I took the liberty of asking guest opinion, due to the same picture you (particularly mslolichm), as well as the traveler's ilotio daily-sell.

Outlays stand at the base of the characterization is a photo during multi-day course hard when all the equipment on his back, no charge.

The photo; Wide view, remote objects and close, casual (this is not a marevi photo, but a photo in the woodpeckers on the way), and plants and flowers.

The required lighting conditions: light, light-filled first and last. It is expected that only use the Flash.

After reading, consult with a teacher, visiting the store, has developed the following list:

A. the viewfinder-a must! (I'm not sure if I'd rather be happy to digital or optical guest opinion).

B. power (rechargeable lithium batteries, to photograph without light show).

C. limitations of weight and volume (it seems Travis-compact about it – and the choice will be between SLR-like camera and a DSLR camera-one versatile lens is necessary, which also details photographic views and colon in reasonable quality).

4. boot time and minimal cycle time.

The image stabilizer (which type to choose?).

And zoom that allows photo objects.

7. external switch allowing quick selection of photography.

H. possibility of defective light photography (first and last).

I. operating simplicity (for speed).

Y. Suppose that won't use accessories such as GPS.

She. 8 GB memory.

To understand:

Compact camera-don't answer the requirements (very hard to find such cameras and optical zoom viewfinder cost significantly).

SLR-like camera seemingly. My concern derived from digital viewfinder (also realized other benefits), and significant discounts on the sensor such as a DSLR.

(Reflex) DSLR requires using a lens and large volume.

Free cams show seemingly can match due to smaller body sizes, but the niche is not known, it was hard to get information.

Recommendation focusing her camera-like got to r is Canon SX 50:

Sx50-http://www.megapixel.co.il/cameras/canon/powershot-hs

And reflex Canon 1100:

-1100 http://www.megapixel.co.il/cameras/canon/eos

I'd love to learn from your experience and hear your opinions at all levels, from the basic level to the recommendation focused on this camera.

Thank you for your time.

Must be an avid photo enthusiast to carry heavy camera I just unlocked and the photographer, I shoot in advance.
But certainly gives good Smartphone what needs more than that to have a mobile charger can use unlocked a week without electricity and filming.

Izzy,

Thanks for your opinion.

I photographed myself, but mainly to share-and it is very important to me.

In my opinion, mobile is suitable for general photography, much less shoot, shoot thin, light, etc. (one comparison shots from compact camera and cell phone).

The evidence on the long trails Forum, makes me hope that a proper balance can be reached between the photographic medium weight limits and the size of the traveler.

As for film-camera-film camera of Canon, but is only good for photographers than me (I have a lot of bloopers too.)

I wonder where to get elephants in India found elephants (heavy if big ears) and one-time elephant cam like question time how developers that no light store.
BTW you're photographing animals you ask if they allow filming. Some aplsh animals have destroyed their eyes like species of birds and penguins and some other kinds of animals.

Dear, move

Not set.

SLR-shaped worst worlds (except zoom).

In Flash you will not use, for first/last light you need a big sensor and lens with a large aperture.

How are you going to shoot pictures that battery so important?
Whether it's a day or two so the camera can hold 300 to 400 images.

How important to you zoom? Usually it zoom lens and image quality (some will, you're going to shoot birds?).

The wide side is equally important for broad vision field in view.

Missing shows cameras give excellent image quality for less weight but a little more money.

Incidentally, compact today. From some point started to leave the heavy SLR at home and hang out with the CANNON S100.

First of all, decide on the type of camera, and then will make recommendations spitspies.

Remember that:
1. all compromise (weight-price-quality image etc.).
2. probably the most restrictive will bring you.

A. the best advice in the comments belong to "harmonic wave"-all compromise.
Having said that
I've been travelling for many years with SLR-like camera Minolta Dimage Z5-(you can search, but is there no longer produce.)
Very similar in its properties to the cannon powershot shaila aimed a message.

