Forum Member who helped me a lot in preparation for the track (thanks, on this occasion!).
Some specific points to those who plan to go to GR11 –

1. the combination of the Cicerone + Prames's maps (recommended to buy already in Barcelona) are doing excellent work, no longer need it, you don't have to buy big maps for each region. Most of the trail is marked, some days but problematic.

2 of course many little things no longer current in Cicerone (2008 expense), but there's one thing changed and large better noticing – three days of a completely different route. This means from Burgete to the town of Ochagavia (5-7 days according to the book), by the book should go a certain way (Fabrica de casas de irati orbaiceta then) while in the field marked a completely different way, starting from Burgete. So I usually timatomi went by the book, and follow the signs/Simon, and although I managed to arrive two days later Ochagavia – but they were pretty annoying days of uncertainty, the ל"איבוד walk, crossing forests or mountains, according to General Greece etc. In short – if really boring and you are looking for another challenge – go for it, if not – follow the signs on the ground.

3. gas tanks to the much more common than in flare. This means the blue gas tanks/Orange, "Camping Gas. On the other hand, the screw-type vessels, Dr. Coleman combination of propane/butane is also possible to find in some places and they are better. So for your own discretion. Anyway, if you're replacing – bought enough in Barcelona, Irun (the starting point) sells only punch containers.

4. prices/tent enthusiasts can sleep in a tent, or in 99.9 percent of the time, and that's what I did. Even in towns where there are no camping or open area for tents (and friendly school must sleep in hotel/hostel) – you can always ask at the bar/tobacco shop where open tent discreetly without disturbing anyone, always have. The only problem could be in the Park, but torts Aguas anyway you can cross the Park on days and where to find a place for a tent.

Ma – all have food town, and not three days without a town, so it's really no big deal. I should sleep almost every night in the tent, most of them in the wild and some camping, and once or twice in Refugio. I personally think camping houses, and many of those are nice intermediate solution – pay 10-15 euros and get a shower, toilets, electricity and private tent that Refugio.
About snow-season was it wasn't much snow (started on June 20). The crampons you videos rented in the town of benasque to climbing the Aneto (the highest mountain in the Pyrenees), which is part of the course. Totally recommended! Whoever climbs it South (the direction that goes) hardly likely to see anyone on the way up, when Greece most people from North, so it was definitely experience and worth the time/investment.
Mountain Hardwear tent equipment – Lightpath 2, good job. Space for one person, a little tight to 2. The Tecnica shoes I bought started to open/all unravel after three weeks like this were not sealed, and towards the end the sole was absolutely seamless so you slipped and fell on average 3 times a day.

Again, there are lots of little details that I can add, closed/opened, rpoachuse stores that don't exist in towns, etc, but it doesn't matter all Forum, so anyone who wants specific information can turn to private message.

Norway
A story completely different from Spain, in many ways.
I put links to planning map of the Norwegian trekking – DNT, which is a starting point for almost anyone who wants to go in Norway.
Http://www.turistforeningen.no/files/DNT/publikasjoner/planleggingskart/sornorgenord.pdf
Http://www.turistforeningen.no/files/DNT/publikasjoner/planleggingskart/sornorgesor.pdf
Why start? That in Norway, in non-toierim (and most of the regions are not toierim) – there is nothing but the enterprise places. Days with no roads, no towns and sometimes without people. When I planned to go to Norway didn't understand it and planned to rely on shopping in a grocery store once a week and carry everything I need. It turned out to be nearly impossible if you make long route in these mountains. I for example I went there 35 days, and passed once instead. Max little, and packaging it once or twice only. In short, if you are planning to go a week or so – it is possible to come up with store-bought food and carry everything, but long contiguous route – is almost impossible.
And that's the DNT cabins. Go to their official website http://english.turistfor...hp?fo_id=3608&ar_id=9668 rates
The cabins are already posted in the Forum, so be brief – 3 types of DNT cabins-manned, staffed with food storage and warehouse manned without food. Meals are served at staffed The cabins can enter non-manned in der with-key master you can receive for deposit in the DNT Office or in some places are staffed. Are stove with firewood for heating and drying clothes, gas for cooking, kitchen utensils, beds and more (you can see a clip from 9 am to 9:35 minute example of Quonset hut, Skridulaupbu I was told later that the less controlled cabin in Norway, was the 24th person in this year). There is a sofa which are paid in cash or with credit card details. Really amazing mechanism.
In selling (for example iotnheiman) meet in others, but in less familiar areas can go days without seeing any man. Me personally walking case Monday morning through Friday afternoon without seeing any man, or in cabins (for those who see the video – it's the explanation to the poetry scene attracted love.) Is it possible to rely solely on cabins? In theory Yes, in practice I would not like to be in certain areas without a tent. Happened to me for example who happens to be completely I saw a sign on a specific cabin announcing that cabin in my route, so if I didn't see the sign – I reached her without food, no tent, no nothing. It could be a memorable night.

