Drei zinnen or four days around the three teeth. "

Due to requests I open a separate topic for this particular route, much information on the Dolomites you can find topics related toAlta Via
Much of the information here is taken word for Word from other people is just as it says. Thanks to everyone (especially tilapia)!

Hello to everyone!
I will try to describe here in a very clear and detailed as I can the route we did: four days ' walk around ' three ה"שיניים (peaks) of Lavaredo (Italian: Tre Cime di Lavaredo).

Andy and says the Trek from d. h. Nations, especially for those who have not been exposed to this part of Europe and most fascinating geological formations.
But (but not small), stark is not easy trek. These are the Dolomites and thus increases both highs and lows are lows, and whoever is in reasonable shape finishes (in, after we did the track) the walk twice as long and the tongue hanging out.
However, for those not familiar with this area a great place to start to get "first taste", and return again to longer routes.
It is also an excellent route to Tour Italy rules and is particularly convenient for a rental because it circles and going to the parking lot where you parked your car.
In short: don't be afraid, just come ready to walk:).

Some data:
The area of the Trek is theDolomitesarea. The network has enough people who understand better than I do in geology, and I include here the explanation.
Hiking season:
For the opening at the end of June (some are open all year round) and the season officially begins in this period reached its peak in mid-August and ends in the third week of September, with closing. Who's walking Planner for high season must book by phone or by email with accommodation in huts along the route that would be hard for him to find availability. We got for early July (2-12 July) without advance reservations and the cabins were almost always full so we barely inside and had to sleep in private rooms they are much more expensive than shared accommodations in dormatori. All the above are tapering much on weekends for now fills short-term travellers. It's really impossible to find a space in the cabin is popular on Friday and Saturday night without a reservation. You have been warned!
When most beautiful lane:
Plain and simple-at the beginning of the season, meaning the end of June to mid-July. During this period the height, snow-capped peaks and still lots of water flow. However, most comfortable to travel at the end of September as the weather is stable, no more snow and for less crowded (but also less beautiful)
שפה:
I. area it is very close to the border with Austria, the overwhelming majority of the population speak Italian, German place in Austrian dialect. The locals speak limited English, the pretty young but know English. Anyway, you can get even little book to paint what the language prevents say (it works well).
Equipment:
The most important in alpine routes is keeping weight low pod. The lightest weight he plays everything. Is it allows us to enjoy walking and he was watching us on the knees. Duty can track and reduce backpack weight down to 7-8 lbs on weight it needs to add another 1-2 kg of water at any given moment, but in no way, there's no reason to go with a backpack weighing more than 10 kg, there are many ways to save weight. Start with a backpack. Enough backpack 50 or 60 liters and pods of 70-80 liters. Warm clothing is concerned, there is no need to carry heavy brass set after walking since very rpiogis fighter and light clothing. Who builds on rpiogis private accommodation should not bring a sheet and certainly has no reason to carry double float pound cotton. Everything about toiletries should be gnomes. Shampoo (I've seen who carry Pantene shampoo). Small SOAP. Suntan lotion 40 grams (please bring sunblock of Dr. Fisher weight 400 g). Deodorant half empty enough for 8 days and tiny towels beach towel replacement successfully. In short, you need to think small and varied fashion designer to show in rpiogis, he should regroup and understand that brafiog wear every day the same thing out of my voice. Please, don't wait for the first request to understand the dramatic importance of backpack weight. Learn from veterans
-50 + liter backpack (no need for large 60 liter backpack).
-Good walking shoes (preferably elevated to keep the ankle).
-Cape that covers going + backpack (take also casing cover).
-Walking sticks.
-Head torch + fresh batteries.
-A bottle of water and a half liter or a bag of drinking 2 liters.
Single-float/Leiner (Liner) or sheet (optional for those intending to sleep in private rpiogis). Designed for sleeping with the rafiog sheets.
-Above the storm easy walking in wet weather.
-The gloves are good too.
-Gloves/gym (only for those who intends to do via ferrate segments).
-T-shirt from shirt long hoax + funkier head band-Israel.
-Shorts + long pants.
Light cotton shirt and pants to rafiog (i.e. what you wear to fly).
Panties/stockings. Take a long walk socks!
-Shoes Crocs or Sandals for walking.
-If you need sunglasses.
-A hat or bandanna, suntan lotion and cream for 30 +.
-First aid kit (polidin, antiseptic ointment, band-aid?, bandages, knife, etc.).
-Small towel and toiletries (SOAP, shampoo, deodorant and little half finished, disposable razor).
-Pack chocolate or serious increases energy (matter).
-Cellular + camera + charger charger, MP3 + headphones (optional), several reading (optional).
-Bill number (optional), story (recommended) trail maps (optional).
Passport + photocopy of passport in case I lose + cash (70 euros X number of days walking).
Security +-ring (only for those planning to do via ferrate segments).
-Medical insurance (sports) for the period (not credit card insurance).
Book/author.

