On 5 October 2008 we have 3 days to last and got ashore Taba. The path home, 12-13 years old and I, totaling 41 days (not consecutively).

The trip began with Pesach, when planned to end in January 2008, but the girl's injury (not for swimming, but because the training run-dry, etc.) made to break nine months. The rate of injury also affected outside the birth of another daughter, a trip of more than a month in Australia, Swimming Championship in Israel and of course the weather.

The trip is done in pulses of several days (5 to 8) and individual/couples days during weekends in summer 2007.

All interested parties with questions or information about how planning way going with relatively little girl and more. During the next few days I will try to write some notes and tips, including the days of the trip in detail.

Well done!!!

And two 12-year-old started the path at the end of August in order to do, after two weeks of walking far Carmel (near Ma). Where we stopped for several reasons which I list below (the cluster key valued yankele), we leave for a week/10 days on Tuesday. In the hope of reaching South as possible to Arad and the desert gets three to four sections. Between Hanukkah holiday for Passover.

I'd love to hear about your experiences and most importantly is the logistical planning. This is the main problem to be traveling parent with children.

According to a program that walk you did think I went crazy rhythm (by my standards).

The second day went from geological to Alma bridge? Wow! Almost 30 km to the second day of a trip that a lot of young army even after

The 7 day airdenit to Gazit junction in one day with the girl? Well done! I went with my son in the opposite direction and today was very difficult for us, beyond the hot weather that prevailed even 28 km away and another on the rise (up the infamous questions).

On day 12 the road to Ofer to Caesarea national garden is more than 30 km.

I planned our trip to 51 today about an average of 20 miles per day and the first two weeks just too f was not easy.

Would love to hear from you how can terms organised without sleep pod.

The information is important to me to continue the journey, we prepare to leave for at least three months trip we went to set foot in the nature protection society, read valuable material in the Forum, we asked, we researched, bought equipment (shoes, walking sticks, clothing, socks, backpacks, lockers), met with parents who walk the path with their children (and light coral, UDI and Tamar Milo), went for walks and hiking ... Yet two weeks later decided to continue the pleasant weather and sections.

I'd love to be in touch with you, we try to promote the Israel trail among families with children, just like you did and the way I travel. The trip with children requires different preparation and during the trip there are other needs.

One of our main goals before leaving was to benefit and Mark V on. Should be attentive to ourselves and to our body, we no longer young but after army must be much more responsive to a child than listen to him in life at home. Beyond education, values, love of country, and goals we have the child must understand that he makes the trip for himself and to please me or not to disappoint me. They understand that after two days of sightseeing/day.

After returning to school, the initial response to the questions was: "it was very hard." Today after 3 weeks of break is just begging to get back to even though I told him I'm out alone just to see his reaction. He talks about the places we were and look at our photos and laugh at the us had made the request of the class lecture on Josh, explained on the trail route, places and interests, the projected clip that classmate, and today we can say that another 34 children in grades 6 hearing for the first time on the trail, he controls the topography, map reading, navigation, and some history of Israel At least the northern part of the country, it's very strengthened and spur him on, he embarks on a path for himself.

When IHE on the trip he says was an amazing experience and is just counting the days to get back to, if Daddy agrees to join him, he still had to convince me that he really want to go, he sits on the Internet and get information about the sites that you get and everything without asking what I bad father??? (Of course we go together!)

Some extensions and clarifications:

Most important is to understand the background. NetA is a girl with a very high pain threshold at age 3 she made her own half of the Gilboa Parade (along the entire route 11 km). From the age of 10 is an athlete-swimming, it's a very demanding profession and have 43 years old and fit most Gili (runs twice a week, but no more) in hardest scenes, such as cockscomb, she didn't cry and repent for a moment when I was asking her if she wanted to continue until the end, wouldhave look.

The idea was born when we started thinking about a bat mitzvah gift for a child. Said overseas or party NetA (ours was obviously what you wish). We asked her to rate and rank it so: Galapagos Islands, Israel, Madagascar. Galapagos disqualified because of problems keeping her little sister and left Israel trail.

Was planning to take a trip in bat mitzvah and ended up 13th birthday in a family vacation in Eilat and scuba diving.

We did one trip preparation, which wanted to see that she could not break – we went from Tel Afek hayarkon Park, when I pressed her head in time to see what she's going rate.

Weights – I tried not to burden her too. Mostly because I wanted her to have fun and not just suffer. It is worthwhile, although I have created a larger load. In our days in the field carried 16 to 20 kg and is no more than 10, and half of it.

Food-vegetarian athlete, planted and so originally various energy and Granola bars are no strangers to her. In addition, she is very picky with food, so that this topic was not a problem. We also have canned food (corn, hummus, tuna), liquid (racha) chickpeas, nuts and dried fruit.

Water – of good physical fitness, is small and consumes a lot of water. I saw that on the last tour – she's not drinking more than three liters a day, despite the heat.

Accommodation – we tried to sleep in places arranged where possible. It's a nicer, showers, sleeping in bed. We develop-tkooas, and the track from isfiya to fertile reserve did with the shuttle home – that saved us carrying equipment, and the feeling was better. Of course, this required deployment and planning – how to get to where we left the car, and of course have a lot of help from friends and family. At nights to sleep (one nights) taken in addition to sleeping bags tent. Although extra weight, but more pleasant.

On Sukkot we had eight last days. To avoid doing them four consecutive, kitano, and four other rest day. The day of rest in bed and breakfast in mitzpe Ramon, when the family arrived. The rest used to set up the water, which helped us a lot.

