Hello everyone,

I have an old tent (but still successful, 1.8 kg per tent 2 13-year not on foot), congratulations at the cord (cord shock) his inner no longer flexible.

But what?

I can't seem to cut the ends of the rods to replace.

Each pole has, of course, tip

(Examples:

And I just can't get the PS one method call to use two leaflets, one holds and one pole-but it's not practical, because even if I cover the rod with cloth, the flyer short; More pressure and I'm afraid to bend (or, as it was in Greece 7178 aluminum, broken).

A second method is to soak the tip in hot water to melt glue if you have to extend the pipeline. I've tried don't work.

If I had a screwdriver long (over 30 cm) and very strong/width diameter of less than 8 mm, maybe I can push out the edges. Of course there is no such thing. Not a practical price.

In short, any advice to separate the tip is appreciated.

I thought of two possible solutions (but none tried):

Cut the string near the end of the first chapter. The new tie string to the end of the string.
It replaces most of the string without dealing with these tips.
Good luck...

Alternatively,
Various adhesives often less durable than round continued.

I haven't done anything like that, but you can grab the pole close to the tip with pliers patent (ג'בקה)
(You can prevent scratches by inner piece of the bicycle).
I caught the tip itself in the same way,
Then try to rotate one of the leaflets.

These are just ideas, never tried myself so no warranty.

Good luck

The company's tent? What model is it?

Tried to replace the tip. Trying to be greased (with wd40)?

Jonathan: I've done the first time, and I'd rather not do again; II. I tried just that. What is failing.
Mountain Hardwear with Tri-Light 2. I haven't absorbed it in WD40-try. There may be rust from aluminum to aluminum ariactia between.

About the heat try maybe a campfire or stove and put the end of hot, the heat would be higher and I very highly doubt that heat melt the rod tip.
