Next post will be dedicated to details and related information to trek in Nepal three passim.
This is a wonderful Trek left us thrilled admire every day. Highest peaks in the world, different observations to Everest, turquoise glacial lakes, snow-capped mountains, rivers passim, rural, rice fields.

We hiked it 15 days when the original track multiple possibilities for excursions and shortcuts. Every day the walk ends no later than 2 p.m. ... (Bring a good book)

Start ongetting to Nepal:
There are no direct flights from the country. There are several indirect options.
1. direct flight from Israel to Mumbai with El-Al flight to Kathmandu.
2. flight konkshns at the home of a variety of airlines to Delhi. Flight from Delhi to Kathmandu. Most companies in this category were cheap uzbekistan airways, aeroflot, aerosvit.
3. independent travel/air to Amman and then to Kathmandu through the Gulf States (or Delhi with Royal jordanian and a connecting flight to Kathmandu).

The third option is the best economic terms.
It is a world-leading airlines (royal jordanian airways, qatar) and can use the services of nerezine Torres or pliiaist to reach the bottom of the field.
We chose the second option (aeroflot, concussion in Moscow) classification problems. Delhi flew with spicejet. A total of $ 820 per person up to Kathmandu.

* Important *
You can save the flight from Delhi to Kathmandu and make the ground way Delhi Gorakhpur on (12 hours), Gorakhpur to soneli pass (3 hours) and then 10 hours to Kathmandu.
If you select the ה"ישירה option" (3) to Kathmandu, it is necessary to consider the issue of a visa for India.

Visa: a tourist visa in the airport in Kathmandu.
$ 40 per month, $ 100 for three.
You can extend the 15 day visa immigration office downtown for $ 30 (cannot be renewed for a short period, you can extend several times).

Trek district: solu-khumbu, sagarmatha national park of North-Eastern Nepal.

Difficulty: If you look at the profile-daily trek is difficult. Pickled paths, special procurement of food, nor water carrying a tent and miles.
Unexpected parameter is the height which is for and its impact on the.
When you spend a week in the 5000 meters (the height is 5600 +) and thin air throughout the route starts at an altitude of 2800 m, you must draw attention to progress, altitude sickness symptoms, days of acclimatization and doctor's orders.
Rule of thumb above 3000 meters altitude is 500 feet up from the hotel (not total a day, but compared to the last) and 1000 m to do the day of acclimatization which he motto climb high, sleep low.
This is, of course, and it's important we recommend consulting a doctor traveling with the Minister close to home, depending on your situation.
Season recommended:
The fall from the monsoon period (mid-late stpembr) until December (early winter). The advantage of this period is the comfortable weather and excellent visibility.
We went out in mid-September and was a tremendous advantage in terms that the number of people on the trail. When we returned to the locla and exiting, we how the decision to go early in the season was correct.
Spring-March to may. In early March, yet at the end of May and already raining on a daily basis in the evening.
The advantage of this period by what we heard is a bshiaha rash.

Pramit and TIMS-the vast majority of trekking in Nepal demanding such certification. Trekking in the region required cost 3000 rupees and pramit tims for 20 bucks if you don't hire Porter or 10 bucks if you take. You can get at the tourist centre in Kathmandu, or any travel agency in tamel (the district town).
You can also remove pramit town mondzo to arrive on the first day the locla. It is important to emphasize that been searched three or as to whether the certificate is approximately four times during the Trek.

B-day ends in the village has a number of lodges that offer basic accommodation conditions (four walls, a bed and a lamp that works for a few hours and unlimited). In the dining room "large" more rooms available for rent with WC and shower in the room, hot water and etc.
It is important to emphasize that the room rate is very low and that the terms for use of the catering services.

The waterwent with a litre and Milan during aioblim. However, it is important to use proper purification especially low areas where increased presence of cattle.
In themselves will fill water but it is important to take into account those who are collecting rainwater/water filled the tank of a nearby stream and wonder always quality and treat accordingly.

Food-relatively constant menu exists in places. It includes mostly vegetarian food (low Batt, rice, noodles, Momo, chapati, pasta sauces).
But the days of passim, special procurement is not needed because the pass through villages during the day.
I highly recommend to buy chocolate spread, marmalade, biscuits. At some point you get tired of this morning's omelet which is not a bad substitute.

