Hi there,

You can walk in any Trek in PS
It may rain, you can catch the day before.
Total rain in quite common and would be difficult to avoid completely. So stock up on quality equipment for walking in the rain.

Thanks for the response. I want to hone-in these months trekking does not require special walking equipments (krampons, hack etc.)? Even in high-altitude trekking Mount Cook

Thank you

Omar.

All treks outside Mount Cook area for a relatively low height and rare move the height of 1500-1700 m and this mountain crossings.
You can always check on the status of the DOC before exiting.

The few places that would be snow on the track from: Tongariro, trenki, Mueller hut.
Mueller hut you can climb in terms of buying a ticket to the day before, so you can't sleep there if the DOC does not confirm in terms of weather. In no event should also have equipment there. This single track around Mount Cook (daily report) that requires experience.
Tranki will probably in snow and ice close to the top if you want to climb up to her, you have to rent crampons and ice axe in the nearest town (it is also possible to climb to the highest point possible without equipment-you won't be disappointed). Anyway you can explore mrgolt tracks to the Summit without difficulty.
Tongariro can be made on all tracks except for climbing to the top of Ngauruhoe which seems to be our own.
In short, you have nothing to worry about.

Tip-You can look at the webcams at most of these places in the Google Earth software.
