Hello

First – along with many incredible planning Forum, thanks.

Second-I would love help in calculating the estimated cost of food along the trail. We are six people, but not especially fussy eating kosher (vegetarian.) The priority is obviously to cheap food.

Thanks in advance, James.

50 days (but not awful a lot for calculated) multiplied by about 50 per day. There will be days and days more cheaper. Assuming you cook and give up restaurants on the way. Including a popsicle juice, snack, some energy bars. Water from the taps. If you're more then 75 out money freely. If you want to add some more beer. Mark 39991.9405324074

Thank you

I assume you mean 50 per group. (If you mean the human group size lowers the cost?)

In terms of what cooking recommendations Besides rice, quinoa and legumes?

Prepared meals of Knorr and Juan. Powdered mashed potatoes to thicken.
Tuna also adds.

$ 1000 for it means about 20 per day. It seems to me unlikely. Unless you live.

Mark, 20 shekels is possible but should be very economical:
1. do not buy crap.
2. only raw food: tahini, rice, powdered milk and so on.

In this state dinner from cooked rice with ketchup and seasoning ditch Chump, and bread lunch a can of tuna costs average Solomon 6, and so on. I knew people who went for that. Not a lot of fun especially for my taste, but I can handle it.

Cost me 200 food and weight 700 more on landfills. And ate.
Disagree with a cheap means food.
I don't see that quality in eating snacks and things like that. It considers not bonuses but more

Tuna-5 a day

Grind the kind that comes in a squeeze bottle, you don't have to add water-12 weeks = weight per day.

Couscous, rice flakes, about 6 for three days = 2 per day

5 flat bread for three days to 1.5 days.

Far on average $ 9 (I know the numbers) for equal base 450, 500 weight even if you really want

Another 150 shekels:

Dulce de leche, oats ( even Fox), dried fruit

Wafers, cookies once in a while I have no idea.

About 700 weight far.

And occasionally, e.g. between Arad to mitzpe Ramon where ... How would I want to buy some popsicles in SDE Boker, three days of dreamed of Artic Friday but there is only the group members

In short, this $ 1000, or contrary to the adage: those who only eat food less!

(Incidentally, I lost 10 pounds for)

Sounds like you eat almost five pithotl 3 days

How many meals you eat per day?

There's a popsicle at the gas station at the entrance to SDE Boker.

Lost 10 kg-explains how you 700. It's not cheap and Economics It's just not right and healthy.

This required massive effort campaign. It's not healthy to drop 10 pounds and still continue with such efforts.

Invest a little more benefit from every corner with food to last week. The mission is to have fun and lose weight.

I say again,
I spent 700 weight and ate. No matter how much you eat. Long route down. You can't eat the amount of calories that you checked out a day. And it's long.
No need to spend money on expensive food or rubbish to eat well.

It seems a bit surreal to me arguing about 100-200 here or there.
Pay $ 1,000 budget, $ 1,500, even enjoy, eat what you love, fresh products and quality brands. Do not lose weight lose weight. ... And occasionally comes knocking dinner on the way-doesn't happen anything.
Let's remember just only the backpack cost more than food, and so bring your sleeping bag, tent and mattress surface, and more about flatware, toiletries and hygiene, flashlights, walking sticks, batteries, clothing, hats and so on and so on.
If you want to sleep in your room, hostel etc-think in three digits. Buses have occasionally cost quite a bit in the path-not exactly a major trip.
You can spend thousands of dollars on this trip fun, then do yourself a favor and don't ttkmatno about 200 shekels a month trip.

So, I had felt great I need food.

I ate two meals a day, the meal about 10-ahtashra. And one meal at the end of the day, i.e. 5.30-6.

Beyond that, I'd eat morning snack/energy Hilwa, wafers etc.

Breakfast PITA and half value or porridge, dulce de leche, goat cheese (goat cheese, standing outside the fridge.)

Another break in the middle of the day, and dried fruit

Dinner cooked tuna flakes = or something similar.

Not trying to save the way it came out.

Buses don't go (all the idea is going on foot? )

I agree with ALE 10 kg in three months of strenuous activity is cool and the body can tolerate such a thing certainly (3 months including a stop for a week at Neot Smadar, another week and a half around Jerusalem, and more additions, and usually not even on Fridays, Saturday)

Besides I got to much for Angels and friends = also provides food.

In this context, I have a great story on a real farm.

Almost identical to what I did. Actually what Arad mailet to empty my pocket was dried fruits we eat a lot of them [in the morning and on the way], and they cost a fortune.

Not lost on the trail at all, but from what I hear, that's the exception [I've never had a tendency to no side, no weight gain rather than weight loss, no matter how fed or not fed]

Mark, I lost seven weeks of about five or six pounds and ate much more than opening the thread above. 10 kg in 3 months on Israel and surrounding areas is perfectly normal for men.

What a bummer, I haven't lost anything.

I guess it's in the blood, in aircraft added pounds.

I guess that's why I'm just a gunner.

I promised a story about real farms

The background was that you did in Saturday and Sunday went from Arad to 258 road and went on a ride to Arad, I had to go to some event (BTW did you know that there are buses from Arad to the Bnei Brak?) another night I returned to Arad.

Prepared to carry all food and water for two Tuesday, when built on request water from the base up Scorpions, and perhaps to cleanse and irkeam watching eye. In the morning before I went out again on the road number he was not specifically the actual farms and in the pages of Tal and little didn't say too much water there wasn't even mentioned the possibility of showers, plus the weather was so cold it was. I decided that instead of sleeping in on the actual campsite to Tamar I. Even if there are any better than just shelter, was very cold. And it will save me the water problem and if not there, because it wasn't so certain pages I jump to Dimona, where I have some company.

I hitchhiked to the point where I stopped last night, and I went up on the Tamar, Lo I carry quite a large amount of food for a week at least after first day I ate my food dinner because I was at the event.

All day I fantasize about a big meal I prepare my evening, FRY patties mashed potato powder, popcorn, flake tuna, and removed myself from the weight of the food.

I came from Tamar and I caught a ride with cyclist who returned from a trip with his kids.

The nice guy took me to, first of all, to not know national camping accommodations and then took me to the camels, and waited for me to check with it really, I got out of the car and asked the guy there if Camping accommodation, there is not so much how I do the car:) Israel, explained that someone took me off the trail, 10 miles and took me in. I went to get out of the car and stick bag he agreed I like bilist and told me to go to the Office to ask for the room to say that David sent me.

Okay, this is definitely not just shelter, beds, room heater, hot showers

I returned to the Office to make coffee, I think of dinner I'm going to have to save weight, pancakes etc.

Then David told me that the six should be and I can join them for dinner, I told him I had, and I think to cook food.

Then he said: "probably no need to use it."

Don't know if you guys ever been to a real farm, the concept is largely Bedouin hospitality groups that come to these groups of discovery

Sitting on mattresses, and all four serve huge trays with rice, shawarma, hummus, salads, baking, sumptuous, dessert has a toothsome baklavas and sweets, coffee, tea.

In short I ate. Full breakfast.

At the end of the next day carried more

Just the idea of the place is not so understandable, all the tourists think Israel think about camels, and then take them to a place like this and show them this is right?

A great story

I was there as part of a group of discovery, now just put the name,
Pretty name and seemed they renovated a few ...

The funny thing is that this place is owned by Jews and Bedouins.

When did the Irish?