Maps and navigation.
Although a neat signage is not his, but the area's trails very clear and locals were always right and aim where you need (true to the way to pass kongma accompanied us his landlord there the night before at 6 o'clock in the morning until intersection with the path on which we should have and not marked on the map).
The combo there are many maps in various releases.
The map which we called 50 Gokyo and below are excellent passim names. Nepal publishing maps.
It is important to ensure that the three are depicted in passim bought version (seen more on the same name of the publisher who bought without Midwest vendor Ranger).
Other acquired the friendly manual that contains comprehensive information for planning but is completely unnecessary for walking especially weight.
For the avoidance of doubt, you don't need GPS or any other sophisticated.

Excellent Internet map .

Getting to the start point.
Start your Trek from village named ג'ירי (plus 5 days walking) accessed after driving 8-10 hours from Kathmandu.
The thing to check next to lukla is relatively low (up to 3500) when she walks from West to East in two major rivers (the Valley) goes from North to South.
This means that the foot is not just in terms of the profile.
We planned to start there, but published reports about the monsoons, the mud and the accompanying collapse started from lukla.

The village of lukla airport, which won praise Prize (among the most dangerous in the world field), a small airliner (12-16).
The flight takes about half an hour and the Himalayan range for beauty too.
The landing was an experience in itself as we slide down the runway and stopped a few feet in front of the wall.
In return, the flight will be cooler. So it is not.
On the way back we heard about the plane crash Kathmandu-lukla line, not exactly contributed to personal feeling.
But as Israelis already paid good, don't fly!

Costs.
A. food-the cost varies according to the index.
Del baht heights comes to 600 rupees compared to 300 at the beginning of the Trek.
Chapati-170 100 rupees.
A small pot of tea (about 7 cups) about 300 rupees.
Water motkat (Coke, Fanta) 200-500 rupees.
Mineral water-100 rupees per liter.
Chocolate (Snickers, Mars, twist)-75-150 rupees.
In flight lukla-Kathmandu $ 250 round trip.
John Porter – 750 rupees per day.
D. b-100-200 rupees for a double room.
E-gas 300-500 rupees.
And claim 200 hour 350 rupees.
7-1-20-25 rupees.
H. taxi from hatamel to 300 rupees.

If it's early in the season and uncongested accommodation, you can negotiate price and charging your cell phone, camera batteries, food prices it is not customary to haggle.
Us a little embarrassing to negotiate minuscule amounts (taxi service obligation to negotiate, or pay double!).

This is an expensive Trek Nepalese scale. The average daily cost for traveling position on $ 20 a day and included three meals and lodging.
Not hired Porter (750 per day), bought motkat and drinking chocolates (brought from Kathmandu).

Route description.
Day 1-arrival flight locla and hitting the road.
The walk to mondzo (where you can get unless you pramit in Kathmandu) powerful side (koshi dubh). The walk is very nice, calm and easygoing. Around Green, water flow from all sides.
The rain started pouring when we with a cup of hot chocolate at one of the lodges in the village.
Maximum height – 2860 lukla

Day 2-day career short in total through the forest towards namche bazaar. This is the largest village in the area where you can equip and organize logistics for any purpose.
It has many restaurants, accommodations at a variety of levels, bakeries, shops, Bank, ATM, supermarket equipment, telephone and Internet.
Maximum height-3440 namche bazaar

Day 3: we used around the northern villages to khumjung and khunde namch circular route (East to West).
Maximum height-3841 khunde. In namch.

Day 4-day walk (up and down 770 380), which passes through scenic villages in leisurely and mesmerizing. At the end of the day we don't deboche (where there) before being given a glimpse of the imposing monastery at thyangboche.
Maximum height-3867 thyangboche

Day 5-walk to dingboche, all through the eyes to ama dablam. Impressive mountain has two peaks (West at a height of approximately 5500 East, 6850).
For those interested, you can do a day trip to the Base camp from which you depart to climb toward the top (some kmphim). This is not difficult hike up to 4580.

Maximum height-4410 dingboche.

Day 6: hiking to the village צ'וקונג facing East. Where we put the shells. Two-thirds of the crew went to sleep, and the remaining third (MOI) climbed to chukhung RI (5550).
Despite the clouds, this is a magnificent sight in 360 degrees.
(Cho oyu (8200), makalu (8480), pumo ri (7165), bruntse (7160 in short, boring.

Maximum height-5550, 4730 accommodation (צ'וקונג).

Day 7: the acclimatization. We went to the camp would (5085) of island peak (a small hill at a height of 6190.)
Away we went back through two huge Lakes, each in his own way. More East Lake mud and ice (imja tsho), in contrast to Blue Lagoon (ambulapcha tsho).
Ten minutes of Sun made us even bathe in the Lagoon (an act not sure I'd back him in retrospect.)

