Hi all Forum members,

I have read many articles and watched a lot of videos on the subject of proper packaging and distribution of weight in the backpack.

If I understand it correctly, you must divide the weight so that the heavy stuff to be as close to the back bottom and lighter objects are in front and on top.

Not infrequently, it is recommended to use bags to organize equipment and proper distribution.

Should I invest and purchase sacks. I used to date a rice bag backpack without a Division.

The question is how you pack your knapsack? Do you use dry sacks and/or in stuff sacks to arrange the equipment?

Do you just compress all backpack bag?

Sincerely,

Moran

Don't give in, compresses. Don't use them anyway until evening.

What I need-food walk, rain clothing, up close.

Heavy objects are always tight the back height minimum value. Center of gravity as close to the body and the waist.

Like you said, the heavy stuff down better.
I'm also considerate also the following:

1. do I need the artifact during the day or at night?
I don't put my coat down storm and then have to dig to find it demands when it turns red rain.

2. does the artifact may push?
Don't blame food under something heavy.

3. does the artifact might cause damage to another object.
For example, don't put something with sharp corners by above.

Regarding dreisk, I prefer to use a few plastic bags and rubber band.

I use dry bag only when there is a risk of rain or when water route. In that case, I usually take only one where enter everything (except rain gear is always a more accessible place outside).
Other standard days the clothes just compressed into a bag.

In a few days of above stuff sack are very useful for grouping of all kinds of personal items, chargers, batteries and more incoming items ה"שונות category.
(These are not items you need continuously to put them in my pocket but these waist nor what I want just part the case and therefore an appropriate storage bag is great here).

I have other stuff sacks and just six months ago I bought two new ones in their place. In one of them I put all my food, and other clothes. So, the main compartment has a down sleeping bag and mat (small neo-Mair tumbles to coil really small) and two sacks that are next to each other. Small bag of inflatable sleeping mat I put all my other features. Easy to find things.

I travel in places real rain mode:) So all the appropriate character for this.

What has been written about not add weight distribution
Regarding water protection:
Always shield defense line on critical equipment.
Any bag with large DRYSACK (something really strong nylon bag) and critical equipment bag plus (for example shcsh and make coat etc)

Peek

Here

There are many interesting data but JIM talks about his packing method-big doing similar.
Case covers are quite irrelevant. So I gave up.
Of course, if significant rains everything different.

About STUFF-SACK I use only equipment not sensitive to water (gas burner etc)

Use clothes, food and cooking utensils. The tent comes with a sack anyway. Easier to identify and retrieve the bag. Of course what STUFF you need dry seat in a plastic bag and maybe two.
