Hello Forum members
I go for June 13-29 flights Israir to Nice and ferry.
Read the material on the site and I still have a few issues to find out:

Are required to make reservations for the shuttle?
Advantages/disadvantages of North/South start?
Cheap accommodation recommendations in Nice?
Winter equipment in the period up to what level?
Tent three seasons should be enough?
I saw that the name of Sorell was for last year with his wife, if anyone knows how to contact him admit furiously.

Thanks Leo

Sureal username sent him a private message. Personally I would be checking is the good rpiogis will open in mid-June. About weather in appropriate sites.

Cheap accommodation in Nice? Doubt, seek youth hostel.

Winter gear ready for rain, cold winds, snow in terms of crossings.

About camping-serious accommodation limits, it also means tent tent + km + a mat hold additional weight, for those who have not trained hard and ready-warning.

Search-Forum has a lot of information about this road trip logs.

Hi Leo,

Did the GR20 route of (most) in early October in 2009 which is considered low season (mid-June). Luckily Rabbi weren't nearly so rainy days and tents were 3 seasons, but aside from one cabin cabins weren't desperate by the guards and therefore we had to carry food for 16 days what not. (In retrospect, maximum food needed for 4-5 days if it was out of season)
The cabins remain open anyway even with desperate but not be gas/heating/tools etc.
Advise everyone not to go out of season and specifically each year separately because the winter moves and changes all the time.

About the ferry and we pay more to fly from Nice because the dates.
Advantages/disadvantages of Greece-walking to my personal opinion it is better to start from easy to difficult and just built the track most difficult passages are in the South.
Cheap accommodation in Nice-only youth hostels
Winter equipment + tent, as said, depending on the year it is important to catch just before the trip because it varies from year to year.

My original post on the forum topic most updated Corsica gr20 to mind.

Thanks for the reference.
I contacted Sorell.
Checked: open bikatot with everything needed from early June, 11יורו updated costs for accommodation inside the tent-6 euro
The condition of the track is very difficult to find, they only indicate that you can walk from early June.
About fitness I am aware of the issue and I'm training for the track cyclist and I also ran, did Israel trail before and last year the Lycian way, so I don't foresee a problem in the way.
I'm more concerned about the weather, especially winter gear is carrying heavy d.

Although we have discussed, for future generations, I also write a bit.

If you really need to spend the nights in cabins, so of course I need to pre-order. At the beginning of June, there's no way I would allow in cabin subject to availability, excluding ski stations and villages on the way.
If you want privacy, of course, the tent rather

Benefit walking South on the southern part of Thun, which gives time to get into shape, the northern part of far more. Still, in the southern part there are no short-term ups and downs.
An advantage to walk north on snow. The snow thaws faster in the lower slopes of the mountains, which means in the snow and down on rocks (usually). I think this safety issue is weight, we went from North to South.
Israeli winter gear will do, don't forget a raincoat and miles below 0. In total day in weather, temperature examination (even if it rains), there's only snow mountain passes and parking lots are located beneath the snow at night when the temperature, so the equipment must be modified. And of course, sticks, ... I dropped mine in the River on the third day, and I know how to say how much they were missing.
We use the tent three seasons of SALEWA. Relatively heavy and also relatively large Pack. If I do this trail again, I would take exactly the same. Most of the time it's shizzle. I think we need to come up with strong, waterproof tent, winds and precipitation, even at the cost of weight. Of course you can buy NASA tent lightweight thousand shekels that puts also gamma-I'm talking about a tent on $ 800

Nutrition and water, it's something you stop harassing us already the second day Tuesday. Everything, everything is accessible, in terms of tourist huts open and affordable. In early-mid June, there is plenty of water in the mountains, very clean, very delicious. If you want your soul chestnuts in cold at the end of each day, you'll find there's one bungalow that sells equipment for hikers and even clothing in case you stay without clothes or shoes, which really isn't far from amtzaity by the way.