Maximum height island peak base camp-5085

Day 8-day long past the kongma la. In the morning we go West towards bibre off for supposed to take us North to La Paz.
Owner, instructor, accompanied us for their coming directly from Chi towards bandwidth and connected in some way to the great North trail from bibre (200 200 increased reduction and saving). This is a bill not marked on the map, but relatively easy orientation and should in my opinion.
The pass is long but rewarding. Among the attempts to get some air, turn back and not believed. Time after time.
You can't describe this intensity. Lagoons, villages, mountains, glaciers, snow monster.
After a long line begins no decline towards oboch that requires crossing a glacier (going on below ice) that shoot several small glacial lakes.
Every few minutes sound like landslides of rocks so check carefully where the foot. That night we went to village 4910 height oboch.

Maximum height-5535 kongma la

Day 9-light walk to gorak shep. Moving way beyond (lobuche pass). Don't be alarmed, you don't feel it.
A gork Shep we and we walked towards the everst base camp.
To be fair, nothing exciting. (Beyond the crazy headache I had the other day, I stopped at the sign of the base camp itself and got back turned).

Maximum height-everest base camp 5364

Day 10-us to kala patthar at sunrise and watched Everest. Not hard. From there we went back to lovoch, ate breakfast and continued toward dzongla.
The Valley extends for amazing ass and is dotted with turquoise Lake (a competitor to gokyo Lake to meet two days later)

Maximum height-everywhere I see another height in kala patthar friendly cleared at 5623.

Day 11-one of the most remarkable days Trek. The climb to cho la not difficult, not long (3-4 hours), crossing the glacier and snow section is necessary in taking precautions.
I searched, but I have no words that can describe the appearance of snow on himself and on ice.
The descent to the village of broadband very-Simpatico dragnag degrades boulders Shehata us very much.

Maximum height-cho pass 5360

Day 12-half a day. Overslept, walked slowly and ended two hours later to gokyo. The famous village.
Everything is missing you can accomplish here – small grocery mafia (don't expect branch of Rami levy), a variety of accommodation, (as we were it didn't work).
If you have time, you might want to spend three days in the village and go on day trips to the Northern Lakes and gokyo ri to degree.

Maximum height-4790, gokyo

Day 13-feeling some אס"ק overslept and climbed into the mountains pass renjo (is the third and final line).
A spectacular viewpoint (Everest, akalo), very toiirth and we were practically alone.
The decline of the band was very comfortable and receives pen. Since we arrived early for the intended overnight village (lungdhen) continued to sit 2-3 marulung the lodge closed (we are told are opened later in the season).
In the absence of other options because there is no height problem, continued to thame village there.

Maximum height-5350

Day 14-a short and easy walk towards "the capital of namche bazaar Valley". On the menu, and peaks, raging river valley has no end.
We arrived early, and tpnkano a free atmosphere in the village prior to the opening of the season (the amount of goods was not ashamed of his happiness before Rosh Hashanah).

15. go 2 + 1 day South to lukla. As far as we're concerned it was almost completely new landscape as seen with the euro our weather (unlike going ...).

This is over and done. Although not long, but everything.
On this trek found there was strength in any area since I traveled.
Not, not in the Mont Blanc and the beautiful country.
This travel feeling at Wadi situated, surrounded by the peaks of the 8000 and Furthermore, lakes, glaciers, gushing rivers, the landscape, the welcoming people, comfort and ease of exit to trek, trekking range, endless valleys.
There must be something in Nepal. Hope you will be back.

Some tips (I must remember and added later):
A. obligation to go with sunglasses. Snowy areas bright to low vision.

In most people who go to Everest area doing a course back to BC.
I think this is an outrage!! The best sections are in the East and the West. The kongama, the Chief-la, צ'וקונג and meringue, gokyo.
I hope whoever reads this post looks at the map again and consider. Pleasure guaranteed!

C. unequivocally Porter is not needed. It is possible to gather the bags of 6-7 kg and less if just trying (nothing to carry out a warm clothes).

D we may want to explore with you in claiming a lack of blankets in.
We discussed this and finally took one of our bag.
Since the beginning of the season and we were almost alone in a room, not just opened the bag close to half kg that carried.
According to the owners of the lodge has a blanket for each client, even in high season.

5. plan your subject and expect surprises and changes.
We plan exactly by the book "and still experienced a few days isn't easy (...)

F. duty, duty, duty-פק"ל coffee Yes it should, considering buying ... And yet, hit amends three times a day.

Although not professionally, but some pictures (not all photographs were taken by but by partner for walking ... with permission). Enjoy!

