Triglav mountain climbing – journey reporting

Firstly it should be noted that it's been a long time since the trip to write this summary – traveled in late September 2007 and this summary was posted exactly three years later. So there may be quite a few inaccuracies, but I hope I can deliver the stuff.

Triglav National Park is the largest in Slovenia which is the Triglav Massif (Tri = 3, Gelb = head, IE 3, and higher peaks sometimes Secretariat the name).

You should start reading in the Park's official website:

There are many trails in the Park and "sew" tracks 1-5 days. I made a circular route that began and ended in the village Stara Fu?ina Nice which is on the eastern side of Lake level. You can also begin on the West side of the Lake, but this is a very difficult and steep increase not recommended for Sunday of the track (and the route makes no cycles).
My route took 3 days – 2 days to have the top of Triglav (2864 m) and the last day (except this morning which included her to top herself) was devoted mainly to decrease.

The weather – not so predictable, and needs to be updated. I started to walk right after a huge storm (strong in 25 years) and from 2,000 meters went in the snow (no auxiliary equipment at the time isn't even walked with canes). The weather was sunny and charming. The quiet after the storm.
Due to the storm, many roads were blocked and it took me half a day (instead of 40 minutes) to arrive by foot to the village, being the first day started late (13) and finished at last light after 5.5 hours (went rapidly and almost uninterrupted due to the late start – we recommend to let this section 8 hours).
Trees that fell in a storm two days before (and it's relatively small yet):

Shepherds huts manned on the way:

Sleeping in the hut Ko?a pri sedmerih jezerih: ((three lakes cabin?).

At the beginning of the second day, presently the tree line and go around alpenit., in it and parts of it are technically intermediate (level of difficulty rises if going in the snow) and require the use of metallic ropes for maintaining balance.

This way down (not easy in the snow):

Remote view:

The day ends at DOM PLANIKA – this is one of the popularity (especially on the weekend) and book her place in a timely manner.

I booked this tour place a day or two before I got there and it was enough. This is because high cabin, equipped with at least a bit more expensive than its predecessor's. Cabin supply by using a helicopter.

Both cabins can buy a hot meal and a little aside. In DOM PLANIKA can purchase bottled water too. The garbage that brought you, you'll have to take you on.

The view from the cabin in the darkness of the night:

And here for dawn:

In the morning of the third day we climb to the top – the hardest part, technically, especially going on slippery ice without gear. After a steep climb but not long (~ 40 minutes) comes to a narrow blade that need to cross, and deal with sudden gusts and.
Width of the knife reaches meters in some parts (note the lock footprint) when steep abyss on both sides:

After crossing the steep short blade leads to the Summit.
Here's the view:

And another one:

Conveniently you can leave most of the equipment in the cabin (our route went through her back) so that the climb itself is done with minimal equipment (don't forget warm clothes, especially gloves that allow easy grip on frozen metal cables!).

It is very important to maintain the focus of the Summit and to submit to the brownout. The ascent to the Summit I would strongly advise not to do alone.

After returning to DOM PLANIKA and collecting the gear begins a long decline in the Valley that leads to the village from where we started.

Also here (a reduction of about 2000 meters in a short period of time) it is advisable to descend with minimal weight and walking sticks.

Information and manage:
You can reach Lake level near the trailhead by using public transportation from Ljubljana.
Visit the information center indicated in Bled – buy maps to plan a route, to hear the Nice tips (no reservations for cabins with an updated weather forecast for mountains). In short, it's worth a stop.
Current prices per night in performances on the official website – about recall ~ 15-20 euros, percentages, and 9-13 euros for dinner (depending on what it includes).
The track itself is maintained and controls, it's relatively easy orientation.
Last and perhaps most important emphasis in order to benefit from: since these prototypes and decrease with altitude difference is relatively large for those not accustomed to the timid, and since that I described is well-ordered logistically (food, bed ...) and take only relatively short of necessary equipment.
I went with 4-5 kg on their backs, compared to another guy went with 17 kg on their backs (including coffee, chocolate פק"ל Nutella and other" perks ") had his choice Indian

Feel free to ask more questions.
Enjoy

P.s.

