Hey Amnon
Me and my friend want to do trekking in the Dolomites. Both 30 years old and we have two weeks, give or take. Both affordable and even fitness training in Kickboxing. My question is whether trekking Dolomites possible in mid-October. I know some arpiogis are closed, the question is if it's not too dangerous for storms and extreme cold. There is an option in October to do via prata?
Thank you!

Hello to everyone

My name is Dotan's information just a lot of fun.

I'm planning a trip of 4-5 days according to plan I found in the Forum

Day 1 Lago Di Braies to Biella
2 BIELLA to Fanes
Day 3 Fanes to Lagazuoi
Day 4 to Lagazuoi Nuvolau

Number of questions: I come with a car from Switzerland and need to get it in Switzerland.

Is cheaper and easy to leave the car at the train station in Verona and as explained in the Forum?

Or if the car to reach the trailhead at Lago Di Braies- And pick him up.

Or leave the car in cortina and from there reach the trailhead?

His most overrated option sounds reasonable, but I would like to receive tips

Another question about accommodations on 10.5-14.2 do I need to book in advance or you can thank discounts

The AV1 can do in October because there are plenty of rpiogis that are open all year round.
In terms of precipitation October is month between dry matter and therefore it should not be a problem.
But you have to be prepared for temperatures below freezing at night and be equipped with extra warm clothing.
Via ferrate no problem to do all year long weather or cloudy. But security equipment required

Answer to Dothan
Chose classic track of four days that overlaps with the official story. This spacious design that lets you enjoy the track without sweating excessively and erode the body in long walks every day. Now, you finish the route at Paso geo (a reduction from the Nuvolau rafiog), be with you most comfortable and leave the car in Cortina since the Paso geo leads there directly (approx. 40 minutes). This leaves you the arrival from Cortina to the trailhead by bus and taxi oilabasha.

September 16-17 are Fridays and Saturdays before closing the last rpiogis. This week in rpiogis corruption meals in order to eliminate all the stock before the end of the season. Who wants to eat good and drink wine on the House, trying to reach rpiogis at the end of this week. So I recommend you to book in advance, not to have surprises, even though it's on the edge.

Hey Amnon,

Great info, very well done!

Assuming you approve me time off work to go with the company next week. Your information really reinforced my decision to go that I realized how simple it is to get ready for this last-minute Trek.

My time by domain, flight lands in Verona on Friday morning and return on Thursday after late at night, which means I have exactly 7 days. We used only the northern half of the route (hope it's not a big loss ...).

I have some questions about planning your itinerary (sorry if I'm repeating questions, but on the third page I got tired of reading the whole thread.)

1. should I go upon arrival from Verona to the trailhead and sleep there to start early the next day (is there a rule where to sleep there)?

2. If we over half off (as mentioned we don't have 8 days, but still a little more than 4), is there another point we should get there and get her back to Verona or anyway should cut in half if you don't complete the entire route

3. your description you suggest after four days to sleep there last night and only then morning drive. Any particular reason not to get out of the Trek before Wednesday night and to return to one of the cities?

Many thanks!

Naama

Hi Laila.
This thread has indeed grown to monstrous proportions but feel free to repeat things.
Firstly congratulations on deciding to get back on track. I'm sure you'll enjoy this wonderful time and track
There are several options to begin the path.
A. in Verona on Portugal's train (only on Fridays) arriving to Villabassa at 3 and from there a bus to the trailhead and walk to rafiog byala
To sleep in and take the morning train to Villabassa leaving Verona at 7:48 am
C. sleep in Villabassa and the Lake at Rais or sleep in one of the hotels in Braies (against which he's really Pragser Wildsee Lake)
I see no reason not to start the course on the day of arrival. This is the preferred option for most people.