Amazing photos and descriptions and good!
I'm totally keeps me a link to the page. Good tips here!
The following year, with Bender, I am there.

(I know it's a long way off but if someone plans take me and my friend would love to so feel free to contact me).

Incidentally, used the island for what measures to fight the disease (except days of acclimatization)? For example, excessive drinking of water using ormox pills and also advise eating anything.

I really want to go back there next year. When we finished the Trek I got sick about a week and it prevented us from another long trek.

The candidate is Kanchanaburi area.

To business.
The ormox chandelier in order to stimulate red blood cell turnover (prescription).
As soon as I stopped taking after 7-8 days I was already supposed to be accustomed to the altitude, attacked me occasionally headaches. My friend however, feel great.
Very individual coping, I recommend anyway to obtain beforehand (can buy also in Kathmandu and namch diamox, but considering the apothecary there 11 ... and the shop look like Carmel market holiday day ... ... ...)

About the matter because it's a very popular argument. I don't know if it's psychological or proven.
Anyway, I ate a lot.

High days-gave dark urine and no matter how much water I pushed. The doctor explained that the body performs an unusual effort to cope with the changes in the sparsely populated and thus need more fluids. The we made sure to drink at least a gallon a day.

Incidentally, if you're not particularly amateur culture and religion-the days are available only for three days and another around Pokhara or Kathmandu (if ...).
All day trip will shut after the sights and landscapes experience in Trek.
Chnel about temples (you can see in, and enough that two towns after an hour or two).

I hope to have you guys on an airplane in September October 2013:)41206.9295833333 shaharellert

Interesting ... Altitude sickness is the thing that scares me about the whole thing (I'm sure more will be conferring with reindeer before).

However, we are sure (that is, as long as it's up to us) flying. Planning is about two months from 12 September until mid-November this way. Haven't planned but slammed three passim and Kanchanaburi are certainly two things that are a top priority.
We come from London will be there before so that we meet on a flight but would be awesome to see someone in the middle of Kathmandu threatening Forum

Hello friends!
I came in the morning from Nepal.
Slammed around Mt. Everest three weeks (locla start and finish). Not 3 but bands visited the Khumbu, Imja, Gokyo-(the only ones band dawn mentions that did was Cho La and walked him West in the direction of more difficult). "Did the peaks in Gokyo, Kala Pattar and Chhukhung" plugged "including walking in the valleys and loved them so much!!!
I left plenty of time for side trips (e.g. to Thame from Namche forth day trip; observation Ridge climbing Mt. Everest over Machema etc.) and adaptation to height (I had pretty bad too, I needed a ormox, I feel the height over 3600 in Namche in value following the first attempt I made you'd be hard-pressed to adjust and came prepared with patience and time and it worked great--under a doctor's qualification guidelines Once I started taking the pill stopped until after I came back to the same height it started taking the pills).

Still not read the post, only I've skimmed. But as a result. I couldn't help but to respond:
Dawn-amazing and thank you! (To share).
As shatheoshsh (...) add another.

In addition to Everest I went 4 days also in Annapurna range ("Poon Hill").
Was different and good, but nowhere near Mt. Everest (for my taste).

Also I'm a little sick the Everest Trek. But I can summarize and say:
Breathtaking! -once-in-a-lifetime experience. Highly recommended, recommended, recommended , no matter if you do x or y variation or z all Bill and provide name and big time!

Some of my photos (for a taste. Dawn, hope it's okay that I "have" latched onto the post!):

And amber is thoughtful, do you think there's a chance that I could work on my thesis after these images-route planner instead of working!

And seriously-amazing photos and I'm really glad to hear about the track, especially because I planned it (or something similar) in 2007 on the way back from New Zealand after the LANGTANG (without too much prior knowledge) but it was really the beginning of the monsoon and it rained almost every day so I gave ... Well, maybe next year-really

It's not that I wasn't before have headsets and webcams. Walked around Annapurna in 1986 and the langtang and goiscond.
But didn't make the cut of Everest.
The problem is only of time and desire. It is impossible to travel to Nepal.
It's not like heading to Europe for shortest disrupts your life.

People who take the three sections (angtang, Everest and Annapurna range)-there is no comparison.

Right concerning the duration of the trip.

Amber,

Devoured all 13 of these posts eagerly-a real pleasure.
Experiential reporting well-written, with beautiful photos, delicious and really giving my ramblings bacterium.

I sympathise with the very things you wrote like thoughts on them a few moments where we have the right to understand how lucky we are and be grateful for the here and now.
Or for example, unexpected places the "ש"עושים – mainly because the human dimension.

Thank you!