Wish to also be our cultural day tours such a busty and young daughters on their way to the top (check out the girl's teddy bear):

I write you here some HARMONICWAVE wrote in time with some additions and gameplay refinements to benefit those who are planning to come to the area soon.
First arrival area-Triglav reserve many approaches when the northern region is more steep and populated mostly small ski villages and mtfabim trails away harder-along with the fact that it's harder to get to Te makes the least popular trekking area-who still want to get the KARNJSKA GORA is village and can be reached by bus from BLED and JESENICA and progress (only in summer) to TRENTA-the West entrance to the Park.
The most common way and train to and from there a train to JESENICA BOHINICA BISTRICA and STARA FUZINA or bus name to SLAP and then early SUMMER walk
Even easier way is to train and then bus to LESCE SUMMER
Or bus from Ljubljana to STARA FUZINA BLED and to
What I found out and I saw the most convenient way is to reach BLED's bus and do the following.
Buy gas at a gas station.
To obtain food in the supermarket up the street.
Buy a map at the TOURIST AGENCY and they keep there big equipment 1 euros per day in the large lockers are secure.
If you want you can arrange jumped through the station 15-30 euros depending on the number of people and 1000 meters rise so save

If you arrive late and have to sleep in Bled HOSTEL CASTEL up the street costs 15 euros per dorm bled camping costs 10יורו per person 50B and 3 euros so nothing to bother moving there.

If you have time you can move to and stay at STARA FUZINA cabinas hours walk from the trailhead

Map-Welcome to map 1:25000 of the Park make it use anyway it is not advisable to go without a map in many places and lousy signage check devastated especially easy to lose forest-Greece and Eastern European tradition, all trails are marked in red the unnumbered check (almost)

Weather-snowy upper areas and exposed and close to the sea-which means each season should bring warm gear and equipment against rain.
Hiking season is from late June to early September (Summit) in July and August are likely to encounter in traffic and full of

Special equipment and more.
Extra tent (no further details)
Mattress
Shcsh optional cabins equipped with blankets and heating

Special.
Summit gloves frozen cables
Rising to the top with the strictest safety harness
Small bag to rise to the top.

Food-Cook no problem need three days to build on the basis of existing cabins in small amount and inflated price possible to cook outside the hut and eat inside.
Can cabins and food because of their proliferation to build them also of course, lunch prices in the sky

Water!!!! There are almost 2000 meters of water including cabins! Which means you need to buy 20 mineral water bottle weight more. in VODNIKOV DOM/PRI TRIGLAVSKI DOM filling 2 bottles and that's enough.

B-huts at a very high level the price generally EUR 20 per room heated cabins share a cozy atmosphere and nice people-you'll need to book a place in the season-the chalets of all Alpine Association which means if you're stuck without you to sleep on the floor of the rafiog will never leave you out.
!!! The rafiog the South Slavic people respect the loyalty card Israeli UIAA Alpine what gives a discount of
50% of each cabin! It worked for me anyway.
Lakes bled camping hiking bohini has a much more expensive and less organized both sitting close to the Lake.
At bohinich in isterich should be checked not about camping
In a tent along the runway are strictly forbidden! Not too near the huts (of course you can exceed)

-Walking is difficult and demanding, challenging and dangerous peak in certain conditions
But if you go a season without much equipment salesman-walking is possible in two or three days.
Navigation can be challenging in some places but if you're familiar with track unexpected map special problems

