Hello everyone.

I'd love to learn with your help which pegs into the ground be pressing, and mountain routes in Europe (I have no experience in runways in Europe, hopes to start experimenting by starting the summer itineraries of them thought are Cyprus, Crete, Corsica, Carpathians, Pyrenees, Alps, Dolomites-obviously in places unable to sleep in a tent, or required a combination of overnight cabin accommodation along with Deluxe, and a reduction for overnight camping).

Based on what I've read so far, and document those recommendations received, I found a few options (links). My meager experience allow me to prioritize among them, so I'd love to learn from experience:

MSR ANNUAL GROUNDHOG (characterized as mtaimottz underground medium and hard):

Aluminum pegs in the appropriate maopinot a NAIL to the ground:

Titanium pegs in VARGO's NAIL, are characterized as appropriate to ground:

Vargo Titanium-http://www.ebay.com/itm/6x-----Nail Stake Ultralight/251549091848-pt = LH_DefaultDomain_15 & hash = item3a917e8808

NAIL the stakes easily configured as appropriate for ground maopinot:

If I miss more suitable alternatives, I would like to learn about it.

Thank you to everyone.

Hey,

To move away from ANNUAL GROUNDHOG MSR. Not durability. But their optimal shape for penetration of land types

NAIL-made from minimum and reasonable location. You can't expect it will last, but for 90% of the time this is a good option. The easiest also used to make building with rocks.

Their obvious disadvantage difficult to nail with a hammer, not durability. The GUYLINE escapes you countless times. In relation to the amount of material you receive.

Anyway ... I use best of mixed Nile easton and nano-I think the best pegs have Everything else kind of dump.

Good luck!

I recommend for ANNUAL GROUNDHOG. What I didn't do, hour and broke in three years three pegs out of 8.
Sit tight, now I ordered a new set. Also, Israel also passed the USA, Switzerland, too.

Chinese NAIL-break them in first trip.

Vargo-nail I have one best placed if a rock in one corner of the tent and ANNUAL GROUNDHOG fails to penetrate.
Titanium ultra model but not

In addition, I think it's really about 15 cm. 8th ANNUAL GROUNDHOG are mean einaf 20 cm.

You're confused, but not because you actually hit it in order to achieve the effect of penetration into hard materials eventually breaks under the strain.
There are people who break stake at once successful and others not beat the same stake for years and praise him and slept with him in a hug.

All the leading companies invest effort in test and development and ready to swear that their technology is the easiest//piercing/strong.

Help you if I say that I'm using in the ANNUAL GROUNDHOG and I really don't trust the EASTON NANO? If you say yes then probably you misunderstood my point.

Regardless of the specific stake, my approach is first to squeeze the shoe peg into the ground, if it's not going to fuck, if I feel she hangs, try a few inches.

The stakes of these precious resources to warp them on the first trip.

VALLYOFDAWN thanks for the tip, get it.

Arthur, I always prefer to assume that I didn't understand, and be an asshole than I realized, probably to stay!

I meant to say that new models of well-known companies, everyone born of careful planning and extensive testing.
I had bad experience with the nano and Easton with the MSR. To someone else it will become.
The stakes might be difficult to determine unequivocally. Like to say I probably make more hot jacket made of synthetic coat of the same weight.

All responses are true and one mainly of experience, which obviously leaves you confused, you
I will add some more data (to confuse you):
Which tent?
What you consider and ibnho?
A few pegs?
Does the ishklan stakes is a crucial consideration or sleepers.
What type of large spikes coming out daily that the track surface and a daily walk-producer?
Last week I got a new tent (perhaps it meets closer Forum), the AHL with titanium pegs weighing 1 gram (-). I would recommend them warmly as toothpicks.
For one, I'm going with 4יתדות msr mini pegs annual groundhog + some sticks of 3 g.
Sweeping all solution but that options had to work with what we have.

Besides, there's always rocks.

Arthur – thank you. One of these sites, I came across a few reports of problems with pegs-EASTON turns the main stakes tend to fall when the force. I found positive a second opinion about the longer model of ANNUAL GROUNDHOG (possibly a combination of several of these stakes and pegs fit needle number).

-Thank you very much. You're right, I should have noted the following specific characterization--of the need:

The tent pegs I need not camping, but to establish a rectangular Tharp. Its 2X3 meter, weighs 360 grams, 20 anchors spinning along (originally had 8, I added another 12, and I intend to add more anchor points in the center of the manifold-before thinking about clever way to do it without harm sealant).