So according to this map I attached myself to track from Geiranger to Lysefjord-the only two places in Norway before I go, so I just decided to plug in. .. In retrospect it's amazing track, and lots of places sell out and/or are amazing – Hardangervidda, Jotunheimen, Breheimen, Skarvheimen and ryfylkeheiene. You could say that you die a cross or some in almost all major areas of southern Norway.
Keep as per ylivny's questions:
Aboutgetting there and if can do only part – of course, check the public transport sites of Norway according to where you want to go/to go. The website I guess I DNT find any references.
Maps – the problem is that I got my start point without maps, planned to buy. After days of walking without a map, I realized that paradoxical — just because the land, the weather, the distances and conditions so problematic — soon to check, so basically you can go without a map. Every 10 feet there in der רוג'ום T red symbol on it, so if you go two minutes without seeing a sign – back up. It's not completely responsible, but again – is it possible to totally practical (fact).
I have enclosed a link costs – up to the DNT cabins with prices. I personally did membership, and I am under the age of 26 (pay half price) so it's really good prices in relation to Europe, and in relation to Norway. The food from the expensive non-manned, but not much more than the rest of Norway. But populate-who cares to eat well/and on the other hand, don't want to spend a lot of money – I give up. There is no such thing. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, so breakfast and lunch were flying/crackers with chocolate or oatmeal and pasta dinner. This is. And it wasn't cheap.
Offences – the relatively low altitudes in Europe (Alps/Pyrenees). However, other difficulties – rocky surface (so you should jump from stone to stone for miles), consecutive days of 2 degrees + rain and wind, crossing streams and cold elements (I'd say on average once a day), do not see people over time, etc. Without exaggeration, who goes only needs to know that if something happens (the smallest – breaking a leg for example) is in serious trouble.-5 hours from the nearest cabin, maybe no one will track over the next few days, most of the time without cellular, with rain and temperatures can worsen some money, etc. I really don't want to say it too hard or requires special skills, but better to know why, and whether it suits us or not. If you're going alone.
Equipment – don't take no special equipment beyond the recommended rims (some in the Forum). In terms of clothing I took 2 of everything (trousers, shirts, underwear, everyone sweating ndefi course), although it is recommended that you take more socks that don't just to dry there. While walking I was cold, rarely dressed t-shirt + a slicker and sometimes + brass. What does – better gloves! Bare hands all the time and the rain and the wind, there were days I couldn't light a match when I got to the cabin that my fingers started to lose sensitivity. Get gloves. Walking sticks better, too, even if you're not accustomed to crossing streams that helps a lot, get support and equilibrium hopping rocks etc. Mine broke, so maybe we should invest it over 100 pounds. If you have specific questions on ask equipment.

In summary I defined Norway-the journey כ"רכבת name" emotional roller coaster: day, 5-9 hours of wild beauty, without seeing people or anything resembling civilization, sometimes straight days of rain and fog, and at the last minute when you're sure I'm running powers – you see on the horizon some non-manned log cabin, in the middle of nowhere. You walk in and you're in another world – quiet, dry, (two hours after lighting the fire in the fireplace, of course), drinking something hot. So passage and hold cannot be used or be bored ". We can only indulge it, powerful incarnation. Hope some of this I was able to move on, and that some who watch him out there to live.

David

Go the hell you and your tracks. I looked in my behind and immediately wanted to hide my walking shoes. Done me completely.

And what this track without a soul? And now much-just a little withholding tent? How the tent? Shoes, which, done, right?

At GR11 run-in? Where did you stay? How ready to go? Planning?

And what about the profile? What gchhem?

And some lessons and tips. Not quite the heartache at least information as to like.

All due respect.

Hi David

First-good and nice movie!
I recommend everyone watch it without skipping--almost 19 minutes pleasant.

I'd be happy if you put us a little () and list some of the less known in Norway.

Points that personally interest me:

Track
* Getting blank start and finish '
* Can only do part of the course.
* Maps
* Costs
Offences
* How would you define the level of difficulty of the track.
* Is the track well-marked trails based on or including improvised sections
* There seems to be a need to perform transitions using streams. Is complicated as it seems?
Equipment
* What? (Special equipment)
* Did the purchase point road
B
I saw in the night slept in a tent and bikatot.
* Can travel only on the basis of cabins
* Do cabins allow purchase

Many thanks and a happy new year!
Jonathan

You must put a warning before the movie starts, something:

"The next film may cause the Viewer to leave work//family studies immediately, packing a backpack and go immediately to the great outdoors-any damage incurred as a result is the only responsibility" or something like that.

A beautiful film and it's amazing.

I'm joining Jonathan – I would like to receive information about the track in Norway.

Happy new year inscribed,

Alon

Oh, fuck, breathing stops.

An awesome movie. Had a great time.

In my fear of heights and I didn't get along with groundwater and wanted to scream you take two steps backward.

And one little comment if you thought about a career as a singer, keep going.

Thanks for sharing and happy new year.

Great movie-I enjoyed the music and the view (your singing a little less ).

Norway looks amazing on the granite cliffs Nigerians reminded me of similar landscapes from New Zealand.

Also I'd like to hear more about your journey.

Stunning views!
End of the trail in Norway the icing on the cake.

Maybe you should get a story with some more details

In Norway a lot of actual images in 6 days I traveled in jotunheimen (August 2011) 90 of the time were black/grey water

[QUOTE = daniii99] where ד"א Spanish.

Maybe learn by text? Belleza in Spanish Mesa rather than express it (Portuguese)

Nice track you have selected yourself:) The portion South of the ardangr-ikolan I am totally unfamiliar with. How about compared to iotnheiman? To brheim- To ardangr-Vida?
