Hello everyone,
I received a gift from Aunt GPS Grameen's. I know "on foot" as defined so far, I prefer the map. Always works. (And I kind of challenged חשבית.)

Anyway I have a few questions:
Why is it good? Or rather what the advantage of it by maps (serious question)?
It comes without maps, where I buy/download maps?
There are sites that

I could use any help/advice/comments.
What should I be careful, have a special software. Etc.

Any help is appreciated.
Guy.

Because then it really crazy player who gives you everything a topographic map and shows you the area, height and are a compass and a lot of other things.
This is good if you want to set yourself a target point or want to see what little progress, or want to get the coordinates etc.

The big install maps on their devices should not be a problem if you want to get directions contact me by email and I will send you the maps of Israel and computer software, do you put more thing both the Grameen's website dribirim.

I use fixed Etrex Vista, but Grameen got why I use it for mapping programs to benefit the Red guides, measuring distances, calculating height profiles and so on.
It is very effective. Just walk by Bill-in purpose; I still get on well with a map and compass. Of course that GPS can give you a dozen IR literature anywhere, but when you're on, how you have that information?
If you navigate in rough terrain and your limited-priceless GPS; It lets you know where you are, where you're going and where you came from-not trivial news limited visibility. But that Bill is marked on a compass and a map to do the job.
Of course, if you received it as a gift-another story. It can be great fun when you see yourself moving on the map-but it is subject to automatic bonus, not something vital to most people.

Ah, Yes; Of course the information functions-you can go home and say, ' look how the wall climbed by height or cuts to export tracks to Google Earth and so everyone can see exactly where you've been.

I just did a little research on the subject.

Maps you can find on these sites:

Http://openmtbmap.org/-maps of Europe

Http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/-maps of the United States, there are also explanations on how to work with maps and some software and drivers should be downloaded.

Map of Israel took out here, Igor, what map?

GPS File Depot has a good explanation of how to install it.

Why is it good? From what I've seen so far.
First orientation, even (especially) If you know how to use map (if you don't know how to help you).
Secondly-mapping and tracking-track distance, pace, altitude profile and General documentation.
Third – designing – good maps save information on trails, Grameen's BaseCamp (free software that can be downloaded from the website of Grameen) knows how to build a track between ITM according to these paths, this route you can save on your device.

In short, a nice gadget, but not something you were doing without.

I wanted to write a long message, but then I saw basically summed up everything I wanted to say more in your original post.
If you are a nature lover, average pretty, also add weight to the case at a time when everyone is trying to download and take only those things that are truly necessary.

But it's always good to know you have a precise appliance you eat to get somewhere not marked trails and still know where you are.