Walk in the field – we made sure for fifteen minutes and three quarters of an hour. The we made sure to do a long lunch a little more than 30 minutes to an hour. NetA not climbing difficult anywhere, except once in river oedipoda, where I had to draw it. She had a little more difficult than steep. The situation was that I run biridot and increases the Devourer for (just beast). Most of the rate stood at 2.5 to 3 miles per hour (including a break). In the summer on the beach were a couple of days we went about 30 miles, without breaking a sweat.

What didn't get it NetA in navigation and map reading. I saw it not interest her and gave up. In some places we've brought geographic or historical material and called on breaks. In short – we both had a good time. It wasn't hard, and planning problems trivial.

Organizing:

Bought the book of Bill. Not something (a lot of inaccuracies, out-of-date in some route changes) but a good base to start with. Otherwise we've interrupted him, but used him all along. We used the crowd in the Forum. Used in, although it yagil there those inaccuracies or invert when Greece (l-r) overall we had great help in sections that were at the time and I was the project not completed.

Topographic maps-necessary to Barbour that descend from the path, but if there is no number and off trail then not very needy. Most of the time I had maps, topographic or other soldiers rarely shtsmati. Even shtaiti and did that happen a few times, I made a judgment and I went back or just tracked the path again. The check for and usually can be trusted. Hope I solved the problem of crossing the highway in the area, ahuzam

We went with sneakers for hard surface. New balance 806 me and ASICs. Sabatini had survived all the path.

Don't use chopsticks. Just a sultry and very helpful. One more thing to carry.

Ndefot sweat shirts with long sleeves. Bad light and airy, comfortable.

Trousers ever, except at the beach.

Woollen socks. Tights to NetA.

I tried to go with the two-liter bottles outside and one and a half liter bottles. NAD water-the last trip we used nad 5 liters. Not excited. You never know how much remains and it is difficult to estimate how much you drank. Because no right to drink a half liter at most each time, it's hard to control the quantities of nad.

We tried to buy food and drink everywhere. Also built for it. For example, or prevent the Lake Elsinore. Since I hang out a lot in the country I know where and in what hours, and therefore easier to plan.

Who goes with his disruptions recommend to use atmanot more equipment, such as equipment that is if you don't sleep that night out (provided there is access to the collection). Examples: I left the tent, sleeping bags and mattresses out of launching before climbing. I picked up two days later. I left the tent near Black Canyon. I picked him up two days later. I left the tent and mattress and base shizafon gave me the same after a week. I left all my case (case left of netta with water and some food) in the page and picked at the end of the day.

Well done!! Initiative and originality are tips for success

I live in the North so that the breaking strength of the first two almost every day we arrived in the evening and strike down the road at least until Arad am I supposed to sleep every night with family/friends. The main problem is.

However Adams walking with Odie in his converted to three years ago took a loan of $ 25000 from the Bank and bought a GMC Safari, lowers the rear seats izronim Award and all the necessary equipment for the trip including swap clothes for winter to rainy days. So every day he walked with a 25 liter backpack with water and food for the day, a camera, a very basic first aid. Each evening came back to the car by the ons, rides, shuttle, taxi. And when he returned the car had gone to trail or angelic hostel and decided so there's space inside the vehicle. In the desert, he found people around that he was staying with them and they sent them to the beginning of the track and make sure to pick them up or something to bring their vehicle. As I wrote at the beginning of words, have a lot of resourcefulness, initiative and originality to travel with kids and have fun along the way.

At the end of the journey, the car sold in Audi 2000 NIS less than the price he bought and closed the loan. While not for everybody, to get a loan to start a car, buy and sell to make insurance. In my opinion, just a great idea.

Do you save yourself the expense list you had? I'd love to have some idea how you financially promenade down the path.

Not an expense list but I can evaluate.

B-4 Zimmer (mitzpe Ramon, Sapphire twice, the hotel at Gazit) 350 per night. I left a few shekels for Angel blade in there. Meiron field one night includes dinner (not remember the amount), plus four nights that financed Hemi (again estimates of 350 NIS for both)-two nights beginning in the North and two on day of rest we took in mitzpe Ramon.

It is important to note that in the Sapphire chshsiimano-33 there in. The day we went to the Russian Compound South of the evening before we went to bed and Sapphire started the course.

One night we slept in the car to start early-Zada 5, nice place.

Travel-taxi (30 NIS) and two bus West (Eilat to avoid and prevent the Smith) total 70 NIS.

This food has been really neglected. You don't have to go to a restaurant (though some investors, that's part of the fun of the child). Also, popsicles and cold drinks everywhere (that's part of the fun, too).

Admission to paid sites anywhere. Timna just went and got a Tel Dan membership card.

Gas is very important, but for me it is leasing.

Not going to mind other things.

A few additional words about the equipment

Minimal.

Underwear and socks every day (a must!). Spare shirt and trousers for me NetA took per day.

First aid kit.

Weapons in some places, especially the feeling.

The second and third assistance as needed. I took some climbing ropes and cuffs (in retrospect not requiring them).

Pages of photos of Bill (to not carry it all, just it could break your back) and here. In some places a little material.

Speaking of the Passport idea for:

Of course, make an album with pictures of the trail and stories or special experiences that happened to us while walking.

The images filmed so that each day begins with an image of the NetA in the direction. So I could separate the pictures and know what was taken.

At the end of sitting and arrange everything so easy to get a neat story album.

Therefore, I personally don't need any passport.
