Sad to see California dries.

Recommend that you also include the half-dome (need pramit, less scary than it looks) and the Cloud's rest (not needed). Both and.

Constituted. You're so lucky!!

View from Cloud's rest to Half-Dome:

Hi, thanks for responding and wish, either (sorry I didn't answer).
Brian, I'm not going to climb half dome that doesn't really appeal to me especially hot and not really capable of handling the heat and looking forward to return to the heights, although the Valley really really amazing! I used to travel in high season, blew up.
On the way to Yosemite was traveling 16 years and done here several walks a day.

Today I took a bus tour to Glacier Point, I didn't want to go, I wanted to rest. But as Prati quarter and it's one of the most amazing places here on Earth! Simply breathtaking.

And that's it. I'm going back tomorrow for a good thing. I'm starting to get used again to small pleasures of civilization which is not that good ...;-)

The target for tomorrow's Sunrise High Sierra Club activist currently bear name makes trouble for Travelers approaching and trying to snatch food etc the bear has stimulated and it therefore seems desperate. Guess who's going to sleep in a tent town, with the whistle in his hand all night?
Like I said the Rangers gave me pramit today: prepare to watch tomorrow bear!

Oh, and this morning woke me up at 4 a. ..
Couldn't shoot, unfortunately, saw him for three seconds.

However,
Hope to report three weeks more, Whitney, Lone Pine.
Good bye!

A whistle? What whistle? I think we look at her hand without a whistle.

It is important to remove the clock so that no ttkatk hagora after the meal as a Gator Neverland.

I guess if they would appreciate that this is a clear and present danger, at least because of fear of lawsuits, they were closing the area to visitors (best I don't want to think about the worst case).

The image rmonich is magnificent!

I worried more by terrible mosquitoes at sunrise than bear did.

We were there in June and I hope for you that by the end of August, these bloodsuckers relaxing slightly.

Hope you got to see the bear, but from a safe distance.

Still recommend the anomaly to cloud's rest-I think.

Anyway, I sure do!

The friends:-) lommmm
I write you from Reds Meadow, Thursday of the JMT FILMS DISTRIBUTION.
The track is great!!!! I'm healthy and strong and much, much more confident on the trail. I very much enjoyed although it's still hard for me with (I can barely sleep and hate all the dirt. But that's me and I deal with it).
In fact, according to my plan (mlhathila wasn't going to stick to it too) I was supposed to go back for lunch, to obtain the following day and move on. But mine were pretty short so far, sometimes very short, so yesterday I decided to withdraw and consequently arrived here as early as noon. Of course I was not the Holy Trinity: washing bed shower and decided to stay.
Incidentally, the hiker's box blew here.! It's unbelievable. Not only did I already supplies the following days (VVR) not enough to grind since I got., m&m, energy bars-you name it!

Despite the good conditions and extensive DNA security surrounds me, for my future very tangible danger unfortunately. And after the clothes from the machine to the dryer. You asleep anyway;-)

So for weeks--raging at Kings Canyon fire zone petition. I'm following the property known so far, "" and I wasn't really upset (grief the terrible damage the Rabbi in the wonderful nature and especially animals like that too tzmodadot with terrible dry conditions). But as I go for news are starting to upset me very personal level.
As of today, at least theoretically, level up Whitney. But the situation on the ground unconscious. There's a lot of smoke that harms not only the landscape but also and mainly on air quality. I get these last few days, in fact already at Yosemite Rangers, where I got the news about pramit) walking and discourage leaving for because I cannot tolerate the smoke. I definitely don't see myself dealing with these conditions.
Yes, I have a couple of days, and I hope for the best but certainly unsettling.

Anyhoo, the fire is given State I have no possibility to take advantage of him, and so I keep track but mainly focuses on now. I'm determined to enjoy the trail as far as able and if nature will decide that I'm not coming to the Whitney, I think I can get that too (I think the fire is in this sad case-manmade;-(!).

Amber your of the JMT FILMS DISTRIBUTION!

P.s. to all teachers and teachers-a successful year!

Amber,

First, whatever happens, these experiences gained, and what you have learned, no one can take from you! (Except Mr. Alzheimer's had more time ...)

Secondly, your approach is correct. enjoy the moment. If you let your worries to annoy you, be punished twice, partly because the possible path, and also because of anger.

Live acts and kisses to bears.

* Uh, trmlies showers of Red Meadows was one of the walking for pleasure. Must not miss out on the experience in my case it was an hour before sunrise and before.