After the technical matters go to the showdown.
I got directly from adolomits which made me want to go north
After seeing the impending metg and after long reflection on the map I had realized in advance that this is a mistake and halzati to get the train to bled no for the area.
BLED JEZERO railway station went camping at Lake Bled and finished second to stretch the first rain will cover a long time! Half of acamping was flooded and the plastic sheeting that I carry with me three months proved itself for the hundredth time
I checked the forecast and saw that I had 2 sunny days before another storm coming what achniv me time pressure which I don't like but I decided to go for it anyway.
I left a lot of camping equipment, but took me shcsh tent pad and weather at all because I went alone in an unfamiliar area me
In the morning I tried to advance from acamping-tricky because the public shtachbura not moving through luckily once raised my arm stopped me Park Ranger who took me up to STARA FUZINA start for + a detailed explanation on the trail and the + I carry hair tent in vain.
I got a blue sky hope to rise 2000 meters a day with 15 pounds on your back-black clouds and went alone to meet anyone stimulated and made it six hours-it wasn't fun! But snow also started to lose the last rise to DOM PLANIKA
Starting from STARA FUZINA for unclear and should go with out it to map VODNIKOV DOM

In the rafiog already feeling no quarrel with the landlady when she can't open a tent next to the cabin after seeing outside-and it tnachmati 1st assumption I received with the Alpine Club card
Besides the cabin was amazing accordion-toting genius all Slovenian and lifted the atmosphere and somehow I ended up drinking well at the end of the night, although not out of wallet case
I got up early this morning and saw that Sunrise climb isn't going to be easy-Croatian guide tzzrfati climbed the top 5th time and ice and fog lerot it wasn't too complicated-above I haven't seen my shoes in the mist
Falling down (which is no less dangerous) has been cleared and the view.
This is the place to note-there is no reason to rise to the top with this bag simply mortal all right.
Small bag-rain jacket-pants-storm-water-bottle pfent camera and valuables
The large bag can be left in the cabin.
Who still wants to lose another way you arrange in advance of cabins and small equipment and packed well.

I went back to the cabin – at this stage already filled in bottles and went towards the lakes in order to reach the lake level at the end of the day.
The walk continues to be difficult and the weather but fragile landscapes and lakes spread over all.
4 Hungarian young people met and lack of responsibility in going down the descent the dangerous last SUMMER convinced me to get a tent carried in CRNA and sleep the beautiful PARK
The next morning we descended the dangerous descent of one catching foot ditch Hungarian Boulder bmazl that didn't kill anyone and to SLAP SAVICA waterfall entrance from the bottom with the dam and pool free for two and a half euros but it's definitely impressive.
Away downhill until a simple level-in good weather I decided to continue along the beautiful Lake to the East side and from there bus back to camping bled

In summary, though the shortest route challenging and exciting experience of the western area is particularly impressive due to the proximity of the sea and glacial valleys many special plants and wildlife
It is advisable to give at least 3 days to enjoy the walk and I did it too fast, and I felt that way and after
There is no problem in terms of markup and make the walk of 5 days.
Better to spend three days hiking in the lakes and to relax and hang out is something rare.

It is as usual apologize for writing and lack of punctuation you typing like this it's not just if someone leaves this summer and need specific information to send me an email
Pictures soon.

Great reporting!
Fun to recall images, and fun knowing that you actually are travel reports from other travelers.

Gave a lot of practical tips.

To do this and more with considerable weight certainly backs. Medium tv who recommended this route in three days and half the weight.

Hello, I am new here although I've read here.
I flew to Slovenia next week and make the trek to Lake level Triglav in 2 days.
I was wondering if it is possible to sleep in a tent or at least rules in rafiog- Not only because I'm afraid I won't be saving a spot this season.
Another question, does anyone know how רפיוג'ים have and at what distances?
I didn't find answers forum.

Hey mark,

Not acceptable to sleep in a tent at the track (maybe it's legit, I don't see anybody). If you do not climb this shouldn't be a problem, and you can book a place in a day or two in advance (for example, the visitor center in Balad) then no problem.

Great course-enjoy! Amnonl 41543.5082407407

Although ultimately took me all days (without peak)
What kind of name is against the Forum I will tell that the route passed to name common routes that can be done, longer routes.
Lake level:

DSCF0232 by mrwise1, on Flickr
Some background:
A week in Slovenia travelled with the family checked before and found the teriglab Park and the famous route to the Summit (2864 m). Once that was all Slovenian Slovenia must go at least once in their life to the teriglab peak.
(Tri = 3, Gelb = head, i.e. 3 heads).

