Path properties

Most of the area. The southern part is relatively mild and multiple paddocks more cache on challenge
The north end. Who is Robbie voyeuristic views of Alpine peaks a little disappointment since weather view
Typical Alpine meet only a small number of days out of a total.
The path went in June 2007 and therefore current information to this date.

Accommodation and food
Accommodation is in huts (Refuges) in the deployment of 5-7 hours.
Is only allowed in the cabins (tent) camping areas and regulated in a way.
Hot meals are served in the cabins, you can also buy packets and applications can use the kitchen.
For cooking.

When to go
Hiking season is from May to October with a load of heavy travelers from mid-June to mid-September.
It is recommended to go in early June or late September because there is also a chance to find availability in
And the owners are much more welcoming and less stressed than in high season.
Accommodation in cabins is on a first-come-first-served basis, and in most cases unable to reserve places.
In advance. For this reason, most travellers to depart through first light already trying to come early.
To bikatot and get a seat.
Anyway he's required to tent and in my opinion also the easiest way to sleep in Corsica.

Climate in high season July-August
Comfortable weather with a lot of blue sky, sunny days.
Although it can rain and a good chance of fog. Unexpected snowfall.
The days are generally warm and comfortable nights.

Climate in the margin of the season June and September
Rain likely mainly afternoon hours. Chance to mist and snow storms.
In June still meet in the snow on high points and a huge amount of water is advantage of thawing snow.
At the edge of the season bring warm clothing without compromise including fleece gloves.

Equipment and weight recommended for track
A good backpack and shoes already when walking.
The trail is very rocky and it is important to keep shoes with thick soles and iberam.
A rocky route must also use a walking sticks are good for lowering the loads away.
Tent (Free Standing) from mattress sleeping bag easy and Cape good complement the equipment.
The Basic. In season to stock up on Sun cream and 34 in the dark with sunglasses
String hanging. Water are plentiful throughout the track. The high points are
Very good quality and demanding, but the multiplayer areas requires caution.
Anyway should not carry more than two liters of water per person.
Backpack weight including water and snacks for the road should be up to 12 kg to 14 season on the edge
This season (plus warm clothing and food)

Books and maps
Book: The GR20 route hige level

Maps: two maps 1:100,000 (numbers 73-74) certainly have sufficient planning and
You can purchase a good topo maps scale 1:25000 but price each around 10 euros.

French readers (and those who didn't) established several excellent and the tofu with sterifim
The scale of 25000 each track and information specific to it. The book in bookstores
And most supermarkets in Corsica and costs 15 euros – a great deal considering that it includes
Also the maps which do not tell.

Books and maps can be purchased at the duty free in Nice and Bastia and Ajaccio, clovi 7 days a week.

Prices 2007 for flights, ferries, buses and trains.
Round-trip flight to Nice: -$ 600 price official. You can and should look for cheaper deals.
I for example flew back and forth in operation for $ 270 cardholders ishrkard.
I recommend to contact the salesperson of Israir and find out about special offers.
Travel agency or on the official website of the company always be in range rates
The highest rates.

Ferries: from Nice to Bastia-Calvi or from 30 to 40 euros to Greece.
A ferry from Nice to Ajaccio overnight it requires expensive cruise-cabin approximately 90 euros per person.
Book a ferry from Nice to various destinations in Corsica ferries website where possible.
Dress up party deals in radical amounts of 1-5 euros.

Flights from Nice: various destinations in Corsica is the site of Air France
Code: flights to Ajaccio, code AJA KI CLY to Calvi and Bastia to BIA
Cheap flight prices are in the range 19-38 dollars to Greece but expensive tax so that flight.
Forth back sum of approximately 130-170 dollars. Book your flights from Nice is only
Online travel agency that least amount back on the same flight.
The flights to Corsica are Corsican named the KTM GROUP company works with lights provide.

Buses: no less than six bus companies operating in Corsica and carpool to various destinations
At different rates and at different days of the week.
The main bus stations of toast, Bastia and Ajaccio you can get accurate schedules
And fees of all companies.
The central bus station in the capital Ajaccio is located in Terminal Martime
The heart of the city close to the sea. The line to Porto-Vecchio is active every day and leaves at 8:30 and arrived at noon.
The price of pleasure (easy but long trip on the road winding) 21 EUR.

Train: train from the cities-clovi Bastia-Ajaccio. Travelling from city to city is not
But continuous transfer bus includes midway drive, from one train to another.
Need to be increasingly vigilant. The maximum price for the trip is € 21.
Recommendation: since no air conditioner in trains recommended minimal clothing and boots.
Trains are not the last word in the field if taken mildly.

Price list 2007, rpiogis, and track.
Cheap: the roasted Bastia 30-40 euros per double room and 60-80.
Cheap hotels rooms (via French) extremely small and casual.
Breakfast often included cheap hotels.

Rpiogis: accommodation price of 9.5 euros per room, 4.5 euros per tent adjacent to the cabin.
Food rpiogis-15 euro for a full hot meal that includes three courses. 5 euro for breakfast.
In rpiogis located close to the prices in some euro because of electricity and
The Sun. Of course, the quality of food and the prices accordingly.
Foodstuffs are sold in price a bit expensive.
Example prices rafiog products: beer 3 euros, 2.5 euro voice, 9 euros, chocolate 2 euros.

