Got back 2 days ago what WHR. Was amazing!
Wanted to say thanks for all the tips and suggestions I received here in the last two months. We printed the major stories here, and use them on a daily basis. Among the important tips that turned out to be successful:

1) removed the tent. redirecting way, in retrospect no need, indeed blessed each pass on this decision.

2) traveling in September is good! We didn't feel the need to buy anywhere, there was no rush at any stage, and the weather was great (except snow days-providing an experience in itself)

3) MOIRY hut – indeed an important decision. A dreamy place.

4) where we were was based on a recommendation and it is the proven (we knew where to order food, and when they eat out.)

As three relatively young (29), who took special care to push for New Zealand, India or South America to walk-we were surprised to discover this amazing Trek within a relatively short flight.

Thanks and happy.

Don't you never the story through our own detailed as that of Greece and co., together with all the excellent way the previous stories, so thorough and precise – and because of the time difference between the brief also reflects the major we met more or less – and because it's our first Grand so we basically rookies and veterans on our insights have already forgotten and settle in one of the highlights, a way to pass Prafleuri. can say "infamous" , Isn't it? On the day of the three crossings (it was August 27, two days after a group of Tilapia).

While crossing the Desert plain below the glacier, from Louvie Prafleuri passage crossing, came north with heavy clouds, and after a brief barrage of hail began to snow, and gradually found itself in a thick cloud/fog The mirrors were magical; Feeling that we are on another planet, the undiscovered country. The world around us was reduced, the topography, and ran our navigation capability dropped almost to zero. In the words of Mr. Reynolds: "... problems may arise on the stretch between Col de Louvie and Prafleuri Col de ..." For example anderstiitmant. Around the three little tbrbrano pools, fought a little bit, we came back to check again what it was the Valley remembered was north of us while you could see something we missed, and check back to follow the red path, one not leaving before we found the next. As a way to transition has ups and downs and Plains, hard to know these terms at least, if you haven't been through it already. And we had a device independent ג'יפיאס that rely on the phone but dumped offline maps and cellular also was, so we couldn't settle on a map, and the map was printed. In short, padiacha.

The decision of geek! – To continue with the check was right after all, and sometime was also DAB cellular reception and immediately realized that we were still under the transition itself, but in the right way. A big relief. Incidentally, the descent from the pass with little son tataaa beginning very steep, then some pretty steep drop then back skills, thrives when the heart sneaking fear that maybe we're not on the trail. Then the cabin, and Daniel waiting us worried outside (Mont Fort hut met the day before but never went this day together; hereafter not parted from him), and the people that came in to us and wanted to hear what happened to atmospheric evening in this special, Babbitt and the gang.

Here are some pictures from that day for your enjoyment

ה"פשלות actually homeless experience" are the most important thing to report it in the Forum.
Equipment, navigational problems, anxieties, difficulty, crisis and anxiety. They noticed the interest of prospective travelers
People pseudo Ray Charles and Miss sometimes places that may be very important for less experienced hikers.
So Boas, we'd love if you desire and expand your reporting.
The pictures are stunning and ice desert really reflect the experience you described.
When you write: "tbrbrano a little bit expensive"? You debate about what to do after I'm ordering you!?

It is possible to finish after 7 days inAROLLA (see map and the message days)

But why not save this trek you have more time and meanwhile make the Park's glaciers and venoaz?

Keep, there are many exit points to trek. Arolla is one and if you start in Chamonix is perhaps more likely in the time you have.

Another option is to start at Le Chable/Verbier (because I think you were already the TMB so maybe if you're short on time, skip the section overlaps). In such a case will probably end in Zinal.

Really you can plan many sections – almost every day ends in town (or passing) and you can find out transportation.

But personally I'd probably drive as suggested by Yuval and selects the Trek can be completed in its entirety in the time at my disposal rather than shorten a longer Trek. Go the WHR and to reach the snow doesn't even see it.  Don't know

Preparations for the annual trek began with the purchase of tickets to July 23, 2014.

Background: 58-60, who can't enjoy an annual trek. The formula of "Trek with a backpack on your back" discovered after visiting Murren in 2007 with daily star trips from a central point. In 2008, went the other half of the WHR from Zermatt to Arolla.  After a great trip last year on AV1 we decided to complete the first part of the route from Chamonix to Arolla.

The plan also includes a second night back to Cabane De Moiry after memories of an unforgettable experience.  There is one dormetri dark dense mattresses on 3 floors with 30 snore, without electricity or running water and toilets are outdoors.  Switching from Col Du Tsate and the Lake was accompanied by the activity of transport helicopters to move construction materials for renovating the Cabane.   Have to go back and enjoy again and view the renovated structure.

The more extreme the Mission 7 days.  We look forward to receiving advice from the seniors about this part of the track, recommendations on places to stay, and to hear from other walkers this season

Read the AV1 forum last year contributed to a perfect trip.

Norman and Renee, start by reading the entire thread includes links to stories about the main message.
There are a lot of recommendations for places to stay. In addition you can also admire the places we chose last summer.
Of course I'd prefer bshmpa to sleep in hotel Alpina Kurhaus instead of dormatori in the cabin, but we were a group.

Hey guys,

I know there are quite a few people who travel with WHR. A few questions:

I think) to begin in early September whether the time is right? From what I gather, there are fewer travellers it's important to me.

1) a lot of people are seen backfield without any problem (not even near REFUGE) If you start them late at night and early morning off. I plan to do the same thing but of course consideration.

2) shower problem-no problem to bathe in basically agamim But I think there will be water poaim. How do you deal with that?

Thank you, Greg.

Hello Greg.
Early September is a good time to WHR is less and stable weather.

There is no problem to make a track with a tent.
You can sleep in a tent and shower cabins. Most hot showers are turned on. To be safe you should coordinate with the cabin.
But to feel fresh air can settle even partially washed (strategic areas) in cold water. You don't have to jump into a cold Lake.

Notice that welcome air in recent years is very unstable and so although September (mid) is considered the end of the season, should be prepared for rain and snow. As long as you prepare yourself and to existing equipment, the time would be good certainly.

It's not a problem, but should be aware that it is against the law and heard of cases/stories that interest (cabins, guest, etc) who saw, reported to supervisors.

Therefore, what we did in most cases is asking when was honey, for example from home to sleep on his owner, Colonel to sleep in his field and has rafiog ' to sleep in the parking lot of the rafiog.

Indeed frozen water and therefore not recommended, more recommended to find trough early in the morning when it is still clean, small streams and (when sleeping away from cabanas) or simply ask the owners to take a shower (sometimes for free, sometimes for a small fee).

My experience from September 2011 (started on Tuesday, finished on September 15) was excellent!

I had two halves of rainy days, some gray days and more time was perfect.

From what I read and I studied during the same period to September is considered relatively stable month. While the rest of the season and getting colder gradually but in total.

Of course mountains you never know, as Elie writes must be prepared for any scenario. But it is true for August.

I went in with a t-shirt, sometimes early in the morning was still cold so I started walking with a long tank top fell very quickly. Really--perfect weather for walking.

And, of course, that the main benefit has been elite: the track wasn't crowded at all.

Just a general comment: personal reasons, thousands of better inclusion at the beginning of the season. Floral and green water and occasional snow. In September the landscape already turning yellow and less beautiful for me. It's not very nice. But a little less.

If you read my blog you're invited: WHR day 1

Good luck!!!
