Anyone have any experience/tips for WHW in Scotland?

I want to go in late may by a program of 7 days.

I would like to receive any suggestion or recommendation to trek.

Yo Lauten,

I went the WHW six days from late September 2014 (a combination of b & b and a tent).

Feel free to read my blog:

WHW overview

WHW the first day etc.

If you have specific questions after the PS feel free to ask here on this website.

Good luck!

Do you think at the end of April (Passover), reasonable weather? The route passes?

Yes, it is certainly possible for אע"פ month erratic (there's a good chance you have" everything "). You must be prepared for temperatures and waterproof rain gear, of course, protected from the rain. Always have luck with the weather in Scotland (all Trek actually) but may is considered to be a very popular month for and as you approach the end of April, you increase your chances to win similar conditions, but still ahead of the crowds and ... The Midge.

I'd bet on April without hesitation. (It's not that you stay dry even in August )

Read for example here andhere.

Hi to everyone.

We plan to make the Trek from mid-June. And are currently working on the set book. How much do you have to order everything? Those who pre-order in how King's Hous Hotel made the payment? The transfer, which is what they sought costs money.

Besides any advice is appreciated.

Hey

If I land at 0830 a.m. in Glasgow. Can start the Trek in the same day?

It is possible. The starting point of the Trek is very close to the city (about 30 minutes by train if I remember correctly, I don't know about access from the airport I landed and Gamble from Edinburgh). Has a reasonable frequency of trains and buses.

But personally I don't like to start walking on the day of the flight, even if arriving early enough. This is error prone if the flight is delayed. Also, if you're not asleep in it can linger for a long day and tedious after a sleepless night. Entirely.

It is a division of 7 days. If is rational? Yes of course.

I went in six days, it worked out better. But it's very personal.

Tindrom to Kings House that long day of about 30 km, but it's doable. This is not the route, Alpine heights are not that serious. Of course depends on your personal skills.

You are welcome to look at my blog on alternative distribution (though as noted shorter) and where to annually every night (I combined camping alternately). There is also a price (two years ago).

WHW blog

There is a lot of information online about possible disputes such as this.

Hey
Would you recommend buying the book? And the map should be booked in advance or bought at the trailhead?
Thanks:)

I don't think that buying a book on track. There's more than enough information on the official website for including on the Internet. It's not a complicated logistical or so trail map perfectly enough.

Hey, Chris,

Look, look what I wrote here about written guides (towards the end); The map actually do I head online (the blog link to map and locate him ordered) but also it doesn't have (link given also blog to online map)-for me it is just part of the fun of the preparation.

The bottom line, as she wrote, Anat is very simple and being so popular-there is tons of information on the network. And now-the site of walkinghighlands (that he gave links to a blog) by itself is enough.

Good luck!