You have six and a half days are full (first half day should begin the track). In six and a half days you can go without a problem until stolance or palapoura El Paso and motivation to the Faso Duran. All these points are free to leave for the train station in Belluno from returning to Verona

You come on the weekend and it is important that you order the rpiogis to 9 and especially to 10 (m is the busiest day of the week)

I don't know what your fitness and how you want to go every day. Suggest therefore a program that walk and benefit that covers 80% of the course.
9.9 in Biella-rafiog three hours or four hours Sennes rafiog walk
10.9 in rafiog rafiog Fannes Lavarella or three to four hours
11.9 rafiog Scotoni accommodation or five Lagazuoi rafiog hours
12.9 rafiog Averau accommodation or five Nuvolau rafiog hours
13.9 in Passo rafiog Staulanza about five hours walk
Rafiog Vazzoler 14.9 in five hours
Reaching 15.9 Carestiato rafiog after about four hours and then walk for three hours to Agordo and city bus to Belluno.

Now As a large group, let not spouse have no problem not to book ahead at rpiogis during the week 11-14. This gives enormous flexibility, therefore. If you feel that the slower pace of the program, you can shorten the track and finish him in El Paso stolance

Hey
Regarding the accommodation, it's a dilemma, because someone my work said that last year they began their trek in the same period and cut in the middle that they found places to stay (they were a pair). Public cabins open this time?

Most public huts are closed on September 20, on September 18 and a few others until the end of the month.
Use the rpiogis list that you can download in the main post to see who closes and when. Not all rpiogis are available via email and those who have an email doesn't always respond quickly on it (sometimes it takes them 3-4 days). The most common is to call rafiog and physical space. That's what 99% of the available tariffs and rpiogis. I recommend you to call rpiogis. Sometimes be difficult to communicate with the other side because most of them don't speak English, but from experience I tell you bktst patience they finally understand. Incidentally, from Israel to Italy dial 0039 prefix requires that actually the prefix 39 + appears all telephone numbers in the list. 5-6 short calls and organized for your trip. Hey Amnon,

We are 3 friends who want to do the course (or at least part of it) at 6-8 days (we have 9 days, but assume we want some days in the city, like Venice, at the end).

Three relatively young (30) in reasonable shape plus.
We decided fairly spontaneous fly Thursday (still looking fly:))

I wanted to ask:
1. where and how should I fly (Verona, Milan, Turin, Venice is out of the question?)
2. What is the course I would recommend with emphasis on possible short of it a day or two at the end, in an emergency, by a cab etc (date back to Earth very hard from our perspective)?
3. on the network map you would recommend that describes the routes and stops?

Thank you, it seems you do mouth work.

Eran.

Already question 1 didn't cost them the message. First of all read the same and different pages Alpine soda and then, if you remain open questions, I'd love to meet you.

Regardless, if you fly on Thursday to Verona, you meet me:) flight
We are a group of five hikers and we have organized transport from Verona to the trailhead so you can join.

Great, thanks.

I came to your page via Google and Yes I have read the last two pages, the first post very informative.

Try to update your questions:
1. the primary option is Verona, but is there a way to get directly to Venice, Lugano- And if your taste is worth it or Verona interesting enough unto itself?
2. What are the abbreviation for the track if needed? What section would you recommend if I have 6 days only?
3. maps there is plenty for the first link:)

Thank you very much,
Eran.

1. Verona is the main option. You have to train from Lugano. Enter the Italian railways website and enter the starting point and destination Lugano Verona with the correct date and time and price points. For walk in AV1 has reach. Visiting Venice for easier after graduation. Verona town in itself but it is impossible not to visit Venice with before you were there.

2. There are lots of options. Most of the beauty of the trail is on the north side that must not be missed. That means Lake in Rais to geo pesos (between 3-4 days). In the central part there is wonderful footage as well as the section from SITA rafiog di Fiume rafiog plpaoura rafiog way to the Venice and plpaoura to rafiog rafiog koldi way Tessie. Whenever you are crossing a road can retire off the trail. Crossing route occurs almost every day so there is no problem to retire and when short.

In 6 days do you prefer from the trailhead at Lake Rais (Braies) to plpaoura (Palafavera)
