Hello friends,

This time I did the track in early spring (April 3 before last). There are no words. Amazing! Crazy rash. The flowers that bloom has already resulted in a middle height just beginning to blossom in high altitudes. I highly recommend this route. Not an easy route but rewards accordingly. Total increase in can almost 2000 SE. The route is just over 12 miles to those who want to climb to the top and still see snow. There are so many people in orbit. The river we saw a young couple backed down from Nimrod went down to Banias. Out of them we met an hour after the beginning of the track we haven't seen one.

I recommend to start no later than 7:00. Only when I started at 6.

Below is a description of the itinerary:

0) first must call the situation 04-6966207 that you set. I did so even when I was alone. Or you could get a ban on entering

1) getting there: 50 se before recreation reference has left the sacred site for Druze-hadar Tomb. Turn, continuing until the beginning of the stream (backed) and the track. Park. The track is closed by an iron grid (probably so cows don't enter), moving it in and out. Our route is marked in black.

2) track going in stream channel that backed horev. Now there is still water but almost no flow (water in). The track until the split with blue (rising to Nimrod Fortress) climbing boulders and quite tiring.

3) splitting are black and beautiful and hard way. But still all the time. 2 miles of this thing. Enter a kind of river of flowers. The section ends at Rimonim gate.

4) turn left. "Military road axis 5. Continue rising to the split with black. Here I recommend JAWS for the main deck (black) leads to the remains of a church. What is upset at this altitude – I have no idea. Walk for the black church to take no more than 15 minutes. Going back to red in the same way.

5) continue in red until the unforgiving type red route turns left and starts to climb steeply. Leaving the military and return to it later. For those short on time can continue. Who does that lose beautiful landscapes and impressive cave. I recommend to turn red.

It's not easy to type 6) to cave. The entrance to the cave is quite narrow, but later the move expands.

7) from the cave the route a little bit up and down a lot. In the end it's not the same way we're military.

8) the track continues along the path as kilomatr and then turn left again. And with oil Valley from (lots of mud). The scenery here is like Swiss landscape. Amazing! Continue to the parking lot, moving her and the road. Down to the trailhead. Already in the parking lot there is little snow today.

9) after each person did that part. Climbing steeply this thing to the end of track 4 and kilomatr-se 500 difference. It's not easy. Climbing abanim mostly normal.

10) after rising to the top can descend to the upper parking lot on foot or by cable car. A taxi from Canal recreation about 150-180 shekels. The military forbids car with Hermon after 5 pm. After calculating a taxi out than to travel with two cars.

And:

Stream-backed her on boulders in an hour and a half.

נחל גובתה עליה על בולדרים

After an encounter with a blue trail that descends from Nimrod:

Neve Ativ until rising to just follow the river of flowers. Even I had a feeling that he runs. Very pretty.

After red track reference see the beautiful castle and the Valley.

Panorama after passing the cave (sold):

From Valley, Mount Hermon Directorate:

Don't know why but I was feeling like you're in an amazing place.

And of course our friends from last time. Probably those horses.

From pool

The last hard climbing Mountain cotoneaster. There is still snow and with top cable structure

Flowering.

The Green:

The achbrs passes beneath the snow. Several times I have seen them run right on the snow on Mount Hermon

There was a section of SE-300 went snow experience GORETEX socks and crampons ":)

What you see here:

Shoes: Innov-8 235 minimalist Trailroc whom I walk with weights up to 12-14 pounds. Very easy and airy. Drop 0

Of Thorlo Coolmax socks that you don't see that GORETEX socks hiding them.

GORETEX socks of Rocky. Hot shit! Highly recommend. Completely water-proof and breathable yet "explained." Here, for example, the shoes got wet from the snow. But internal socks were dry and Brown.

And crampons crampons "actually but not of course provide seamless protection. Worked great. Small & they only weight 110 g. Vargo Titanium Pocket Cleats

That's what I plan to take to WHR

Almost the Summit:

Very nice!!! Thanks for the report and photos.

To the thread would be more useful for the rest of us who want to go there, a few questions:

1) need to make a reservation at b & b?

2) direct shuttle from Ben-Gurion airport or need to rent a car?

3) go the same route as shown in manual or practical and uriantim Cicerone?

(Oh, and I forgot to ask, my friend and I were in pretty good shape, running a marathon in about an hour and a half, it would be possible to do this route in less than two hours?)

Greg nice track-special report!

Very beautiful picture-especially liked the mushroom Hermon and pictures.

Try to imagine a desert trip report I made recently.

Thanks guys for the comments:)
Chenav, if you are running an hour and a half, Merton could cost on this track five minutes:).

Seriously, the track is not easy. But it was a significant improvement from the very last time. Climbing in 2013 was just starting to prepare for the half. This time I was already full and after Merton years of strength training etc. I recommend to do this route not only because he is unique also because it requires fitness level similar to that for mountain trips abroad.

Gregg.