The number of pegs – want to carry with me 8-10 stakes in favor of formations better suited to weather (e.g., half pyramid has a source and a pair of doors, some of those pegs on doors configurations, or formations they require a wig peg in the Middle sets, are not expected to withstand strong forces could hold 2 simple "spikes").

The pegs is not decisive. Order of priority is compliance, reliability and durability, and then weight and cost. Difference of 10 grams to peg is edging to me (fast installation and dismantling, and a good night sleep, have a greater effect on weight loss by reducing the time option to reach taps for tap water ...).

Afyon-rather appropriate for ground spikes, typical of the country, and to understand the routes too. In soft ground try to improvise solutions (using stones if the reusable bags, anchor, etc.).

I found a few pieces of information, which I'd like to share with you (but they will emphasize reading and product of experience):

Assuming the material which may thin the same stakes: cross section increases the penetration capability and reduces the ability to handle large, large interior space and hitting ability but improves penetration ability.

Spike length increases grip ability without compromising the penetration.

You can use a spike capable of the highest penetration to the initial creation, and then tuck into ownership stakes reduced infiltration capacity.

BMW ownership stakes tend to circulate and some difficult to stick with hits (although there are stakes that BMW designed the arch is directly above the hinge pin and thus benefit all energy for the right spot).

Pegs the needle configuration should be stuck at an angle of 45 degrees to improve grip and make it harder on the string to helplessly.

Have to think about how to draw the pegs (easier retrieval pegs in the BMW or other ownership stakes, and the more difficult the needle configuration).

Pegs moving the ownership stake could allow attaching the curtain to the ground in the event that the ground does not allow deep penetration of the stake. However, these edges are weakness, so it's best to avoid these pegs.

Coloring the main stakes black nails ease shows illuminating the darkness.

Reiterates, this same information sitting on a Chair pecked (yet I would love if it has to something, however trivial, since until now I learn from members of the Forum, and I have so what to contribute.)

On the surface, according to the description, pegs with V or Y profile created difficulty in penetrating the ground hard, think the models fit than other nail and easton were declared flawed (cap bolts), think that the Vargo Ti fit your needs (homogeneous titanium dome) because you have a tendency, "Tharp catch wind like a sail, you can always put the stake and put on it.

Recommend it. Reliable, and affordable experience.
Although "magnanimity" about the others, I don't think for your Tharp, pegs heavy duty.

Thank you, three recommendations (the stake, and the stele).

Despite the option to post (which may prevent retrieval vertically but may affect less about "tearing" horizontal ground), and length of Sergei on the pegs, I wonder if I should look for a longer first wicket (for better grip without damaging the ability of penetration). The difference in regard to weight, length is less important to me (especially if other side pegs combine pegs the needle).

Thanks for the link to the site. There are many interesting products. I attaches great importance to the good opinion of him, so even if you don't buy those stakes might buy other items.

Thanks again.

Although it doesn't quite belong directly to the discussion, but John discovered the site randomly browsing on the net I saw his video on YouTube, what means something innocently and in his heart. "

Nahum, never suspected the integrity and ioshrthch.
In my opinion, Forum members information about trusted sites (or vice versa, on disappointing) to purchase equipment, part of the discussion on this item deserves.

Tonight I wanted to open a discussion on pegs. And early on me:)

I have a rainbow of tarptant and used for quite a while in cuneiform of Easton who came with him. Unfortunately the recent attempts to put them onto pretty and they're pretty broke (in the Negev, the Galilee). Bought stakes in Ricochet which are quite heavy and abutments and correspond to terptant but they penetrated the soil better than haiston.

Bought on eBay spikes V for the Chinese are pretty buckled. Even those from aluminum and those Chinese מ"טיטניום".

I think to try the MSR's gravendaog I heard good things about them (or libido). How they can penetrate the soil? Of course, if there are rocks so it's pretty useless.

The second option is the titanium of ARGO but these nails but building V

But and killed. ... So try to find a good deal on eBay for ground hog or mini ground hog.

I'd love to hear more opinions from experience. Always fun to read.

Very weak Vagro V titanium. Had the United States, six did not survive even one.

Easton's class that come with tt or even weaker. Crack in the head with the first serious blow.

I would recommend but not annual groundhog. More 5סמ this is very important as land of Europe. Otherwise out easily.

Sergey, thanks for the information.

Was a place in the country where ANNUAL GROUNDHOG stakes couldn't penetrate the land?

Thank you.