Weather:
Big, very comfortable weather. Cool day and night simple cooler. Should be prepared for rain and fog! They come and go very quickly.
What are you on, the sun shines and you're happy, spinning around and suddenly:

The days we had great weather, except for a few individual hours. You can find a network different projections.
I enclose a link that here and we saw that most accurately:
5-day forecast

Cabins/rifiugio:
The huts are actually motels with attractive location at the time would also be a topographic high. The huts called ריפיוג'ו and Italy are divided into two types: public imbbalot ripiog (CAI-Club Alpino Italiano) and privately owned ripiogis. There are some differences between public and private ripiog. Public ripiog, maintained by the Italian Alpine Association would be more often, less equipped and sometimes even without hot showers. On the other hand, controls the Caretaker)) of public ripiog will regularly nicer from the owner of the private ripiog, maybe because people's opinion to determine the employment or non-employment in the next season. Public rafiog never throws travel outside when it is full, but mortgaged it everywhere with it the kitchen or the stairwell. In contrast, rafiog, throw walking uninvited outside in the pouring rain and blink if the rafiog is full. After I've visited most of the rpiogis along the route have a clear preference for the rpiogis, but I find it hard to unambiguously verse. On the one hand there's cheaper ripiog, the food which is usually bigger and there is no substitute for the warm treatment receiving it in rainy nights. On the other hand, in private rafiog get hot water not limited in time, clean sheets, blankets, duvets and a menu that includes wine. The first ripiog is also often fancier and offers private rooms with a level of 2-3 stars.

They slept in huts along the route are (in order):
Auronzo (pronunciation is o-ron-by locals)-first night at a discount to the trailhead at night, unless you plan to arrive early in the morning and start walking, because this is also the trailhead.
Talschlusshutte (pronunciation:-metal the local Los Hat)-first night
Carducci (pronunciation is Carr-Chi by the locals) on the other.
Pian di Cengia (pronunciation is feynan. d-GIA Chan by the locals) on Tuesday night and last.
Details about the subject of the story, but mostly this kind of small hotels with a bedroom upstairs and downstairs. Most are run by families, but everywhere workers are also students (quite easy to identify them) to make money during the summer. A chat with the guys there seems there's kind of a small community of students who work in the area. Cute guys worth to connect them, learned from them much on the region and customs.
* We are both vegetarians. The Italians and the Austrians love all kinds of meat in their food and make them it not including meat! The Italian word is vegetariani (it's pronounced and Zhejiang--ter members)
Costs:
We worked in large by the calculation of 70 euros X number of days in orbit and we definitely. The park entrance (on misorina) should pay the park entrance (22 euros) plus 5 euros for every day inside the reserve. Total 37 euros. Hotels Auronzo parking doesn't cost anything. Most of the cabins can fill water directly from abrazim, and if not then tap out there to fill water. Anyway it's worth asking the owners. Pian di Cengia cute Coed in our sky likely signs of "drinking water" in most shacks to make money selling water. However, there are places that don't have drinking water from the tap. In short – ask.
Of course getting a rental car:
The most convenient base for reaching (Dolomites and on track in particular) is the Verona in Northern Italy which approximately 250 km from the starting point in Lake Rais.
Another option some away (300 km).
We met at nam Fiat Panda's cute, that accompanied us throughout the trip. We drove through Bolazno. The trip is about three hours by car. A charming way! Don't pass up this trip because it is beautiful. Junkyard Belluno, which is equally beautiful and consider it a little different geography and stepping to the side a bit of Italy. Besides the road passes right by Venice. Whoever draws it invited Venice to give bump coming back (us). All marine GPS enthusiasts I attach the track in Google Maps:
Return route via Bolazno
Track return through Belluno
Photos from the road:

