Open for discussion:

Me and a friend are considering to do the northern part of the GR20 in late may, early June (16.5.5.3).

1. is it realistic in terms of m/conditions (in high places)

2. where can I find some cabins and what food should I take?

Officially opening the season at the end of June to GR20 is late September.

The answers you are looking for the two questions are in the following Forum:

Do your homework and reading posts of people who plan, making the route in May and reported the situation and it will be most reliable information because it varies from year to year and whoever's in there now won't be able to help you.

I plan to get around 8-18 October to track sea the North Sea (mare a mare nord).
I realized that you can hike until November.
Does anyone know how good the refuges along this route in October? (Open-staffed?)

Can walking route in October in terms of weather, but need a lot of luck and experience that the average pretty high rainfall in October and there are parts which simply mortal danger in the rain like THE SOLITUDE CIRCUE and others.

About the cabins if hasn't changed anything in terms of policy (I was there 5 years ago in October) so most of the cabins will be manned by the guards, but open (emergency huts in winter) means no heating/gas/hot water/stock option.

If you're confident in terms of navigation capabilities/doing (because there's a lot of mist in the mornings especially then needs to rely on רוג'ומים and Simone) and prefers a challenge with the likely changes (due to rain) without people so this season October to Corsica.