Restaurants: France was never cheap and pricey at about 40% relative to Earth.
Basic meal that includes a main course, salad and meat cost expected 25-30 euros.
No overall breakfast meat salad, and a main course of pasta, pizza, calzone, will cost approximately 20-25 euros.
It should be noted that the prices do not include drinks and dessert.
Adding beer or local wine is also a supplement 5 euros per person.
In other words, we have to get used to a cheap restaurant meal is a business of at least $ 300.
Those who want to splurge on a full meal including wine and dessert range is over $ 400.

Buying euros per trip.
Ecoles may think it's cheaper to change dollars to euros in France (Corsica part of France).
The answer is negative. Dollar exchange rate in the country in France which is a gate
The worst in the world. For example, for $ 1000 in the country received about 700 euros ($ 4.1 to $)
And that's after that for converting the dollar translated to low gate weight then weight euros in high gate.
It will give you approximately 670 euros in France even though only one is being converted from dollars to euros.
So my husband swapped dollars in the Israel National Trail (INT) or lose money in France.
Undoubtedly the easiest and cheapest is to buy a euro country in NIS.
The shekel is currently a strong currency and need to use it any more. It is recommended to keep the dollars.
An opportunity or a trip to the United States.

Trip pricing

I don't know where economical traveler can I eat and sleep.
The price points for me to track is therefore the upper middle class and everyone will customize.

Without all that hiking Companion (insurance, flights, trains, taxis and buses).
Meals and my average population on the trail was 50 euros per day by walking 12 days ס"כ
Walk. Each all-inclusive trip cost me 1200 euros for specific weeks old in Corsica
(85 euros per day).

Economical traveler can save you a lot of accommodation prices (instead of a hotel and camping tent instead of rafiog)
Food and catering (he instead restaurant and cooking in rafiog instead of buying dinner.
Hama). Anyway I wouldn't lose Murph planning 30 euros per day.

How long does it take for
The track is tough and very difficult in the early days who starts in the North.
Regular gym owners or less that carry 10-14 pounds on your back you want to plan for
By 14 days. Good gym owners carrying 12-14 pounds can plan for
10 days although they work hard some days in order to stay on schedule
Plus don't always arrive early to rafiog. In peak fitness or carrying weight of 6-8 kg
And are in good shape, you can do the whole trail in 8 days. Trying to do less.
(Double rate of two a day, and rpiogis) is a premium-only cruisers veterans enjoy go
14 hours a day in difficult conditions.

I may practice before every bill and reach him in top shape but I went with a friend once
Has reasonable fitness and a little overweight and therefore struggled to finish it in 12 days (11 days).

Meeting Israeli roads South of oizovena. Ziv (left) on his way to Conca and head toasty.

Hi Amnon,

Probably I would do the next year (early June or September).

I want to go from South to North. Do you know if there is a ferry to Conca?

And another thing, how long do you think the entire trip length (getting to the trailhead, walking, the end of the track and back home)?

Thank you

Moses.

The truth is not found in the sites of the companies line up to Porto thanks Vechio.

What about my question? How many days in total (including all flight, arrival and departure) takes a Trek experience (Should've known when I take off maimi:))

There are ferries to Porto-Vecchio, but this is not a daily line which is very cumbersome.
The fastest way to start is to fly south from Nice to Bastia and take the bus.
Of the afternoon in Porto Vecchio. Another option is to go to Ajmer to take
אחרה"צ bus to Porto-Vecchio.
From Porto Vecchio to Conca arrive mostly by taxi that leaves from the bus to Porto-Vecchio only once a day.
At 13:30.

The trail takes between 8-16 days, depending on the weather and your ability.
To and for most people who are in shape or a little less likely to think:

1 day arrival
14 days.
1 day back.

It took 12 days without special efforts and more than five hours a day NET

Amnon, in several places read that the route is 14-15 days (even in paddy Dillon track is divided into 15 sections).
Is it really possible to walk it in 11 days? A couple of hours on average per day-March

Moses.

I prefer to take the sleeping and cooking equipment, and therefore it is likely that my bag weighs 16 pounds and possibly more.
I think I might just go by the book in 15 days and perhaps reunite sections accordingly.
Thank you for your answers, I was glad to find a forum in Hebrew all entirely devoted to longer treks:).

It's not really possible to do the Trek in less than two weeks.
Full equipment on my back it is mandatory that the cabins have little space, so even outside peak periods is not guaranteed there.
Trail food is expensive and not quality varied so also bring cooking system.
The early days of the track are very hard, and some days not going more than 6-7 km in the descriptions of the big track is also very accurate in terms of duration.
The track is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey ... I was going to make the runway in August or September.

I did once long excursions and trips of three days with light weight on my back but I never got slammed. Is this a track too hard when you first experience!

I'd like to get some details who knows about weather (to know how to obtain this period) and how much money goes to day camp assuming that old the whole way.

First step to English sites about the track and this is quite difficult without an itinerary.

I would recommend to go easier path as pilgrims route to Santiago de Compostelle France Centre.

Unable to sleep in tents I believe in only rpiogius GR20.

Wow.
Lots of good luck to you, and we wait for another thread "after" with all the details of the path. Not to mention a presentation (honors).

As I suggested before, at the time of Amir and Ronnie, and it didn't work out we also Forum session to do just that, if people are interested.