Here's what I know:
A. digital viewfinder sucks (at least in my experience)-optical viewfinder comes only with real SLR-which means you carry lots of camera optics which is heavy and cumbersome.
On the other hand, digital viewfinder much more battery efficient use of screen-then I say go for it. All compromises have already said?
B. rechargeable batteries is nice, but what's happening in third world countries with lots of time between places with electricity? My camera uses AA batteries-rechargeable working with, but I have the option to just buy batteries. If you don't travel with lithium this month.
C. forging real SLR and are generally bigger and heavier. ל"דמויות" SLR ratio too, especially in relation to point and shoot.
D-SLR boot win. Small cameras and SLR characters spend a lot of time and a battery for pluck their lens on each ignition.
The opinion No.
And zoom: versatile lens does the trick, especially with the CCD today. Animal photography you need at least 250 mm zoom, and at least 400 birds (both lowercase). But here the obstacle: multi-purpose lens (mine is something like 30-300 mm) facts as well in low light because long zoom limits their ability to work with shutter open without distorting the image.
7. a matter of design and price.
H. answered.
I. every camera today (what I saw) came with optional fully automatic-fire-and-forget. So don't worry about it.

Nice iPhone photography to shoot-rice likely for filming cannot shoot, Zoo. The cameras to have PDAs being unreasonable and optics, which makes them non-attractiveness (to me).

I recommend "SLR-like" with digital viewfinder (need to find the low light capabilities). You pay in low light and during startup, but gain weight (compared to an SLR) and superb optics and zoom (as opposed to the smaller cell phones).
Consider also the reverse option-something like this:
And her long-lens is useful.
This configuration can become a professional camera-everything without having to inflate the real SLR. The disadvantage is that there is no viewfinder and no Flash. But the optics will be better than the kind you showed, and the camera itself weighs nothing and a quarter (200 g).

I dug enough, good night, and good luck.

Join a "recommendations"-look at models of Olympus and Panasonic are the pioneers, share the same connection configuration lens and lens selection, to my understanding, models of Canon and Nikon are particularly expensive. Even Sony and Samsung produce good models but no viewfinder.

I wouldn't buy the 1100 d but going on100 d.
This newer model with more quality sensor (cmos) as 700d (both models came to market) and is the most compact slr that Canon removed in recent years (if I'm not mistaken most compact slr on the market).

About lens-travel with lens Canon 18-135 of I think catcha between weight and capabilities.
Zoom lenses are usually heavy and large, most of the pictures I take are in the field, and Max zoom lens capture enough of some tens of meters.
Anyway, the zoom lens is almost mandatory to have a steady

Yair, Jonathan.

Thank you for seeking answers, the recommendations and the reference to the site.
The information shared stand waiting and contributes.
Follow what you say deepened my "homework" and accumulated information.

My abilities as a photographer.

I forgot to mention this, but I signed up for a basic photography course. I hope to start the course when double-clicked a new camera, its people will use in the future.

Numeric data.

I went through more than 1,000 pictures from Israel-sea journey and additional tracks and the following numbers:

The amount of pictures.

I'm getting between 100 to 200 pictures a day, at least a third of them are deleted due to poor quality (other images allow viewers to understand resemblance where I was and what I saw ...)

Segmentation according to types.

Approximately 50 percent of these are pictures in daylight, without using the zoom or Flash.

About 10 to 15 percent of the images are borderline light view images without using zoom and using in Flash (camera decided to run it).

About 30 percent of these are images of still growing or living in static mode, using outreach Zoom object or quarantine as a whole. Most were taken in full sunlight, even in light of borderline.

Approximately 5 to 10 percent of these are photos of details, or bodies in motion.

Video-I uses video (although I think if operating buttons allow a quick response, you may and should be military, film or building cranes, instead of trying to film them in stills ...)

The main problems with the current camera (simple compact Olympus optical zoom, 12.5):

A. difficulty in using light full screen projection, on Greece. (In other words, I don't see what I'm getting.)

In pictures taken in daylight are characterized by poor quality limitations.

C. difficulties in focus (there is a gap between the desired focus point, between the point being the actual focus).

4-speed conventional photography is decent speed (especially since the camera is in his pocket, without Holster), but in the absence of a dial to capture modes and Flash, any change requires a long and tiresome burrowing.

Examples of bloopers.

Empty trails (Black Snake managed to pass)
Orphan branch (leaf Warbler flourished)
Empty sky (to the left of the photo of crane structure)
Daily quiz kid (kids can find the deer?)
Rorschach test (difference of chicken he passes)
Fifty shades of dark blue (light on the level)
Ponctoalisti-resolution painting excavation (first light level),
Cubism in style Rak (aiming for monbior, the camera focuses on a thicket)

In reality things are funny and a lot more.