Markers and maps:
Overall, the trails are marked and the wider trails you can't go wrong. When reaching the mountain paths and can be more difficult, but the topography quite forces along the path. A very important tip we learned: to go with the locals in rafiog ' on track for tomorrow they know all sorts of hot corners and even approached us to there new maps Prata (don't worry, we will detail her below). We did about buying rafiog map but weren't! Only in the middle of the second day we were lucky and got the last map at Talschlusshutte. It is better to buy at misorina before starting the route so you don't get stuck.
Recommend unequivocally to maps of Tobacco Company. These are the best selling map name in the area. Point.

H. l. and cm

First day's walk:
We got to Auronzo night before traveling and there. A charming way (I have outlined the top) and entering the right mood when we saw the Summit already has an appetite to start traveling.
We came up a little before sundown and our breath away from view.

The rafiog ' own favorite and more. Very touristy, probably because the area is very accessible. No problem filling a drinking abrazim (signs).
The view from the window in the room:

We got up in the morning, after breakfast, we started serious walking on a trail toward 105 Locatelli.
The increase on the trail is North of Auronzo. Instead of turning to the rafiog continue until the end of the road where the trailhead.

Surround the three teeth, until arriving to the north side, where we stopped by a few small agmonim:

And immigrants to Locatelli for lunch.
The landscape rise to Locatelli:

Locatelli:

After stopping for wildlife is to lose lily-livered Gringo on 102 toward the rafiog ' where we sleep at night, rafiog ' Talschlusshutte:

The decline is significant decrease in height (nearly a mile) and all along a charming stream:

Look on top of Einser delimiting the river South (us independence day in etc talk):

Finish the rafiog ' Talschlusshutte. This is the best rafiog we were idiots. People instead, and luxurious.
View from the end of the decline on the day:

Schedule (we went calmly):
From Auronzo to Locatelli-2 1/2 hours.
From Talschlusshutte-Locatelli for three hours.

Two day walk:
After breakfast worth at Talschlusshutte the start of the second day. It is almost entirely (except for the 500 ft drop rafiog Carducci) and complete an increase of 1000 m (!). Start the trail on the north side of 103 Einser Summit:

On the way up:

At the end of the reach rafiog ', the name of Zsigmondy eat lunch and enjoy the view:

Then begin the increase to pass:

After a short pass on it and realize that it was definitely worth the cost.

Away look south and see the rafiog, and the spectacular views.

Come to rafiog ' Carducci that spend the second night.
The owner of the place called Bepe and he is very experienced. There is even a film about climbing Mount Everest or K2 or something, and it hangs there without food and water for 16 hours. In short, talk to is interesting.
Schedule (we went calmly):
From Talschlusshutte to Zsigmnody four hours.
M. l. Zsigmondy Carducci hours.

Third day's walk:
In the morning we got up and talked with Bepe on track, only to discover that ... Is blocked! Because of the double pass we wanted to cross was blocked. Therefore we recommend Bepe on another way to go.
In addition, he said that 107 (for him to go) is the path isn't easy at all, and have experience in the mountains there to go.
In short, we're back to pass in the fog:

And recommendation of a 101 Bepe Bill to pass that on the other side of Zwoerkofel Ridge.
Please note! The steep and difficult, and not just as well.
Picture of the way up (look at what we need):

We got up and got rewarded for effort:

Because we didn't want to give up the view from the street (and the locals said it was a very nice) decided to go on to the part.
And therefore what pass us South on 107.
Note: there are no simple parts of section 107 from Carducci to pass. Some feature with cable type:

Some feature a dangerous walk on water ice underneath it (you can fall easily two feet into the pit that in ice like the ones on the right):

Some walk in the collapse time (a minute after we had an avalanche of some boulders on the right side of the picture):

In short, for a challenge. Don't be afraid to go. But keep in mind you need experience in hiking and search and l'm not sure basic equipment for emergencies (slingim, rings, leash). This is at least the snapshot for right time we went there. The most important lesson is:
Talk to the locals. They have more knowledge and experience of
Where possible this far from the other side and went back to pass.
On the way back:

You can see the trail marked well. To understand, mainly because there is no obvious route and has gone to the region.
From there we continued on 107. On the recommendation of Bepe we should continue on the path until the split to 101, and is a sign that leads us to.
Look for the sign:

We found!

