Greg, is there a way to display coordinates in a garmin basecamp or google maps?
I ask, because I'm going to prepare myself for maps (Iceland), and google earth is not so helpful to me because there are no topographic layer.
Incidentally, if we look beyond the targeted Israel 36

On Google Earth you can see where passing latitude/altitude and draw them on the paper map. That was the intention.
Dude – maybe I was wrong about Israel location a bit:)

You can hire individual trips GPS
Look at nubi.co.il

Itamar, I think you skipped this excellent post of Ariel.

So at least in Novi on their website-you can rent a GPS RECEIVER 64 series advanced garmin's that are considered excellent though a bit heavier 230 grams.

I actually leave it as an option. Next week, stop by and see exactly how and why.

BTW if you travel to Iceland notice that there will be areas where no map and thus the device that shows you only the kaorodintas can be.

Hey Arthur.
Thank you, I noticed that and it is an option. Thankfully I found all Iceland's topographical tshtich, so a placeholder can be useful, but certainly the leading option at the top of the table. I am hoping that you can update after visiting there.

I used Android Smartphone (Galaxy 3 followed by Galaxy 5) 4 x 4 trip in Iceland and in mountain bike tour in Cyprus. My favorite is software that enables downloading oruxmaps topographic maps free in advance and has a quantity that exceeds any dedicated GPS.

Possible disadvantages are long-battery if the device is open and the screen on, and look at the Sun (more trouble than bikes). Everything else is in my opinion strengths.

Arthur, rental rates for two weeks is 400. Because I think I have it over a month, it's the price of a new etrex gps such as the 20-do you have experience with?
Valleyofdawn-you can say compared to gps devices if there was a difference in my reset/accuracy of the device?

-Accuracy less than 5 meters.

Hatapssot time quicker unlocked when open data communications because the AGPS-assited GPS location using cell phone location. If no data communication hatapssot used first time slow and regular.

If it is two 400 so really it's not.

Actually, I have no experience with the ETREX, opinions about networking – at least on the pretty ETREX30. Some say he and some he didn't. In terms of models of garmin I think is best for travelers due to the big screen, the battery is strong (stronger than all other models) and that he can work with many types of satellites. Although the Manta of the 64 models is more advanced Quad but not Aired is a great improvement.

I think I might buy this model GPS too, unless I can find a better alternative in the network.

As a devout eTrex30 user for 4 years I must say he changed my experience of walking trails.
A pair of lithium batteries sufficient to 7-9 days of operation and accuracy admirable.
In my last Trek in Nepal were porters even sections followed that only my knowledge where Grameen buried the trail in the snow.

I wear the hand with Grameen out really special adapter.

Amnon, you go with it switched on all the time? What is the difference between the 30 and 20? There is a difference of about $ 100.

Yes. The device is switched on all the time and I shut it down at the end of the day.
The price differentials between 10-20-30 additional functions resulting from me (barometer, compass, etc.)

The difference between 10 and 20 is colorful display

Between 20 and 30 is the barometer and compass + altimter.

Itamar, garmin's website (I wish all companies learn from them), it is possible to do comparisons between all models till tomorrow.

I saw that there are demonstrations of eTrex20 with an option of a compass. Is it possible?
I tried to play with it a bit (with comparisons) and so did I.
Another annoying to discover device sold in dual price abroad.

Don't. ETREX 20 doesn't come with a compass. Can be seen 30?