My gear list French would love to get comments,
I have two doubts:
1. do you avoid taking the blowtorch and trust what's in? Saves me a pound, I personally prefer to be totally independent and if it is why is an unscheduled stop that is not near the bikatot (I know I shouldn't) then you can prepare hot drinks and food, how

2. a tent "but heavy d weighs 2.8 kg, can refrain from taking it and rely on the tent rental cabins-
Another option I've seen in a tent called TNF 1 single MICA weighs less than a pound but cost $ 1600, someone familiar with the tent? Can give review?
I did some digging on the net but not really possible to get a clear impression I know the price is really too much, but I don't have time to buy online

Thanks in advance

If you are ordering in rpiogis has nothing to worry about meal tent/gas burner. It is advisable to do so because the track is quite difficult and the easiest weight you track more enjoyable.  If rafiog also spoke spare bag, mattress, Cookware. Don't rent tents in rpiogis.

-Tent lightweight? Not in Israel. Search for TRAPTENT in the garden, 900 grams NET. You can always sell it.

When you go out?

Equipment list-pot can be used גםפינג'ן,

-Take an extra pair of socks

A funkier head band-Israel-one, wash at night, take brass shirt.

Lacking a storm, don't think of poncho.

Tester- Why

No cleansing pills

Add another 1 kg per day food and snacks.

How your fitness Lollapalooza.

According to available reports of SUREAL last year, cabins can be rented a tent for the night (they are regularly near the rafiog ' so can't spend the night wherever you want).

Hi Leo,

The GR20 is a difficult and unexpected weather wise at all.
And the degree of difficulty and therefore I think it is better to be ready for anything (of course you mean emergency) and bear some weight rather than getting stuck, unable to leave. Me personally came to be stuck for the GR20 twice during the track (not me, but it doesn't matter much) if there was no tent and warm clothing were forced to stand back. Ditto for rain gear (I personally prefer above + a water-repellent full + poncho.
Socks-3 pairs, I think that not always dry that day because of fog, rain, lack of Sun.
It's personal gas burner, we were out of season and therefore had no choice but there all season bctot and cooking gas and can be used if sleeping in the cabin.
About the tent, I found a while back 3 seasons single tent in the shape of a tunnel on $ 550 of Spanish society in weight 1.3 kg, quite unlikely although he personally uncomfortable and my looks too small, but I think he's an emergency tent.

Thanks for any replies,

I'm flying so I don't have time to 13.6 to order online, I've got 13 days,
About I practice gym with equipment and cyclists are also teeming with-hope I'm ready at a reasonable level.
In rafiog ' I prefer to avoid because I know myself to be hard for me to sleep with so many people-probably some snoring.
Tent rentals in great only it is not clear how they are available/available
So unfortunately seem to purchase tent only.
Does anyone know how to treat the tent I mentioned?

Thanks Leo

Have fun at 8.5. I hope to get there last month.
I don't know the specific tent, but at least I plan to actually take a minimum of equipment. Think also give up tent and cooking tools, although I also have a tent and easy questions.

Gas burner in my opinion. Not just because you turn the blowtorch that der cabin, but also because some of the huts allow to use only their own reservations.

-We went with your tent more than doubles (3.2 kg) and wonderful experience. There is a possibility for a 10 euros to rent tent cabins, tents, although don't expect quality. Enough to have stormy night (and will be), and I don't feel any problem to carry a tent of 5 kg.

In my opinion it is not necessary:

Toilet paper-each cabin.

Garbage bags-sheets each cabin.

Laundry detergent-also have some huts and SOAP should be enough.

You can also download one Cap 3 hats you intend to take, say, a full Cap.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend any particular storm pants I don't need, although done fine without for five days of storm and Tempest.

Note not to be tempted to sleep in hotels are on the way. We got to VERGIO and very much wanted to sleep in bed and shower in the bathroom. For 80 euros per night we got a hot shower. And this is more or less. The bed was awful, the room for dinner, and asked us about 20 euros per person. The guys were asleep that night in the tent they enjoyed much more.

Lots of luck!