Ta da! Prata new appears on maps and leads straight to ... Pian di Cengia, rafiog, where we sleep. After we were done to praise and glorify the Bepe matters examine Prata:

The Prata:

It is used to transport axis supplies during World War I
(Turns out this way is a translation of the sign) and the Prata paved ditches and hiding caves Battlement.
Prata relatively simple and easygoing, which adds a lot to the rafiog color and certainly diverse.
How does one get there?
Because Zwolferkofel Pass: going for 107 until encountering a sign you up, then rise straight North on the Ridge until you reach parata. The route is marked in red (in part).
Because the rafiog Pian di Cengia: depart from the arpiog on the page 101, with Tibetan flags and see the same sign, just on the other side. For Prata is near the footpath signs. You can't miss.
On the map:

Reach the Pian di Cengia rafiog. Rafiog ' charming and sweet. We talked with them a little and they recommended to go to the observation deck near the top of Einser (remember her?) leave from the arpiog North of and 101A. It's a dead-end path that leads to the point, just ask the rafiog.
On the way to the point:

All this ridge line of Defense during World War I. Therefore there are many observation notes, equal to linger and watch:

View from one of the caves:

We arrived to a viewpoint they Pant, like dogs and a little wet (dropped some rain), but we made scenery from our programming:

A top-down perspective on the decline on the first day (remember the Einser Summit marking us?):

We went back to the rafiog eating a good meal, we sat down with the guys and went to sleep.
Schedule (we went calmly):
From Zwolferkofel to Carducci-three hours Pass.
From Pian di Cengia Zwolferkofel Pass for 2 hours.

Fourth and final day's walk:
Short and concise today. Wake up in the morning and go on until the Auronzo rafiog 104.
Some photos from the road:

Edelweiss:

A protected flower which locals attribute symbolic significance. In historical context, he was the symbol of the brigades who all prattot and caves which we visited. A special flower, not easy to encounter. Worth a look ...
Schedule (we went calmly):
From Pian di Cengia to Auronzo – three hours.

Voila! Our Trek was over here. The shtldati group all information clearly so that people can use.
It was amazing and I'm sure we will return to some more serious (AV2)

See you

Hey

Thanks for the detailed story and crazy handsome photos.
There is no doubt this could be a great Trek in Northern Italy trip.

Whether flying in cheap flight specifically for VRN- Charters have a know.
Another question-how long before our Trek-rintam

By the way, Edelweiss is also the characteristic and Swiss national part of the TMB (it did)

Thank you

Congrats on the new entry
I recommend that you go through AV1 concatenation and copy away references to your route. Travellers tips etc

Attach a summary letter from a parent who went the year when bar mitzvah trip with us.

Hello and thank you for your help in organizing the trip.
Was a wonderful experience for me and my son, who wants to go hiking in the mountains every year.
It was fun to navigate and sweat in a spectacular and perfect weather.
The track was just the right size for the first time to a 13-year-old boy.
Although the other day, finished at 12:30 p.m., but was staying with a sense of accomplishment than exhausted.
The little rpuse Pian di cingia was empowering and teaching experience (the son we can sleep with 20 people in a room and a bath in the sink).
Lucky graduated early, we sleep on a table in the dining room, and there remains a table available.

Hey,

I want to go out with friends to the price and make a circular route, the route you did look amazing.
From what I understand on the third day, you should use the equipment. Is there a way to get through the track without climbing equipment? If not, then maybe there's another route recommendations you can make 3-4 days (meaning price area)?
Thanks

Would it be very petty of me to make a comment about the author's quotation?
"In short, for a challenge. Don't be afraid to go. But keep in mind you need experience in hiking and search and l'm not sure basic equipment for emergencies (slingim, rings, a short rope) "

That any one of those things you can't create krwas extraction system.
Why mention this equipment?
What would you do with Sling? Need to do during the docking stations for
What to do with? Need to anchor yourself to rock? If yes then there is nowhere to dock? Need a harness?