There are 2 special information centers dedicated to teriglab Park, one in Bled and bolts. I arrived a day early to the Centre of Bled in order to buy a map to consult and book cabins, planned three days but in consultation and reliance
Some common misconceptions about the instructor there convinced that enough real, bought a map and room for the first night in planica, Doom some.
The General was planning her arresting planica on the first day, second day morning peak and Valley road seven lakes to okank, then bus back.

The variable name, the day before the forecast was promising, great weather.

Day 1:
A Mestre potina (600 m) in Koran 8:00 after bus, start point so clearly brought that originally tbrbarti but I got it and it started to flow,
Navigation relatively easy but bad check the areas and uniform check all the trails in the Park are confusing a little.
Day of highs, almost everything in the forest except for baldness or two on the way.
Until Valley cottage and odnikov and is friendly to all, amazing.

Upstairs is the teriglab:

DSCF0280 by mrwise1, on Flickr

I arrived at 5:30 oodenikov DOM but still with DOM, from planica is steep 450 m that takes about an hour and a half hours.
In principle I should but due to poor guidance from which an older traveler vote me in detail about the wrong path I spent hours on that record was very similar to topographic conditions of the cabin,
In short, I saw some scenery burned a lot of energy and I went back for the darkness to sleep apnea oodenikov sleep there.
Very cozy cabin, nice people, cool prices, really enjoyed,
A small table sat there I another pair of Germans, 2 boys and a pair of Slovenian beer adult meal and sleeping pleasure!

Day 2:
I got up and aumptimi in YASU me whoever talked to him and told him that I was planning to go to the Summit told me I shouldn't because the forecast rain and storms, watching because she fereta rise via section is strongly recommended to take a bad forecast.
--DOM planica (2400 m) 400 m below the Summit and spoke with capacity not encouraged me and everyone pretty much repeat themselves, I decided in bites and pickling to skip the Summit and down,
Because the forecast for the next day was even worse I rushed a little, in retrospect, the weather was likely to come up, but it just turned out several hours later.

The day was great, definitely drop, seven Lakes Valley is very beautiful and the weather cleared up slowly, as I kept down I realized I could cost (annoying!) ...

I went through a very steep descent to sooica towards coca okank, 1000 m of steep, not recommended for knees
Because it is also not recommended to start on the East side that needs to get her off, but the scenery is very impressive.

The scenery before the decrease

DSCF0386 by mrwise1, on Flickr

The okank is exactly the last bus at 8:00 p.m. for home staging and direction total satisfied if I came to the net for the Trek I spent four days there.

Regarding prices, half board cost about 30 euros, buying expensive high cabins 4-5 euros per liter.
Map, worth buying the more expensive maps, the maps are torn apart very fast wind and show consideration, something like 15 euro.
Total bill resting, taking too much gear just to have something in case of rain.

Recommend a dip in one of the Lakes, amazingly they are frozen.Amnonl 41543.5355324074

Good summary and photos on Flickr.

About the Summit-sucks, especially that really was good weather down, but if you were alone and without security equipment, I think it's the right decision.

See also came with a small bag, and not a lot of weight on right.

If you have a map, you might check the route you did for posterity?

Where it says Err it oodenikov rise I wasted hours there.
Hope no one repeats the mistake.

The Summit therefore sucks a lot, so sucks I even considering cutting my September trip to Slovenia to end it,
But eventually I think I make up for it.

Made the right decision, so that the Ministers never know anything ever and the weather isn't really reliable.
I have one that I'm careful about if I should resist demands to wind direction that I don't take unnecessary risks. Happened to me several times.

Regarding the map, what do you mean simple maps and maps.
Whether in the major cities such as Ljubljana you can buy topographic maps of Slovenia, I have all the maps.
