Hello everyone, I am currently preparing for backpacking-hiking saturated short (one week) in South America, and wanted to ask a few questions about equipment.

1.-checking some princeton tec flashlights and kind of pulled me. I noticed that there is a growing trend to Dim headlights with preference for non-white, because white gives shock to shock the night vision. I personally don't like the colored light, since it is difficult to distinguish, especially cooking. Because I'm going to use the flashlight (probably) only in the night-walking in darkness-tastes change and investing habits in light colored fabrics?

2.-teraptant. Henry, but I'm torn between two models. It's important to me that the model will be suitable for two people that I don't usually travel alone. Two models that grabbed me were the squale 2 and Rainbow (single). I loved the Rainbow because of significant ontilatia received the sheets until the end (fits me to tropical climates in the North), and the terrace looks nice also invites more relaxed trip and less challenging (like Chillin' on some Lake). They both weigh the same, and excellent at Rainbow Henry rovlica on the amount of people 1-2. My question is, what do you think is better of the two, and if the Rainbow is suitable for two persons. I also wanted to know what it would cost me and how this tax take.

Thanks in advance,

The Princeton ... I have split the TIKKA plus (4 led), very pleased, he served me throughout the trail without had to change his batteries. Great light and a great balance between cost effectiveness (costs about $ 230).
Not from experience, there is also the black diamond Gizmo, and good models and strong spot compared to counterparts in split.

Tent
I have 2 klaodverst tent, I can testify only about, say, because his weight continued also in the southern part of Israel, he stood in high winds (sometimes very) and medium plus New Zealand rainfall.
Important points:
To turn off:
The tent was only handles 3.
Don't need walking sticks to form, but is heavier in 150 grams of asicool 2.
-Hull (shell casings were found in the tent).
The Conference:
To enter crawling. something.
You can sit inside close area.
-Condensation at night without enough ventilation when cold.

A few more things about the tent:
Recommend to buy ground sheet just in case. In the South and Center it saved me and another friend (with the same tent) unnecessary holes in the floor of thorns and sharp stones. To New Zealand didn't take it because I forgot. But there was no need, all with the grass.
The pegs that Henry gave with the tent isn't worth much and go away pretty quickly.
It is important to treat the tent with silicone around the stitches as explained on the website of Henry. (Definitely not boyfriend treated wet rainy night).
Sometimes (quite often in Israel) just didn't stick in the ground pegs! The method to bind to the large stones turned out to be very effective.
Personally, although I'm a fan of canes (2 of them) I would not choose a tent set with 2 sticks have a ichvi after clubs fail and thus contradict the tent, and not always be with sticks, but definitely personal discretion. LiorEl 40679.5415277778

I use of headlamps (do much night walks, etc) and I can warmly recommend Princeton vs. ptzel, mostly because I discovered Princeton much more resistant than ptzel (max battery in Princeton heights House opens after prolonged use, then you can use a rubber band to close, compared to two expensive lamps ptzel both died once (at different times, of course), probably due to excess moisture). The prinstonim that I know are all waterproof, while not aptesl.   Of course this will vary from model to model, and I am currently, models using six or seven different head lamps for long my conclusion.

If you don't do that overnight walks you really don't need the red light. In fact, even most of the night walks, I find that the red light was not enough in most lighting conditions that are losing the sense of depth (this is crucial when traveling for a rough night and need to know where to put the legs).   The red light is useful when you go at night on a dirt road, or for Moon and flashlight head open, then I lit the red light if I need to read the map, and I don't want to lose your night vision.   What I do in such a case no red light is when I had to turn on the flashlight head, I close one eye, so as not to lose your night vision, and open it then it takes time to get used to, but it works pretty well.

Thanks very much for the excellent advice.

Just don't answer me the question of whether the Rainbow tent (for one) can accommodate two people and how is it going to cost me shipping + tax from Henry.

I have a rainbow. I have the previous your opinion which do not place other people unless they have to or they are slim. And of course, the equipment should be left out.

In your new Rainbow (2010) extended wide tent and two turf mats (with no space between them). Keep in mind there's only one entry for each key the longitudinal slits so you jump to the bathroom a little tricky inner man. "

If you sleep with your girlfriend/wife is fine. Otherwise, I doubt that would be convenient for long in the same tent. Better I think to buy the double Rainbow. The difference is only 200 made and this tent two doors and is wider than areinbo.

About delivery and customs-this kind of thing-envirosax. If anyone should come to Israel from the United States, he could get it to save costs

About shipping from Henry-sent him an email

Regarding the customs tax depends on whether or not to exceed your package, then you pay the sales tax.

