Then start a short story.
Around the end of April last year (after a trip watched of Passover) the token. Like many others, it all started when I got home and looked at the equipment and tours had pretty tired of what they saw. Equipment levy, and many things you can upgrade/add or download all the equipment I need. About then, at that moment I decided that I'm going to upgrade my equipment (actually it all started because I had a black head. That's how I discovered the wonders of buying foreign equipment on eBay, and then everything's history). Caught in a particularly violent but decided passion I slowly upgraded everything so that there will be minimal impact on the Pocket. So it took me a year to upgrade most of my gear as the main shacanot was through eBay (I experienced a lot of auctions and bought from second-hand products that I am very pleased with them!!) but also, here and there, through the sites.
In retrospective now I see that some things (not many, but there are a few) that I bought just for the moment and I'm not sure really but still use them. I am very pleased from the process I went through:
A. I've learned a lot in the field. Knowhere. During this year I saw my equipment (becomes more and more ultra-Lite of course) and I like this change in thinking.
I have to thank the people who write here. I followed quite a bit after the mouth and some of whom are due. Helped to shape my taste and I don't think I could choose my own people more successful.

Either way ... I reached the last terms updated the home stretch here. Here and there will always be more integrity and just raise the threshold of gadget lust, but the only thing that really matters to me is a new travel case (and actually is the first that required innovation. But you know how it is. Hard to leave old friends).

As part of this change in my thinking I know next case lightweight case. At the same time. Although I've never had a case this style I'm not going to buy support at all-free
As the exodus of laural Mauntain
Http://www.mountainlaureldesigns.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=103

So important to me to be some easy, some support padding.
Without knowing all of the companies in the field of tkvati on two cases that fit (I guess) for my needs:

ULA-Catalyst
Http://www.ula-equipment.com/catalyst.asp
There is no need to show it. This guy sells a lot of Forum members, that I already know.
From initial impressions (read online-only and no physical introduction) are the things I love and love:
Love.
Many additives functional and effective.
A successful design
Back system that looks very massive but still lightweight.

Don't like.
In relation to ultra-Lite's portfolio companies.
Respect from many competitors. Clearly, the issue is the outcome of my back but ... ... How the system really rest? How much she really help in carrying the weight and how she really effective?
From looking at someone's criticism on YouTube that impression: she's back very straight (without adjustable back arch or the user). For me the straight shape of the back can be a big disadvantage, but I don't know how it is.

I'd love to hear insights and opinions of people who have this case, knows him better than me. Particularly important to me relating to efficiency and comfort of the system and whether it justifies the increase in total weight.

GoLite Jam!
Picture of back:

I don't know what year Julie added the Black upholstery back system (in models old momani was not) but I really like it. Also the waist very Rambo like in this case. But let's expand.

I liked very much at the bottom of the bag has two clips allow you to shrink the size of the file. I don't know how small the file when you use this trick, but it has certainly the potential to make the case for diversity. On the other hand, liked the fact that this fabric ltic harder at the bottom to prevent rubbing of the fabric when the friction with the ground (so does the catalyst).
In terms of functionality, there is no doubt that this case is far less attractive. His cool and even includes no bungee cord tie option. Much less pleasing to the eye and much less functional. But you know what, that's not what decides my spoon. Ultimately what matters most to me in this case it would be possible to put stuff and things that are comfortable will be on his back. In terms of convenience, the case caught my eye. Is aktelist (880 g to 70 liters) but seems equally comfortable. From what I've seen online of sponge back system in this case is convex. There are potential reasons for high comfort. But hey ... Maybe I'm wrong. Back system in this case definitely softer and less support heavy weights (weight this low catalyst's) don't have to feel it to. But how significant thing?
Ultimately, the most important question, in my opinion, this case is ... Once again... -System of the upholstery and how the design of the soaking affect the comfort? How this hardwired back system and how it is effective in carrying weights?

In my opinion, if the back-seat, effective and easy Jam (with regard to:) I have no problem giving up the tricks in design: for the benefit of the Jam's archaic.

However, this time I'd like to hear insights and opinions of people who have this case, knows him better than me. And again, this primarily means to me relating to efficiency and comfort of the system.