Free cams show.

On the surface it looks like an interesting combination, but I only shop where heard. I'm impressed that this new technology, to a considerable degree of skepticism from understand interest.

Yair and myself, please advise., I intend to go to see shows free cams (my this technology before ...)

Budget-

Assume with regard to the budget compromise-as compromise, be prepared to pay more (1500 to 2000 is reasonable).

Batteries.

The current camera-eyepiece, lithium battery lasts approximately two days (three and four routes I take extra battery). Hope you get a camera with viewfinder, and reduced the amount of bloopers, could take more pictures.

Comments about the quality required.

Expect a camera to photograph what I see.
I have artistic inclinations and aspirations, no qualifications.
Don't expect to just level "by nature", but the photo is clear and definite, that allow identification of the photographed in time.
Ditto about the close-ups of flowers-me quality that allows locating the flower sets.

Canon S100 webcam.

Yair, guess that you mean this:

Does this camera which took in Slovenia and in the Pyrenees? 5 X zoom is enough? Is the sensor allows you to confine light photos?

NX CAM 210

Jonathan, an interesting alternative worthy of examination (if I understand it correctly, it opens the possibility for upgrades and improvements below).
How do you manage to shoot full-light without a viewfinder? Do you see what you're shooting

It is clear to me that I should focus on the type of camera you want me-I still need help (hope I got that information can help help).

Again, many thanks, appreciate the time and thought well of the same answers.

As I wrote-I use the viewfinder.
Mention the existence of cameras like the NX 210 (just an example, I don't know that camera) to get another option – their better optics example cameras SLR images and so on paper can have better performance on parallel bars to large and costly cameras.
It's ה"מחיר is the lack of viewfinder and Flash.
I really don't know how the day better than the old radar (like I have) I really don't see anything on the screen in daylight. They might agree to focus better?
Two more points:
1. photography course (which is a great idea for anyone who likes to take pictures) have wide range camera capabilities — specifically slow exposure (say 30 seconds), and photograph with very reduced – if you are already registered for a course and plan to buy before you call and consult with the instructor about the capabilities required of the camera class and probably have good recommendations.
2. using Flash is a feature of small cameras (point and shoot)-a better camera (and photography) most saving needed.

Jonathan, thank you again.

The NX-210 meant viewfinder.

In light of my experience with the camera, I need a viewfinder.

(It digital or optical; realized haoptit shows a different perspective than the lens due to Parallax, but slower than digital because it required little time lapaltha).

As for the screens, I think to use, due to the reflection, due to being silly.

Consult with the instructor.
The courses are designed for all types of animals. Work in small groups, which taught the principles and tenets, then there is a reference to a student and personal equipment. Individual classes are held when necessary.
Students use the vast majority of reflex cameras and GPS to individual, use compact cameras.
ERGO front demand should decide what camera is suitable for my needs.
If I use the camera during long runs, I pick on reflex. But in the field while many impositions route (and weight limitations, the need for availability and rapid response, a wide variety of lighting types, close-up photography ranges change, light and reflections, power limitations. We've all known constraints.)

Thanks again for your help.

Gone,

The information you added is very important.

2000 budget not enough for a new look, so that's off the table.

Indeed, the apirnais images were taken with the S100 (you linked to S110). Its sensor is bigger than haolipos, and larger lens aperture, allowing light not bad performance borderline, although less than or to new SLR.
It has no viewfinder (the screen isn't bad) and its zoom. On the other hand its good image quality, is small and entered in the budget (it also has manual control options that enable you to learn her photography class and derive from it).

You can admire her additional photos
Here

Another option I was considering assuming less critical weight is buying secondhand SLR (a generation or two back) with versatile lens.

Again, I wouldn't buy SLR-like "because of the small sensor most zoom lens, and usually produces optical compromises.

BTW, I loved the description of missing everyone experience it.

Yair

Thank you for your cooperation and patience.

Spectacular picture and homesick to return immediately to the Middle East. ...

Excellent picture quality, I don't think I need more.

In addition, all photographic types mentioned above are expressed in the file-and inspirational images.

(For some reason, will and I shoot demonstrating camouflage skills better than the blind.)

I got a second opinion appears recommending that they avoid ISO-images, and probably would. Since free shows are not in the budget, the options are reduced.

