Hello everyone,
I plan to fly to New Zealand in early December for a 2-3 months and then come to the u.s. in late March/early April in favor of a port to PCT in mid-April (six weeks gone-– or I'm going to Australia or the u.s. earlier).

The New Zealand trip is more "relaxed"-car, short treks – and requires the same level of equipment (quantity and quality) as PCT, so I prefer to buy in the country or abroad, just what it takes for New Zealand, and complete equipment to PCT in the u.s. (more, cheaper).
On the other hand, I do buy now better match also on track.

About prices: I don't have enough money to spend it on things that are cheap

And now the questions: (begin in the dining room "large" stuff, things and reach completion below)

Bag – I have 45 's case, given the nature of the trip on credit points at I believe he will do me, than to buy the us PCT.

I was thinking that k-miles relatively easy plus, do we recommend or rather buy a k that corresponds to 7? Anyway, I'd love to hear your recommendations on specific models

Tent – don't know if necessary in credit points at, some people I spoke with told me that wasn't even needed. There are 3 options – 1. Buy (the book of) good tent via (tarptent). 2. don't take the tent and wait with Lara Kenya 2.1. To take a simple tent to credit points at sometimes odd, obviously, I need it (I have no problem taking friends should not buy) and in the USA.
While I was thinking about writing an option 2.1 and think this is the preferred option, how?

Mattress – think prolite 3 buy therm-a-rest is recommended here.

Cooking – I've been thinking about this set of chalia trangia plus I prepared cans (try to upload photos)

I'd love to hear (read) what you have to say, tips, insights, comments, stuff I forgot everything that comes to mind
Thanks in advance for your help.

And a blessing.
Case, I believe that it would have to acquire more suited to the u.s. (which have model?)
The k-I definitely recommend seven (plus liner), I used the kilt (ultra) of golite, except for two/three nights (where I slept without tent) was hot enough.
-Used on if loose tarptent again next year I would take wild oasis 6 plane design.
15. be aware that the desert this mattress won't last because of all the thorns and sharp objects, I've used on z-rest, (I also have no patience to drain the mattress every time)
Cooking-pot of 0.8 l some too small, need at least a quart to prepare meals Lipton (and definitely not satisfying)

Good luck.

Hello again,
About mattress-purpose that I can see is a little easier and cheaper prolite3 the question is what is comfortable, and if there are problems with the durability of the prolite3 (flats)

I realized. make bag requires special handling (problems with dampness etc) is that correct?

Thank you

That is the purpose, the mattress is comfortable, but I get along great with him all along (he has a tendency to fall after a certain time, were travellers who bought a new mattress once every two months or so).
The highly durable prolite but is not immune to many travelers punctures carried with them a small repair kit and got along with him great.

You make not really requires treatment kg special compared to synthetic (except laundry), except in cases you will find that tour your bag is covered with a layer of water/hatavata Tal about overnight, just put him in a backpack as is and remove it later when the Sun gets stronger.
I ran just once all day I have not even used a split and then posting the bag inside the tent for two hours before bedtime and he managed to dry.
In addition to weight ratio enable bag have good heating much more synthetic bag (not to mention feeling).

I proliit for as long as I've had, where I laid and cleaned it and no problems. About the dampness on the bag-it only happens if you sleep without a tent and moisture dew or theoretically come in sealed tent then moisture ventilation you blowing in the tthava tent on the bag, I personally never encountered this phenomenon and I kind of doubt it happens inside the tent impermeable.

Enable better than synthetic. The treatment is not speedily bag in the closet when unused, not to get into messy or dirty clothes and shoes when I couldn't bathe never walked, passing on the exposed parts with a damp towel to wipe the dust and the sweat that was enough. Of course it is important to protect it from rain, wrap it in a plastic bag inside the backpack even.

Condensation on the walls of the tent very phenomenon (very) common on the pct, since most of the tents can be seen on the runway is built based on one sheet.
The recommended treatment for each km/synthetic by the reverse I highly recommend (following iklico) on liner.
About proliit VS z-Hurst, each with advantages and disadvantages.

How about the Gizmo to PCT-

GPS means you can send distress signals-3 an issue, OK. You can also go online and see your location, so it's good to share with friends and relatives in your progress, especially mothers and care. Weighs 200 grams. Anyone have any experience/heard about it?

About camp/ל'נעלי city, I recommend this flops, the easiest option, although I personally left the pchfii at Crater Lake in Oregon (actually I forgot them) and get along without them.
I didn't take a jacket before High Sierra marmot windshirt, settle in, my coat I found useful especially as he also means warm-up rain just went. (However when you go with a coat of sweat from getting wet).
About cooking system I started with one and at some point simply abandoned her, kept cold with dry/food, many
More comfortable in my opinion (especially in Washington, where many visitors
Had to sit in the rain and because when I sat in my tent and ate.
Dry ramen with peanut-delight), but I'm pretty extreme.

Things to add-warm vest, gloves and good wool hat

I saw some people who went with spot, this is one of the most forgotten items on track to deliver the letter should put the device in one place for a long time, everyone hated him, but it's definitely useful to reassure family and friends. Asaf a.39769.0604398148

Seen in the mode of on-line monitoring (costs more money), it broadcast only once in 10 minutes. Enough to follow the man, not enough to pick up the Bill.
I stick my blogger. Just need to sit down and analyze the data that I have.