Last word for mriposa lovers.
I know the case is greatly appreciated and a very successful design. Because that would be the case-the first Lite I would buy.
Consider that haven't completely dealt with the aisle thinking to switch ultra-Lite. According to this, mriposa back system is something I still need to face. Back of the case system is unique and each is functionally effective but in terms of my own thinking, I don't know if I've come to this point.

Perhaps this case will grow on me. I'd get my understanding of him and may fall under the spell, but currently it is not among the contenders.

I would love to get some interesting reactions. I wrote a lot

I have so much experience with the catalyst in the meantime. (Exactly one month from today, San Diego flight and PCT- Strolls ) but I do for exercise with a weight of around 14-15 pounds (including the weight of the bag itself) very case rests.
I am a bit worried from buying the bag without trying it because it's a gamble. But OK so far:)
If you want to see/try how the case I'd be happy to help.

What do you think about the harshness of the upholstery? This spongy and soft or hard and flexible? What about the shape of the back-it is completely straight or the Internet that me and slightly arched system here?

About to see/try. Actually I would love. Thanks for the offer.
The only obstacle is that I currently live in Haifa (from day Tel Aviv time) but I don't have a car so I'm not crossing.
If anyone from Haifa/Tel Aviv has one of the two bags I'd love to give relief sortie to see what all the fuss is about.

In the Max. Even if I don't see the case before buying my feeling is it will be hard to miss with purchase. Either way it's a smart buy for me.

Extra information:

The GoLite Jam of nearly 100 dollar cheaper Catalyst.
A very significant difference. But is it justified?

I have those files (I have a GOLITE PEAK, gregory z55, berghaus and OSPREY arte45) but I looked about a little in recent months because another good case:
1) was disqualified the vc60 granitegear crown should be the replacement of the legendary VAPORTRAIL looks cool
2) Note that the ULA divides the volume very different--a very big pockets and only 40% of Central Pocket volume is not necessarily a problem just very different from all the rest.
OSPREY EXOS relevant)
4) surprisingly MTNHARDWEAR as part of its ashtep with the ULEI STECK's THRUWAY50 talking about him a lot on BPL for example here http://www.backpackingli.../forums/forum_thread_id? thread_display.html = 59678
Selling such a medium now in 200 http://www.backpackingli.../forums/forum_thread_id? thread_display.html = 60753
5) also has a STATE OF THE MARKET REPORT on the subject, but needs to read http://www.backpackingli.../forums/forum_thread_id? thread_display.html = 60753
6 exotic options) more (not necessarily all) like hyperlightmountaingear and ZIMMERBUILT that are doing interesting things.

Let me do a lot of homework.
Again, nice comment. I really appreciate it. It will take some time but I will be back with more interesting response.

Well, I couldn't resist. I had to see what you're talking about.
Vc60 granitegear crown not at all connected to design, but that doesn't matter. What's interesting is the unique system. Again, I wonder how it's convenient, stable and effective?
OSPREY EXOS-as mainstream. It is already known before. It's not a bad choice and great but needs point if I had to choose between: (full bit) I'd go for the catalyst-is more meticulous and profess/functional.
THRUWAY50-spectacular in terms of back system. Interesting in principle. But ... A. He has no match for shlocr. 2. don't make it if S e too minimalist.
Exotic options-too extreme for my taste. And no less extreme rates.

Even if I fell about anyone of these cases I was glad to meet them (always fun to see what else there is in the market).
I think in terms of diversity and functionality: still doing me the best impression. The period mentioned in section 2 are very conducive to and in my opinion is favorable and scores exactly. Ninelives99 40980.4604398148

You changed the file only after all other Exchange your equipment equipment easier, it's smart.

Don't write what weights you target, and what size you need.
Perhaps the CIRCUIT can work (look at videoseries , if you haven't come across).

The JAM and CATALYST are not in the same category of weight and carrying capacity (and price, as specified) and it really depends on your needs.

OK ... In terms of weights, I needed a bag that can comfortably carry 15 kilos. Plus minus pounds here or there. This is the upper limit. I just assumed that both cases can withstand the weight.
The thought crossed my mind that the two files cannot carry the same weights (per different back-loading weights differently) but I figured I under the red line in both cases.
GoLite website doesn't say what the maximum loading capacity of the Jam. Do you have any idea about this?

