Hello everyone,
Members of the bar mitzvah year and decided to explore both the northern portion of the trail.
The idea to get out of avnies and go south until over a week.
The intention to make the trip during the Passover holiday.
Here we come to tax questions:
1) anyone have any advice/comments? Especially about issues that might occur with age?
2) if said referring to carry everything you need on your back and stay on the ground, parking, etc. There is a list of allowed/worthwhile for accommodation? Tips are welcome here too.
Thanks and Hello,
Yoav

As a rule-needs of 13 for they as mature, i.e. weight, food and water, a 13-year-old boy can't carry everything on your back which means you carry. Suggest you get a quiet hinterland, logistics, equipment, bouncing a pleasure trip and trip the child remembers you until you reach a ripe old age, and he should be the one that has to get you home.

Consideration about carrying the equipment by children standing with us in the same criterion – 25% of body weight.

My little (8.5 at the time) weighed 24 pounds and was carrying 6 kg.

In the backpack had a km (700 g), mattress, clothes, food and water, some of the weight was transferred to larger increases.

We started drinking water from the small backpack, so her backpack relatively quickly lost weight.

The rate must be adjusted.

Should make bigger cuts frequently, about every 30 minutes (at least initially).

You should work with your child on weekends to travel home. So once you start the trip on the trail it wouldn't be the first time walking distance (with equipment).

You must adjust the backpack and of course shoes.

If you do not have in principle about the route (North-South) set all daily route according to difficulty at the same track (provided you have someone between successive tones to the trailhead and ends), so we went in Jerusalem for instance, Tron, Shaar Hagai, Shaar Hagai,//bar Giora.

An important issue for a child: he'd like to friends his age. Try to arrange a good friend. Yankale17 39887.0390277778

Thanks a lot for all answers,
A lot of important material and expands knowledge.
One topic that I can't get a clear enough picture about it.
I'd like to avoid capzzot, hitchhiking and using transport in General, whenever possible.
Should the path (North of) parking (with charge) first, Angels, cheap hostels, within walking distance of the trail in second priority
Anyway, don't want to sleep in a space where there are no others.
Thanks again for the responses so far

It is forbidden to stay overnight in a nature reserve. For you outside rgada sanctuary can stay.

I suggest you stay with a portable Angel. They are great people, and some are just a pleasure to meet them. A complete list and updated a few days you will find here.

Don't be afraid to sleep outside. My daughter slept with more than 10 nights in double tent in the North and South. Aside from a stressful night (nothing too it) near jam, had no problems and everything passed quietly.

Hi Jason!

I went with my 12-year-old three weeks and until the beach area in mikhmoret.

Clip from our journey.

The intention was to go to the end in a row but unfortunately, I was glad we didn't finish. During the journey we met quite by accident (Kismet) with parent and child who last week the North so we went out a few days together and was really nice and refreshing, especially for children. During this week I received a job offer (it was hard to say no) from a parent who is also Vice President of a large company and so I found myself invited for interviews and tests and absorption Committee. And Yes, I work in a company and thus ends the journey for the time being and I was at school (semester. The school continued, probably next year).

We continue to walk the path based on two tours and the South to look for two weeks to do in sequence in the not-too-distant future.

Happy to help and advise and perhaps also join daily.

Good luck

Yossi