* In 2007 wasn't hiker box at Red Meadows.
Good to know that it exists for them.

* About the fire, can be until you get to the business zone cools down.
Summer fires in California are common and constitute a real problem not necessarily name but also in other regions in the U.S. and Canada. Sometimes are the result of human activity, but also due to natural phenomena such as lightning.
If you have enough time then you might want to take some time and am so keep.

Hello Friends,

Writing to you from Vermillion Valley Resort (aka VVR). I got here yesterday afternoon, Wed September 2nd, after a 17 mile day ~ that ~ 4.5 languages included dusty-ugly-smokey miles of trail alnog the sad, drying lake Edison (the ferry is not due to the low level operatinal of the lake).

Today I have decided to take a rest day here at VVR; I don't really feel like I need a rest, I am stopping mostly because I am not sure I want to keep on walking but I am not able to quit taking to make a ...

"I've been walking for the last 2 days in bad visibility really mostly due to the said fire. It sucks article about exceptional!

I am hiking first and foremost for the views and ... They are NOT great at the moment; I don't know if I want to keep walking like this.

And for those who suggested waiting or by-passing:

It is not a question of 100 km or of waiting a few days; This fire broke even before I started my PCT (which was on Aut ...); It is HUGE and is nowhere near being contained. From what we're hearing the entire southern section of the JMT FILMS DISTRIBUTION is smokey; Like a north told me yesterday: "bounder it only worse is rooted!" Though others did say they had an occasional break through here and there, when the smoke cleared for a while. I saw it myself "yesterday, when Silver Pass was quite clear while north of it (from Red's Meadows pretty much to Fish-Creek\Tully Hole ~ 17 miles) and all the way to the South (as far as I could see) it was smokey and very dirty-grey.

Also, if you know the area-getting out (or back in) is a matter of USING an AT 2 days on any direction box. So waiting somewhere and then coming back is hardly an option too.

If I am bailing-I will not be coming back!

'Re. I have a big to make taking

That's it for now. Whatever happens I hope I'll manage to keep the SMILE or at using various ... RECOVER it after a while

Stay tuned!

JMT FILMS DISTRIBUTION's Inbar.

The only one who's been there and knows the situation on the ground, and the only one who knows the amber, wish you the best decision possible.

And keep my opinion to myself.

From what I read in the forums that impressed really sucks (though it seems possible and changes throughout the day and at different heights). Incidentally, part of the port is blocked-off check.

Another possibility (dependent on time and available budget) to hitch a ride from vvr to fresno and encrypt to more normal section of the pct (in d.c.)

You roll, hope you enjoy the experience!

JMT FILMS DISTRIBUTION-THE END!

I have made my taking my last day and yesterday was on the JMT FILMS DISTRIBUTION!

It is exactly like Yair.g said: visibility changes with the wind ... it can open up for a little bit and be quite nice again for a while but than it is very smokey and you can ' t see a thing.

This just doesn't work for me! I don't want to have a good half day then a bad half day, I am tired of having to smoke-talk and decide every few hours if I am continuing or not, learning the escape, media etc. It puts strain on my hiking and I am just not as much as company enjoying I should be.

So I had a dream, to walk from Yosemite Valley to the very top of Mount Whitney and then some-and it is not going to happen, not this year.

But ... this dream took me to England's South West Coast Path, to London and All; I spent fuel time with my baby brother; I hiked and kayaked in Garibaldi Provincial Park with Seals in Indian Arms; I section-hiked the PCT and ... Had a taste (7 days) of the JMT FILMS DISTRIBUTION!

And it all started with my JMT FILMS DISTRIBUTION dream!

So ... I took a few minutes to grieve ... and then I realized that ... I am still quite happy with my thankful and share ... I think I can handle the disappointed, or like I told Jim here at VVR: they'll just have to have me again another year!

As I am not the only one, leaving the VVR is arranging a shuttle to Frensno for us tomorrow ". Yes, a bit is quit expensive but I can manage it.

And ... "I've got a few ideas of how I may" compensate " myself" after all, I am still traveling!

So stay tuned!!! MORE TO COME

Respect for the courage to decide it's not for you, not to continue, it turns out that other people are doing it, because it is possible.

However, the JMT FILMS DISTRIBUTION will be waiting for you when you come to hike the PCT.

Get to the next adventure.

Good luck with the rest of your travels. As you wrote-I flew there to enjoy the views and nature, and to worry about constantly smoke and escape routes.
I hope you really find somewhere else to go for it, like Yair. Although Washington has several major fires, there must be other options without smoke.
