Hey guys.

Girlfriend and I thought jumping week in Europe before returning to normal-thought maybe Romania (Fagaras/Retrezat) or Greece (Zagori).

Whether to go in May is possible in terms of weather? And if these places can recommend something more specific?

Thanks and nice weekend

Don't know about the weather in May. A few years ago in the middle of September went from Turnu Rosu, a village at the West end more or less until the road crosses pgrsh.
Very lovable Trek marked paths and lovely views, and not too hard. We went for three and a half days in total, and can continue for a few more days (estimates a week).
At least on this side of the road all the significant low and should take all the food if you don't want to drop 500 feet at the end of the day. Recall lacked water, and are marked on the map pretty First night we slept in a tent, two half abandoned rafiog in rafiog large and cluttered.

There is a path that traverses the entire range, and you can buy quite cheaply on the Internet.

Like all trek that traveled about, highly recommend. We were all alone in the first two days, it's a great personal reasons.

I can't help either from personal experience, but perhaps the stories that site will give you a more detailed Greece:

(In both cases there are links to stories about the places you mentioned)

Anyway we would come back and list what you've got here, and where you go, that's the kind of questions that always arise here in the Forum.:-)

Basically I will write something a little personal experience into "what I would do if I were you if I need to plan a trip to mid-May." two years ago we had planned and we walked along the edge of the track season (October), the key was to look for low walkways (below 2,000 m) and to do that we use the very successful site via-alpina.org.

We went for a particular South Bavaria borders the elves and is described here: http://www.hike.co.il/posts/t70937% D7% 94% D7% 99% D7% 95% D7% 95% D7% 97% D7% 94% D7% 9C% D7% 99% D7% 9B% D7% 94% D7% A9% D7% 9C 10% D7% 99% D7% 99% D7%, 9E,% D7%-% D7% 91 points Via-Alpina-E4---Maximiliansweg # post584424

Checking network cameras now of some of the major places we passed them, e.g. http://www.foto-webcam.com/webcam/BrauneckKarwendel/#/2015/04/27/1400 here and definitely looks like the field passes, of course if you have a few more weeks.

In general I advise to go to the site of the via alpina and the heights middle track, the advantage of the site is all the information necessary for tourism (hiking huts temporary phone profiles, etc) and it saves a lot of time.

A year ago, of Zagori (at least in the high parts of the forward cabin) opened in June.

The cabin was opened only in 23/6 and some of the agents had to move because of the snow.

We walked in late April 2016 in Zagori includes passed the House (which was closed). The conditions were a bit restrictive but doable!

Hi,

Tirkat between the villages in the Pindus?

Read unmarked trails. Is it true?

Thank you

Hadas
