Good morning

Does anyone have a recommendation for an edible snacks provide a lot of energy, are light in weight and be available to Kenya?

In previous trips I had simple Energy Bar snacks and they don't always provide the trade.

Thank you

Ehud

Ehud,

I much prefer GORP mixture (mini nuts, cranberries, Palm, etc) that I make myself ב'עדן or something similar. It doesn't weigh 0 but does the job much better.

In North America the name Cliff Grill snack Bar was introduced to. A piece of "casting". But filling and very popular. Don't know if available, very much depends on where you are traveling.

Bon app?tit.

Don't like energy bars. Prefer to take a mixture of dried fruit and chocolate and make myself cereal bags of various kinds.

I prefer full deploy half a loaf of bread (or chalupas), peanut butter, jam or honey.
Filling and satisfying, sweet and delicious. The "cheat".

Bread mold into next week.

Can I travel in Altai Republic referendum. that's what saved me.

Let me eat about half of what I needed. So lucky to have had all the snacks. Stood me up 3-4 a day 100 gram snack and thus survived because it added me 1200-1600 calories.

In need to avoid oil-based snacks.
That means all the seeds. Almonds, cashews, peanuts, Sesame, etc.
The body needs effort mainly sugar and after walking into proteins.
K yankale times preferred dates for a bag of peanuts/fries/tzitos/Bamba

Don't agree with.

Should not be exceeded, and needs. And about that endless scientific studies, mostly members of Merton.

And dates don't opt for peanuts or Hilwa.

The correct combination of Hilwah has sugar and fat. Is very suitable for walks.
Nuts, however, this is a disaster for the body in terms of energy.
If you find a study that contradicts the claim that I'd like to read.

Show me a gooey marathon runner almonds and peanuts before running.

Important salts back to the body. Sugar is important to the body. Just a matter of precedence. The need for glucose

The relationship of exercise intensity utilization line to FFA (percent Vo, max) is the reverse of that for glycogen. '' Therefore, at rest and with prolonged light exercise, fats can supply over 90 percent of the needs of the oxidative muscle. At moderate intensities, free fatty acids work in the major blood-borne fuel, supplying up to 50 percent of the needs of the muscle.

Most of the visitors came from glycogen repositories. Because it's not just sipic

Cliff is a delicious energy in the world, what to talk about. It is also organic and vegan. And very, very tasty.
The disadvantage: difficult to find him.

Why didn't you take really dried fruit and nut sack with all kinds and eat?

Just be careful not to eat a lot of almonds and cashews:

Also like the equipment should match the nature of your trip, what kind you trips (Time, day, week, month or more, the difficulty with easy walk/liver or combined sample type and availability can purchase type, etc.)

Join me on a trip?
Make it clear that I am not an expert but here's what her diet for myself:

In cycling, running, long days have mostly body and carbohydrates then dates and real energy bars (as Cliff bar and c. gross) are the winners of "what the body needs, although it doesn't solve the shortage of salt, sometimes fills up by sailors, balls
And do not forget to eat well in the evening when the day is over.

In walks another consideration is leg-the bottom line is how compressed food--how many calories are there in 100 g.
Because the effort is intense but not low but persistent need for instant energy is lower,
And it allows you to eat more and more varied food, nursing a big meal in the evening can fill with proteins etc.
What I eat today mach this trip most crackers and dried cheese and sausage (Earth-grinding) as principal
And completes with almonds, raisins, Granola, chocolate and potato chips (500 calories for 100 grams, and no salt eats better than that).

By the way,
There (don't know how proven) that can "train" your body to consume more fat as an energy source,
By a combination of eating oily foods and exercise-and that's exactly what happens in sightseeing.

Bon app?tit.

Thanks to all respondents and all that.

There seems to be a lot of opinions and a lot of accumulated experience, each what suits him.

At this point I asked one of the recommendations by the author in the U.S. to buy Cliff Grill trail snack bar.

Package of 18 units. Look what I think after the summer tour (BTW-it's not very long trips of one to two weeks).

Good bye

Ehud