You have trouble you with a question:

A. After you've been wrong once. Is it a camera?

(On the images you have taken the S95 model name)

B. can I draw her picture taken at night, because the camera's image quality also issued photographs of sunset and sunrise?

3. did you have that camera battery allows you to shoot 300-400 pictures

4. did you encounter in the reflection on the screen?

Many thanks

In fun.

A. Yes, these pictures were taken with the predecessor model (95) when my sister wanted on camera, gave it to her and shtadrgati to S100.

B. improvement against the status quo. The image was taken using the camera on a rock (and a hat), using a long exposure. The great thing about this camera is that you can carry a cheap tripod and (Gorilla style food) for these pictures.

C. allow to extract 300 images, but it is recommended to buy a backup battery (~ $ 10). Doesn't weigh a lot and easily replaceable.

4. at midday in the desert I was rather due to the eyecup reflections. Most of the time. The intensity of the screen can be controlled.

If you happened to Tel Aviv area and wants to play with her a little, so you're welcome.

An interesting plant concatenation.

I want a "mess" and the SLR-like camera option. I use this camera in my trips in the past eight years and I think the tours is an excellent compromise.

The main advantages of these cameras I think:
* Small volume and weight
* Optical zoom
* Manual control
* Good macro capability (my camera can shoot from a distance of about a millimeter from hamosha!)
* Low cost

The disadvantages of these cameras I think:
* Small-sensor disadvantage in low light conditions and a lock on an object and the wait between photo
(It should be noted that nowadays it is quick time but not super fast like an SLR)
* Slow lenses (high aperture) disadvantage in low depth of field photography in low light conditions
There are other disadvantages, which centers about the optical quality of the lens in relation to the lenses of SLR cameras, but for amateur photographers, the difference is not significant.

So why?
Disadvantages I noted very significant photo daily.
When taking pictures indoors the disadvantage of low light photography is very pronounced.
When taking pictures of people (and some kids) need for a short time as lockable and picture to picture a lot. The low depth of field is required.

In my opinion these downsides less trips.
* The main disadvantage of low light photography, only small number of relevant images.
I think the use of a timer and a small tripod (or just the occasional rock) also resolves most of these cases.
* Also carries lock and response time between photo is relevant only in very specific cases, and I suppose quite rare (for motion photography).
* To create a short depth of field effect can often shoot at maximum zoom (if the object close, move).

If you are willing to settle for these cases (at least for me, are really rare possession) then the camera gives a very nice solution for the vast majority of situations.

Finally, in the last four years, I shoot on a Canon PowerShot SX10 IS. I'm very happy with it. You can see here a selection of albums taken it (some of the pictures were taken by members of other cameras all the panoramas were taken from it).

Hi ...

There is another element to notice him and he's tough. The camera I purchased can sink to a depth of ten meters and take away, falling from the shoulder rather than shatter or out of balance. The photo quality is quite reasonable in optimal lighting conditions, rather shaky in the Sun or under conditions of very light or low light. Can you point specifically to extreme lighting situations but never had the patience to deal with it. You probably know its from my blog (pictures from Scandinavia for example).

I think this is the model Brand ofer 41591.619375

Gone, Hello.

I shoot with two cameras:
DSLR: NIkon D80
Sony Nex Mirrorless: 6

I also have 3 lenses for Sony and for Nikon.

So, on a budget of $ 1500-2000 can search is used. This is a very good option! Most people keep precious cameras.

I think Sony is a compromise between quality and weight. The best. But (!!!) I really am amateur photographer. Migrating from Sonny saved me SLR 2.5 pounds of photographic equipment. And I'm very happy with the results. In fact, it's the same sensor and lenses you buy quality.

But more! I spent $ 1600 in switching from DSLR to Sony and got everything in it if you do purchase, spend more money.

I didn't use cameras with sensor less than APSC and I recommend irorles's other models.

But if you really don't mind that Sony quality, Rx-100 compact camera that if good quality as to interest, inotot olimposim, meaning all mirorlesim not Sony. I think of myself to buy one.

The RX-100 really a great camera, better., although some borderline S100 budget.

Like you said, and also used irorles not really entered the budget of 2000 NIS (including lens). Therefore I think this option is on the agenda.

(By the way, Greg, I wouldn't want to start a war here, but to say that the image quality of Hanks is in another League than the other mirorlesim that included funny, this really depends on the lenses) 41591.6677546296 HarmonicWave
