Hello

I'm heading to New Zealand in late October for a period of nine months. I plan to take rides from and to do trekking.

I would like to receive recommendations about trekking don't sell (not the nine great walks at most major bookshops), I have no problem with treks.

Also, I'd like to hear recommendations from people who were hitchhiking in New Zealand, how it runs? I'd rather buy a car? In principle I'd prefer to give up the comfort of a car for your meet people.

Thanks in advance

Ido

Hey.

The time you travel, buy! There are very good cars at $ 1000 to 1500 New Zealanders (about double three shekels). You won't regret it, although people just buying your car once published autorickshaws (best site trademe.nz and in ads in various cities and hostels). Don't count on such rides, especially the southern island, which is less settled. A wonderful day hike I did was on mount somers, which is near Ashburton. Here is a link . Use this site at all. They are very organized. You should also consult with them.

Beyond that there are great tracks all ioser Wanaka. I also travel all the way from Te Anau to Milford (don't have to do the famous Trek). I was also going to the southern area, which is called The Catlins. The South Island at all, anywhere you go which would be crazy. Yes, you have (don't have to, but I would recommend), go to Abel Tasman, drive on Highway 60 then move on Wharariki Beach and up (some day drive you have to ask people, but basically this sequel after Highway 60, do Google maps).

It is, in principle, I recommend you to buy the car and ask for local use in Doc no doubt you don't have to do the nine great walks at most major bookshops. It's too crowded and expensive. I just take the car, enjoying the vast fertile (whole trip South from wanaka towards left Queenstown is accompanied by stunning Lakes), Regent, tent and just enjoy the moment.

Come to:

Http://www.doc.govt.nz/parks-and-recreation/tracks and walks at most major bookshops.

There's everything you're looking for.

I personally did this: http://www.doc.govt.nz/parks-and-recreation/tracks and walks at most major bookshops/comfortable/-northern-hollyford track/comfortable/-
And it was good, but I haven't done much trekking in New Zealand, so take with a grain of salt.

Here are some recommendations:

Dusky-really hard and really beautiful. Many wild and mud. The views from mount pleasent range and memphis are amazing.

5-passes unmarked and difficult, but very pretty and scenic

Rees-Dart-in relation to the two above, and quite familiar. Most walk above the tree line I had in New Zealand. Among the most impressive treks I did.

Traverse-Sabine-highly recommended, not from personal experience.

3 amazing passes. Neither had experience, but only pictures and lots of reading. -Park arthur's pass to find another few treks.