In terms of volume, until now I use 60 litres and it was easy enough for the conditions. Although volume dropped slightly but I still afraid to take the volume of the bag. I'd recommend going or the catalyst Typically 70 or simply because they have enough room if I don't need the whole thing easier to shrink the bag (on Jam), or not to use all the pockets (catalyst).

I don't know if this reasoning is correct. Maybe it is better to lower the volume of the bag. Next month will be wet experiment with new equipment, then I'll be smarter.

However, after long thought, I tend to go for the catalyst. He's just so. .. Both in terms of volume of distribution in the different cells and its Add-ons. The design is almost perfect in my opinion.
This could be an intermediate station for me not bad way ultra-Lite. Type of test new territories without going all the way.

I think 15 kg is getting borderline to JAM (not from personal experience-read reviews of loading more than 12).
If I had to choose between them, so a better catalyst.

However, it is recommended (and cheaper) with many users want the GRANITE GEAR VAPOR TRAIL, check.

Also an excellent case Mariposa, though less massive aktelist.

Anyway, I got the OHM ULA's and I can vouch for the exceptional customer service.

Yes, I slowly started off the Jam.
About the Vapor Trail – this is something I definitely need to think about.
Although I don't like the design (what's with the buckles in the front?) but back system. Need to read reviews that it justifies the interest.
Thanks for the tips.

And will, question about ULA's portfolio:
Shoulder straps-what do you think of the difference between the tracks-J to S tracks? I mean, I know the difference in structure but never bothered to find out what is really more comfortable.
Being a girl, would you recommend me to get the priority? (Supposedly better suited to effeminate?!)
Insights and comments on the matter are welcome

BTW

Should these companies (say ULA and granite limestone) discount offers too? I mean, just say I'm going on: ... Is there a way to get him out sometime at iosill the operation costs?

I considered seriously S-shaped tracks (I have relatively thin) but I finally chickened out and I ordered the traditional J and I want them.

ULA-which has a video that shows the difference. The advantage of S gives a little more freedom around my shoulders and really should be more feminine body. Beyond that I can't advise.

About specials-the VAPOR can be found in periodically but pretty hard pricing ULA. If you're into it, sometimes you can find bargains on used equipment (including one that was used once or twice) but it takes a lot of time and hassle (and a friend/relative in the U.S.).

Gregory's cases are a good example of tracks but pictures S looks like a extreme restraints are ULA (curved) and far less compromise. That way even if I know that Gregory's best tracks is not necessarily possible to conclude anything about the ULA's tracks.
A problem that its solution is probably too cold for me.

Anyway, thanks for the info.

Yes, I read what you wrote before and thus wasn't even psalti towards it.
But then when I got to the site of granite limestone seen I can add this case to basket and buy it. The only thing is that it is only available if the torso short (I).

I guess they're clearing the stock and those last moments can get this case.

OK, due to the existence of free time today volume test done (without food and water like that this is still an estimate).
So as mentioned, without food and water, all the equipment is roughly 45 liters.

I guess that with food and water I add 10 litres (depending on length of trip, but more or less!)

A total of 55 liters (not a big change in volume than I was used to in the past, but a significant change in weight).

Focus on cases of ULA that this probably will be my choice:
55 litre bag entered as ULA's Circuit but is getting crowded. Also in terms of maximum weight I get with my weights (max. 16 kilos includes everything) to limit the weight capacity of the Circuit.
In catalyst, however, have a lot more room. Maybe even far too much space than necessary (internal cell usage without extension and only outer cover all my needs). In terms of weights with: I extend to maximum weight limit.

Aktelist. is a bit Over kill for me (and would you recommend me to take the Circuit somewhere)?
Or because the catalyst to better carry the weights I speak should adhere to.

Sorry about the dig but when it comes to substantive and important buying multiple questions and dilemmas is understandable.

About volume. volume backpack is too big is not necessarily an advantage:
1. empty volume tends to be filled with equipment/food.
2. unused volume may interfere with walking, if no compression straps for backpack which.

Recommend you to see the Tal: If you happen.

Basically, if your average is 16 kg, go for the catalyst.
If it is only in exceptional cases, and anyway the trend of reducing weight, consider the CIRCUIT.

Anyway, both of them.

Yes, I'm probably going to see the opportunity and then decide.
Either way, I sent also Chris from ULA my questions. See what he has to say.

Thank you.