I don't see any use of equipment during their recalled Bill.

If you already have a stake in any segment during the trail, and have experience with any rope manipulations I think interest in not increasing for more than a short sentence. For the safety of members of the Forum.

Buckthorn refers to a specific section of via ferrate which is done without equipment
It is not necessary to do this. You can bypass it and choose another path.
Anyone who chooses to follow the via ferrate take standard security equipment via ferrate

Hey Amir
This beautiful and difficult path to walk (in his usual route)
This route lay relatively little space The seven huts scattered at various points. Buckthorn specify part of a message.
These cabins by a circular track with a clock: Greece

Auronzo
(Drei-Zinnen (Locatelli
Talschlusshutte
Zsigmondy
Carducci
Pian di Cengia
Lavaredo

Make browsing the Google the names and their sites

You don't have to do via ferrate. Trails are arranged that very comfortable walking without any technical section.
The design of the track is very simple. Decide if you want to make a single route daily, daily report, daily or four.
This is the only important decision should be given. Full orbit "classic" of takes three days (two nights).
The route is very busy in July and August and the compulsory advance industries

We want to explore this year on 5 July

It wasn't Lollapalooza. Buckthorn added one day that made the course a little more challenging
You can skip this day or give up the via ferrate

Hello to everyone
First of all thanks to Joe and the rest of the participants listed on the Dolomites – read almost all threads on all the tracks.

And now a few questions for anyone who knows the area we plan in mid-September to embark. We want to do with the AV-1 in 8 days (11-11.7) and then make a short Trek of three days (20-22):
1. is there any concern that the huts are closed? I read that they are open to, did not leave the area on 21-22-
2. do you recommend the three teeth after AV 1? Especially in terms of diversity and renewal.
3. If not, is there additional recommendations for him along with a different view or special area (we intend later jumping to Venice and return flight from Verona, this sector limits more or less ...)?
4 tilapia, could also get a map of the three?

Many thanks in advance
Tamar

You should check with the huts themselves by email regarding the closing date of the year.
Perhaps because of the delay in the opening of the season, will also delay in closing the season.
Teeth don't view similar to what you see on AV1. The route on the second day and the third is very different and
This route is complete the Dolomites of AV1-2
Send you the map.

Hello everyone,

Monday's back triples. Plan your trip for a long time in advance, but we missed the weather however decided to implement the programs and travel-whatever-became-from the u. The weather was perfect. Until noon at noon wristlet heavy clouds and then cleared again. Except for the last night of which feared that according the forecast should be already turbulent during the day but the storm waited until we reach the cabin and wake up and visit some 30 cm Snow and merry holiday blessings from the cabin. Pchpachch weather indeed. We realized that even two weeks ago dropped heavy snow around so that all the huts were open — although we invited them (a.). We arrived at the ornzo hut (where we left the car) and received advice on cabins and itineraries, we updates instead. That's not a flaw. The snow just adds to the intensity of the scenery around him and just adds interest. Under the circumstances, our route was different from those described above-107 was partly without access and what was challenging was accessible and we don't have the proper experience so our route was oordo-ornzo-קומיצ'י-oordo-auronzo (total 3 nights twice a loordo so went back in and short). About the map-the map gained the post above but also entrance received equally good map. About-because there are several mountain passes and we're used to Israeli heat take warm clothing (we used in thermal and micro fleece gloves warm neck CAP). The food was great and in a variety of tzimachoniot too. We should not miss the PIAN DI CENGIA name cabin
We stopped only because strudel chocolate and route constraints described above but for us this is the cabin. After the Trek continued to Trento-went along the wine road to the blseno and from there went to SDE. Highly recommended-a spectacular trip among vineyards and picturesque villages and many small wineries. A fun end to a successful trip.

Hello,

We plan to do this trip in August with family (children aged 11, 14, 17) experienced in trekking. We also do with the day of via ferrate. Are we overreacting? We can also get the long-awaited map?

Thank you

Yisgav