Again thank you for your answers, helped me a lot.

Beginner's question (I think): I'm torn whether to buy miles or synthetic upside (price not so relevant.) At first inclined toward upside down because of the weight and density, but realized a certain issue to use in tarptant because the thicken. The question is whether the served to thicken buy synthetic dry fast, or worth to invest in reverse; And if it's worth investing in a reverse along with thicken? Liordavidlior 40681.7741666667

The only problem that both with terptant sack if Fakin' the bag touching tent walls inside and outside coverage a little dry. No problem of moisture really embrace a bag to buy the larger klaodverst and is suitable for two If not-maximum take easy curtain spread it over the bag.

Not understanding I Ma going to tour in South Africa alone. When not traveling, I carry the tent alone. When I go out hiking this will generally with someone (but not always), and then split the apparently lift that partners be found on South Africa this dilemma, have to buy single or terptant and this is taking into account that most of the time my partner will be.

Some questions about cooking:

1. about the sale, I'm kind of torn between buying a small gas burner of snow peak, which weighs 100 g without a balloon, and enter the world of Pepsi-Stube. I wanted to hear your opinions about what is better, considering that I will be in South America (regarding accessibility to alcohol and gas balloons), considering that I don't only Cook, but also sometimes the convenience vs.
2 I am considering buying a sirmachvat of snow peak titanium, and wanted to know how significant the fact that the material is not covered against infection (e.g. Teflon). How it is significant in terms of clearing and space pans not sticking to the investment, and if there is a difference in infection between the aluminium titanium as pot jachnun.

I think a lot depends on the runways that do and use your senior.
Some waste gas? Is 220 g container will do you track? How easy it would be to find the flare in the middle of the track?

I was thinking of nzinia that gasoline and kerosene have everywhere. Although the weight to be heavier than the blowtorch but easier to obtain fuel. Need to find out about the area you are traveling and decide what fits.
About tatonka chalia, stove + must stand at about 100 shekels a ricochet. I bought one and it wasn't bad. The question is how deal with 96% ethanol will be available and how much cooking time critical.

About pot, Cup/pot with stainless steel handle that took home 750 ml store. So far made mostly soups and noodles and it was fine. To avoid scorch need to use oil and stir a lot.
The titanium is cleared faster and easier, but the pulse rate here.

I have a liordavidlior, a hotplate, SNOWPEAK weighs 60 grams is equivalent to KOVEA titanium.
The spoken gas burner not so strong and she falls apart pretty quickly. Although my work yet, but the top screw is loose and remove not sitting.
If you want to go in because I encourage you to check theFIRE MAN for KOVEA headed the same. Although considered more but it seems even stronger.
Note that with such a hotplate can be due to 3 guys, unless you cook revealed. This is because it is impossible to put big pots (otherwise your gas burner together, too.;))

It's about the stove fuel. After the trip, I realized more and more efficient (less abroad), use bnziniia. Also allows you to cook something more serious, get gas anywhere in the world.
Disadvantages, weight, comfort and investment.

You can find out how common interest matberg gas in South America. Another tip, if you're going on a hotplate, a moving gas adapter to matberg. (In der some with gas lamps, but can be bought separately, they were much more common in the East, and cheaper in New Zealand. 40705.019849537 LiorEl

Thanks to everyone, in the end I decided to go for a gas burner for convenience.

As for shoes:
Anyone know the company Gaspo? I saw a lot of selling her and speaking in praise forums, but haven't found a neat site. I looked With the model, which is waterproof (Windtex) and for me to sight to South America. Anyone familiar with the model, and can give her opinion? In addition, anywhere I could find no documentation for the weight of the shoe, anyone know more details?
A link to a site that sells the shoe. Liordavidlior 40707.836712963

The company is actually a company factory.
The company produces shoes for big brands and famous when they have big demand and difficult to resist.
The stencil is a year old () and creating his own design.
He uses Gore-Tex membrane, but in easier coming that is very good.
The importer chooses designs and match them to the needs of the audience.
The lock in question can be seen in several military units and is doing a great job and is just like a comparable shoe company.
The specific model has two different shoe models and shoe kshl differs from each other and the destiny of the shoe.
The shoe with a sole on spina bifida which means Mono-block dnsiti email. The shoe is very massive and shoe is designed for trekking.
Weight 1200 g shoe roughly doubles if 42.
I have the original model (zmberln) 1350 grams per pair in size 42.
The shoe fits. TRAVELERS 40707.9268518519
