Hi everyone,

My mother is currently in the United States and thought I'd take the opportunity to buy there.

I am looking for a double tent for trekking (on his back, obviously) in rainy and cold regions and spirits (Himalaya, Alps, Iceland) but not to climb mountains.

In terms of weight, the upper limit is 2-2.5 kg (Kyrgyzstan's tent travelled with 3 kg and it was fine).

I'm debating whether to buy 3 or 4 seasons seasons (did 3 seasons going to the areas mentioned above?).

Another point-I'm happy to tent above 1.90 then my head, push the wall.

I saw the tents of tarptent on their website, but I'd like to recommend a specific model from someone walking with that (or know someone who walks).

And last point-the point is that I am willing to invest a few hundred dollars on the model I'm sure you will keep me dry.

Some recommendations?

Thanks a lot!

Ken

Can recommend the Rainbow, this tent I used all lanes until today.

Isn't the easiest tartptant. approximately 900 grams. Because the telescopic rod which makes him resistant to strong winds (it's all relative, of course). There is also an option to open it without pegs, which I've used several times.

Small ventilation Windows, roof tent, ventilated at the bottom connected to ground, can make a bathroom there's rain, "" you can draw and cook inside the tent and store equipment at night although you can easily insert the bag also. It can be set up very quick.
Tall guy, so I don't know how to get along in this tent. You are welcome to come and check.

It seems to me that the DOUBLE RAINBOW gives the best performance.

If you want you can jump to it with me (Kfar Saba area) and next to my tent (tent of about 2.4 pounds with internal space and is very resistant to winds):

I'm not 185. tarptent stratospere length 2.

Because I sleep on an inflatable mattress (thick) and wall angle is quite sharp. Either head or feet touch the network.

OK narrowed MSR hubba hubba-dwelling and double rainbow.

I would love if someone could sharpen the differences. In addition a few questions:
1. I fear that not only hadable Rainbow best because he has one pole in the Center compared to the Y-coordinate of the MSR. You think this is?

2. who is both more space for big people (Some data it is impossible to know just portions.)

3. Double Rainbow have balconies?

4. who will keep me dry in the rain and strong winds will be better?

Thank you very much,

Ken

Can testify about the Rainbow:
1) Rainbow not standing alone but using walking sticks + extension.
2) riyavo very in length (high good) but for my taste, too narrow.
3) Rainbow has two balconies likelihood in terms of coverage area.
Rainbow 4) kept me dry in rain (you should perform to ensure sealing of seams) and Toronto wind conditions (after adding the weight of stones on the pegs).
